Nellie abruptly stood up straight, poised for action. She felt her heart flutter inside her chest, but it wasn't because of a guy this time. Her palms became clammy and she wiped them on her jeans, shuffling her feet slightly. She brought her hand up to stroke her cheek and glanced at the group around her, seeing them all rise and become stiff.
When Morgan yelled, Nellie instantly followed her; it took awhile for the others to react though. Her shoes pounded against the searing concrete as she ran after her fellow friend, unsure about where they were heading. Finally, she managed to catch up to Morgan and clucthed her friend's shoulder firmly, hoping to calm her down.
“Come on, Morgan. Chill out.”
She pulled her friend into the nearest classroom; an empty, food room that had once been used, but now lay abandoned. The rest of the group followed and sat on the tables or leaned against the walls. The classroom was horribly dusty and covered in cobwebs, the noon light was filtered through tattered curtains with countless holes in them.
Nellie moved to the windows and drew the thick curtains after peering out the window for a few heartbeats. The wierd being hadn't had seemed to had followed them, but she wasn't taking any chances and locked the door too. She returned to her friends and leaned against the edge of the table, quickly running her fingers through her hair.
“Well, guys. I don't know what's going on, but I think some crazy stuff is about to happen from now on. Lets just keep quiet in here. I suggest to not open the curtains and keep the door locked; don't open it either.”

Morgan Quinn
Morgan fumbled about in cupboards, hoping to see something of use. Her lip slowly oozed blood, a thin line snaking its way down her chin. Her hand wiped it away instinctively, and she found herself wiping blood onto her clothes. "Does anyone know what -that- was?" Morgan opened her umpteenth draw and her hand pulled out the dark blade of a small kitchen knife. "And why hasn't the school gone into lockdown yet?"Morgan was not one for panicking, but to her, this situation called for it. She wielded the knife threateningly, assuming the thing had followed them. When she noticed it hadn't, she lowered the knife ton her waist. Pacing back and forth around the room, Morgan checked her phone, cursing quietly when she knew she had to call the police. Dialling frantically, she heard the line pick up. "Hello? Can you hear me? I need help, I'm at the high school and-" From the operators end, a scream pierced through the line and a different, deep and heavily breathing one replaced it and them the line went dead. Eyes wide, Morgan turned to Nellie and gulped.
Blake Darcy
At the prime moment, when then victims were unaware, the creatures smashed through the windows. Blake held up his arm to cover his face from the flying shards of glass, but his forearm got gashed violently. Some of the kids nearest the window got pulled through the glassless window, others ran for the door. The attackers piled in as a kid tried his hand at the door. Eventually, the door sprung open and kids and teachers alike went screaming down the hallway, alerting other classes. The next few minutes were a mix of school buses driving off to safety with the innocent on them and people trying to escape. Some people and buses alike succeeded, but many failed. A group of about 30 people, Blake and Casper inclusive, were left and their only chance was to hide. Blake tried calling emergency services, but he reached no one. They were alone, him and Casper, or at least that's what Blake thought. He snuck into the upper hallway and glanced out if a classroom window, Casper right beside him, and saw nothing- no sign of what had just taken place. He scanned for what felt like years when a sudden reflection of light caught his eye. Down in a rotting classroom, a girl was kneeling out of sight fom the window, but from Blake's angle he saw her. A blade of sorts reflected the sun perfectly into Blake's eye, and he was pretty sure the enemies wouldn't be able to see it. Just as he saw her, she locked eyes with him in desperation and Blake promised himself he'd help her and her comrades, whom he only saw their heads. "Casper, look. People."

[ Guess who has got their own Minecraft account? MY SWAG IS TOO NOISY FOR YOU ]
Nellie glanced upwards from studying her hands as Morgan talked; voice shaky with fright. She watched her friend open the draws and went over to her with a sudden curiosity. The glimmer of a blade caught her eye and Nellie quickly stepped backwards as the knife was raised, heart racing. She was afraid the pressure had gotten to her fellow friend, but calmed as it was lowered.
“I don't know, Morgan.”
Nellie talked quietly, her voice hoarse and throat raw from the sprint to the classroom. She then returned to lean against one of the kitchen benches, next to a tall girl she sat next to her math, not that they'd been in math for a couple of weeks now. Hearing Morgan speak again, her gaze snapped upwards. Moving forwards quickly, Nellie reached to snatch the phone from Morgan but then hesitated, wondering who would pick up.
She winced. Nellie heard the scream from the phone and she was standing a meter away, imagine how Morgan heard it. When her friend looked to her with frightened eyes, Nellie's expression melted into sympathy for her and gently took the phone off her.
“Let's just sit tight, aye?”
Casper was not expecting an assault on the classroom. He'd felt different that morning, like a sense that something was going to be wrong, but he had never imagined it of this scale. His skin prickled seconds before it happened and he quickly shot Blake a glance, who was sitting beside him, maybe oblivious to the feeling that he felt.
The windows burst inwards and sent shards of glass flying into the classroom, piercing through Casper's soft skin and leaving blood trails over the floor. He felt a tug on his shirt and looked to the windows. A pale arm reached through the broken glass and scratched at him, creating small bruises. More arms joined in and soon, Casper was halfway out the window, holding on to the pane of the window. The creatures below him looked super-human, jumping great heights to reach the upper windows and landing without a mark. They seemed to be resistant to pain and healed quickly; the skin that was cut from reaching through the windows was fixed in a matter of seconds.
Casper squirmed in their grasp, kicking and clawing at their limbs, while yelling loudly. This isn't how he wanted to end, falling out of a window and massacred by brainless fools. He tugged on the window support and kicked out madly, inching his way inside. He made it in and landed on the ground, the glass crunching into his back and creating more gashes.
Recovering quickly, Casper looked around and found Blake, crawling over to him slowly. They walked through a hallway, all the while the sound of the screams ringing in his ears. He kept himself in a stunned silence, obediently following Blake until he heard his friend spoke.
“What- of course there are people, Blake.”
He muttered sarcastically and peered through the window, eyes widening as he saw a girl. She carried a deadly looking knife and a steely expression hardened onto her face. To him, she looked like she was ready to kill in an instant. He backed away from the window, hitting the wall on the other side of the classroom. Casper's head throbbed from the attack on his classroom and he raised a hand to his head, wiping away dirt and dried blood from his face. He studied his hand, but he wasn't sure whose blood it was staining his skin.
“I don't think we should go to her, she looks dangerous and I don't want to deal with... Whatever they were.”

*so jealous!!!!*
Morgan Quinn
Morgan's heart rate lowered rapidly, until her usual, dominant and centered self came into action. She tucked the knife into her hightops , pulling the fabric of her jeans over the blade, hearing screaming and shattering glass around her. Nellie was right, sitting it out would be best. But just as she turned towards the window, she caught her breath. A boy with soft blackish hair was staring down at her from an upstairs window, and his cheek was badly gashed, even though it looked like he hadn't noticed it. She resisted saying anything to her fellow hiders and even Nellie because less people meant less to get attached to for nothing. She did, however point nonchalantly to him, just as a second boys head popped up. She pressed her back against the wall and slid down it forlornly, coming to terms with what had just happened. "This is like an apocolypse, but far worse than any scary movie or book. Its so real."
Blake Darcy
Blake didn't know what to make of Casper's comment, but he did known going down to the other 'survivors' was not on the agenda right now. "Isn't anybody wielding a weapon dangerous, and she doesn't even know what's happening I bet."Blake said, jut as he realised that neither did he and Casper known what was occurring. A droplet of crimson blood sat on his lip, and Blake spat to get the blood out of his mouth. "Am I bleeding, Clasp?"
*Its short, but #yelosweg I guess.*

[ WHY YOU REPLY SO FAST ]
Nellie nodded to Morgan and then turned around to address the others that lounged about over the benches and furniture. They looked oblivious to the real danger, it seemed only Morgan and Nellie had taken in the caution needed for their current situation. She sighed, rolled her eyes and hopped onto the bench next to a lanky boy, forcing a fake smile at him and the others.
“Well, now.”
Nellie narrowed her eyes at two girls that sat close to eachother, giggling and jabbing eachother with various cutlery they had pulled from the drawers underneath them. One of them jabbed the other with a fork, bringing on a loud squeal from the other girl. She pushed her off the bench and dropped the cutlery, the sound of it hitting the floor echoed through the silence which had fell upon them.
“Stop it you two! Calm down!”
She stood up instantly and covered the distance between them in two strides, hands up. Her voice sounded stern as she spoke, scolding them for their idiocy and childish behavior. She was only stern because she was worried and frightened if the creatures brought an onslaught of attack onto the classroom. She didn't want to think about the drastic measures that would have to be taken.
Casper moved to stand next to Blake again, taking a quick glance out of the window before turning to his friend. He was unsure of how to make out the their fate if they stayed here, or even went to the girl. They would probably get killed at some point, but unlike the fictional video games he played, they weren't wielded with an endless supply of weapons and certainly did not have the ability to respawn, sadly.
“I just- I don't want to die, Blake. I wanna survive whatever is going on.”
He said forlornly and kept his gaze from meeting Blake's, emotions welling up inside of him. Casper struggled to get himself back to normal and bit his lip, while turning to lean against the wall once again.
“You have a cut on your forehead.”

Morgan Quinn
Morgan scowled resentfully at the mischief going on around her and gave the creators of the noises a stone-cold glare. They avoided her eyes after, practically begging her to stop. The metal clang echoed through the room and every second it was poison to her ears. Morgan thought to herself , as pessimistic as it may be, what if the... things find us because of it. This room only really had one exit, and it was the only entrance as well. Apparently this room was not rule-obliging to school safety conducts. "I don't mean to be an absolute Scrooge, but guys, for once in your life, be mature. Or you'll get us all into trouble."
As soon as she said it, a creature walked passed and another followed it. "I smell them. They're close." said the first hoarsely. The second then replied coldly, "If they were smart, they'd have ran. No one is here. We got rid of all the humans in this place."
The first one, twirling a whip in his hand, tuned right towards where Morgan was standing, but she ducked in a nick of time. It lingered its gaze on the window, its red eyes glowing like as beacon in the darkness. His face was stunning, for a zombie or whatever he was, his jaw strong and chiselled, his hair a light shade of brown. His arms were muscular and tanned, and if it weren't for a scar across his right eye, as white as paper, he would have been the most beautiful young man Morgan had seen. His comrade was female and significantly shorter and had a gun in her hand. She was less attractive- her hair was bleached blonde and her eyebrows thin and sharp, making her looked surprised all the time. But she might've been attractive to males, but Morgan didn't find her as stunning as the boy. Eventually, he looked away, and Morgan released a sigh of relief and gestured for everyone to get and stay down. He brandished his whip confidently and sighed. "I just want to make sure before we move on. Are we leaving patrols around this town, Olivia?"
"Yes, Jameson, and some around the exits and entrances. We've successfully taken over this region today and I doubt the humans could outsmart us." The girl responded, tapping her foot impatiently. Morgan didn't believe that these two people weren't actually people. They even had names! What were they? The boy gave up, turning and walking away and the girl followed enthusiastically.
Blake Darcy
Blake groaned, gently touching his wound. Wiping away the blood, he turned to Casper. "Are you hurt, mate? Or are you alright. We could try the nurses office... Its just downstairs if you need it." Blake had read many books that had a similar plot line to this, and he knew that if they didn't do what they had to, and only what they had to, that they would be in for a lot more than they'd bargained for.

Nellie shot Morgan a quick smile for backing her up; she didn't want to seem like the grouch of their group. She turned to return back to where she was sitting, but faint voices caught her attention. Stopping in the middle of the room, she stared out the window and her eyes widened as she saw two people turn the corner onto the alley that ran beside the classroom. For a few heartbeats she just watched the two walk closer towards the classroom which she and the group took refuge in, and then sprung towards the draws.
She pulled out an assortment of knives, and when all the knives were taken, long, pronged forks and scissors were passed out. Only Morgan wasn't passed a weapon, for Nellie recalled the knife which she had held only a few minutes ago. She motioned to the others to stay quiet and swiftly ducked down; which the others did too. Nellie tensed and waited for the two to pass; at first she thought they were like her and their group, wandering and hoping to avoid the creatures but she realised they roamed confidently. No sane human would walk around peacefully in the midst of this catastrophe.
Nellie bobbed her head up quickly and caught a glance of the two; they both looked to be around the age of eighteen, older than herself. She almost gasped aloud at the sight of them, for being crazed freaks, they sure looked normal. The boy and girl, from which she heard were called Jameson and Olivia, stayed in their area for some time before leaving; when Nellie stood up again.
She stretched her arms above her head and placed the rusty meat cleaver down on the bench beside her with a soft clatter. Looking around, everyone seemed to have normal expressions on their faces; one of the girls was smiling, even! Nellie narrowed her eyes and bit her lip, restraining herself from explaining the dire situation they had all ended up in. She clenched her fists and leaned against the bench, her hair falling over her head as she rested her forehead against the cool metal.
“I just can't.”
Casper cocked his head and grunted in response to Blake's question. He checked himself for wounds, but only found dark, purple and blue bruises where he had almost been hauled out of the window by... whatever they were. They curled over his wrists and arms like obsidian stripes, then ending abruptly at his elbow. He shuddered at the memory recall of the event, catching glimspes of their lifeless eyes in his mind.
Raising a hand to his forehead, he groaned and blinked rapidly, but the pictures now burned before his eyes. He turned to Blake and then moved his gaze to window, catching sight of two figures walking down the path that wound between the art and food classes. A new strength and courage flowed through his veins and he looked to Blake once again.
“I'm fine, we'll go to the nurse's office to get a bandage for you and see if we can follow those two.”
Casper said quietly, pointing at the two figures that continued their way down the pale, concrete.

Blake laughed despite their current predicament, "And you didn't wasn't to rescue those girls for fear of danger! Looks like Superman has come out to play, huh, Casp?" Blake bit back his laughter and went over their supplies- nothing except a wallet and a couple of loose bits of paper Blake had in his jeans. He'd read books where the characters had created a marvellous trap using simple things, but paper-cutting things to death was not a traditional method. "You're right, though. First aid is important, but how are we meant to follow those things? They're super human, and we don't exactly have a weaponry at our disposal." The words stung on Blake's lips as much as his gash did. He might even need stitches, but if he was lucky, it would be a minor injury that bled- a lot. Ruffling his hair with his hands in thought, his eyes followed the creatures... The creatures who were deceiving alike a regular human.

Morgan shot a look at Nellie, who's complexion was ghostly white. A close call for all of them, but Morgan knew she had to get away from these unobservant people or she'd go insane. Then, her eye twinkled like it always did when she had an idea. "Nellie!" She whispered, her heart throbbing at the sight of Nellie losing her cool. Earlier, Morgan herself had fallen apart, and Nellie had been strong. Now it was Morgan's turn to step up to the plate. "I know it sounds totally insane, but I think we should follow them. At least for a little while." She bit her lip, waiting for her friend to respond. She gave the class a scan, and the teenagers surrounding her were either lighting a cigarette, lighting others leg hairs on fire or burning old tea towels. I just need to get out of here. Her mind pleaded. No matter how dangerous.

Nellie breathed onto the metal, it's cold surface swallowing up the warmth from her breath. She closed her eyes and let the darkness sooth her jumbled thoughts, all this stress, worry and fright; it was slowly driving her crazy. It didn't help that the other students that accompanied them were acting like as if they were five years old again, didn't they realise that they could get killed at any second?
She raised her head at Morgan's explanation of her name, looking at her with despair in her eyes. Hopelessness marked her expression, making her features dark and soft. Standing up, fully, Nellie cocked her head, taking the idea with a new-found spark in her eyes.
“That's not such a bad idea, we can eavesdrop on them; maybe find out where they come from or where they're heading. We may even find out something about what is going on.”
She smiled, a real and pure smile lit up her face as she moved over to the others. Then explaining to them what was going to happen; from the looks upon their faces, they didn't seem to care.
“If we're not back by nightfall, assume the worst.”
That gave Nellie and Morgan atleast four hours to follow the two.
For the first time since those horrid creatures burst through the windows of his science class, Casper smiled. He rubbed the back of his head and looked down, his cheeks turning to rose. Somehow, he couldn't help but let out a small chuckle and rose to his full stature again.
Blake had a fair point, without weapons they didn't stand a chance against those two, but Casper did not intend to become locked in combat. He rubbed his face briefly and then thought about a place where they could acquire weapons within a school. It sounded crazy, but at the moment, anything could be used as a weapon, even a ruler if they were truely desperate. An idea made itself clear inside his head, they'd go to then nurse's office, get Blake cleaned up and search for weapons in there; it might even be good to have some spare medical supplies.
“Hah, I guess so. We'll go to the nurse's office, look around; we may even need to find some food too.”

”Shall we?" Morgan grinned slyly and her eyes glinted with nervous excitement. She could feel the adrenaline pulsating wildly in her bloodstream, and she wanted to go before it ran out, leaving her scared and panicky. She gestured towards the locked doors, a clear sign she wanted Nellie to go before her. After all, Nellie had always been more alert than Morgan. She stared cautiously out of the window, checking the coast was clear, and scanned the view anxiously. She was sure if they'd waited any longer they'd lose them. Repressing the lump in her throat, Morgan decided she'd go first, her hand resting gently on the door handle, the other on the lock.

"I'm fine, I swear. I don't need any medical stuff right now. Lets just follow them, or we'll lose them." Blake wasn't in pain, perhaps a side affect of his adrenaline rate. But nevertheless, they needed to figure out what was happening and how they could fix it. Blake exited the class they stood in, finding a pocketknife in a students bag in the hallway. "Do you want it, or should I take it?' Blake offered the sad excuse for a weapon to Casper. At least its a weapon, and we might need it for survival if it comes to it... Blake countered his original thoughts about the knife and saw it as a lifeline they'd been given. His thoughts then drifted to the knife's owner. What had become of them? Whoever they were, were they alive?
