Andre checked time yet again, waiting impatiently for the other guard who was supposed to be here. now he'd be the only idiot standing outside in the cold, just to open a stupid door, not to mention the stiff uniform. his uniform was stark white and blended in with the striking snow on the ground as well as the soft marble of the colossal building. altnough the suit was uncomfortable, it was worth the trouble as it would help Andre provide toys for less fortunate kids. he loosened the neckline of the suit a smidge before checking his watch once more. where was he? was he even going to show up?

Thyla walked up the steps, holding up the hem of her dress, as to not trip. Even though the wind was blowing and
it was quite cold, Thyla didn't feel any of the bitter winter wind. She could feel that she neared a building, as the
wind seemed to blow over her. Pacing forward, she nearly tripped up a few steps that caught her off guard. She then
went up them, unsure about how far they would go. Thyla reached the top, and felt the presence of a guard. She
hoped that he would be on her left, and nodded toward what was hopefully him.

Ava bustled about inside, putting on her falconing glove, and getting ready for the guests to arrive. Her puffy, blue
dress bit at her waist. It ended at the top of her shins, and she donned a grey-brown falconing glove on her left hand.
She grabbed one of her large, covered birdcages. Ava brought the cage to the front of the hall, setting them down on the ground. She unlatched the door, and with a flutter of wings, she pulled out a small falcon. Ava smiled, stroking it's back, then fed it a piece of meat. Looking up, she saw some of the guests begin to enter.

[ A masquerade ball. A lively, social event full of cleverly attired guests, with a wide array of entertainment, food and drink. All of which Dakota wasn't here for.

Dakota adjusted his jet black mask, as he forced his pace to slow down upon approaching the vintage structure. Of all dragons it was hard to believe Dakota was late for a mission. The ever dedicated agent was busy mulling over some recent report papers of his most recent assignment, and unfortunately let the time slip away from him. Even as unlikely as it was for the convict to cause conflict in the matter of minutes, Dakota had learned never to underestimate the enemy. No matter, Dakota assured himself silently, which was an odd thing for the normally totally composed and cool agent to do. He'll have a chance to mingle with the crowd sooner or later, and in the meantime, he would be occupied calculating for any escape plan this felon had in mind.

He looked up at the entrance, it was impressive, no surprise there. Dakota glanced at the guard to the side of the entry, he didn't doubt the other guard had noticed him by now,. Now having a close up look, maybe this convict had thought twice about infiltrating the ball. Dakota gave more thought to the theory, there was a likely chance the inside wasn't armed with the same precautions, a thief with his level of experience was probably more than willing to risk it either way. Regardless, Dakota duty bond to be a guard for the masquerade ball, whether the rogue was going to show up or not.

He noticed Thyla for the first time. And as he silently fell in position on the other side of the entrance. He couldn't remember if an attendee was required to present an invitation to the guards, or if it was really more of a welcoming affair. He took a moment to analyze the attendee. She seem uncertain, and it took Dakota a second glance to realize why. Blind. What a strange fragility. But apparently not all that restricting, Dakota almost smiled then. It was wonderful how well she could get around. Ever prepared, Dakota braced to open the doors with Andre approval. ]

OOC: permission was received for Dakota to be attending the masquerade ball for investigation purposes. The leads that brought him to this conclusion are false, so don't worry about a thief wondering the ball room. (doesn't mean it can cause a little bit of panic though haha)

Andreyez smiled as a shadow approached before realizing it was the other guard, Dakota. although he was a bit annoyed by his lack of punctuality, but he let slide as he delivered a smooth "hello." and a "thank you for volunteering." before turning back towards Thyla. "excuse me ma'am, I hope you don't mind but may we see your ticket to the event?" he asked smoothly, trying not to insult her or excuse her of not having a ticket. as he waited, he mouthed the instructions for the night to Dakota, hoping he could understand, "ask for ticket, open door or deny entrance depending on if they have a ticket or not.". the job wasn't very glamorous but it was a chance to give underprivileged kids a nice toy. not too long ago Andre himself was one of those less fortunate kids. he smiled at the thought of his first donated toy. someone had actually cared enough to buy a small Hot Wheels car for him. some stranger that was barely old enough to know the difference from "poor" and "rich". the thought of the kind person who gave him that toy warmed his heart every time he thought of the little car he received. he mentally shook the memories away, returning at the task at hand. he was going to have to stand here the entire night, in the snowing cold, outside of a stone building emanating cold from the building. in forethought, that might explain the thickness of his uniform. he awkwardly pulled up his collar, bracing for the cold of the night. good thing the mask was shielding his face from the wind.
