"Are you //sure// you're okay, Zinnie?" the worried voice of her mate at her side caused her ears to press flat to her head. The purple and blue hued female turned her off-golden gaze on him, staring into his blue eyes.
"Yes, Cobalt. I'm fine!" Zinc tried not to snap at him, knowing he was just terribly worried for her well-being. It wasn't like she was sick or anything, though! She was just pregnant. She sighed, slowing down. "Why don't you go find something to do; some of your friend's to talk to, hmm? I'm gonna go find a nice rock in the sunshine to lay on." she told him, smiling sweetly. She really just wanted to be alone and away from her overly-worried mate.
Cobalt hesitated. He shifted his weight a bit but eventually did nod. "Alright, Zinnie. But... call for me if you need anything, okay?" he murmured, nuzzling her soft, curly cheek fur before turning to disappear into the undergrowth.
Zinc sighed, relaxing. She glanced at her slightly-swollen belly. She'd never wanted kits or a family, but Cobalt did. She was doing this only for him, really. She forced her paws forward again, padding into the warm light to lay down for a while.

Katrina hummed quietly through her mouth, her paws working to gently churn up the soil around her delicate flowers. They weren't really anything in particular, just a patch of wild flowers that grew near her den that she had claimed as her own. She took good care of them, watering them when it didn't rain and making sure the sun could always reach them when it was out. Her pelt of coppery browns shimmered in the sunlight as she worked, her blue eyes on her flowers and paws and ears relaxed against her head.

Amaya, her unhearing ears limps behind her head, studied the water at her paws. She wore the tiniest of smiles, her heart filled with ease. She was peace with herself, for the moment. The gentle ripple of the water as small minnows scurried and hurried under the water. It wasn't much water, true, but the rains were coming and soon this dried river bottom would be filled once again and the dead fields would be green once again. For a time anyway.
