Still wearing an angry scowl across his face, Alex just shook his head sorely and began wringing his clothing out onto the carpet, simply to spite his older brother. "Dont call me that." He absolutely hated it when Ashton called him that, and of course he knew it. "And if you're so worried about the carpet, clean up the damn thing yourself." With a heavy sigh, Alex trudged over to the couch, flopping down into the soft cushions and shifting his gaze to the flickering television before him.

• He crossed his arms as Alexander squeezed the water from his shirt onto the carpet. "I will not clean that up, even if you grant me a free ticket out of hell." Ashton turned his back to the water before raiding the fridge - well, whatever they had left in it. After all, he was most certainly not going to put away the soaking wet groceries. Seeing nothing appealing, he closed the door again, cutting of the cool air that emerged from it.

• Reece stood from where he was sitting and took a step off of the porch. He was going to investigate - not like his parents or siblings cared anyway. They hated him, and everything about him. Sometimes he swore that they tried to kill him, always by taking to dangerous places, and encouraging him to get as close to the danger as possible.

The rain had caused a lot of fog to form, and Reece could barely see five feet ahead of himself. Whatever the creature was, the teenager was both curious but fearful. Usually he was stupid enough to go and see what something unknown was, even if it was against his own judgement. He listened carefully for any noises as he advanced.

Keeping his dark eyes fixed on the screen of the dim t.v., Alex smirked. "Well Im not cleaning it up, and mom and dad are in bed. So, its either you clean it up, or deal with a soaking wet carpet, your choice."

• "I can deal with a wet carpet." He began rummaging aroun din the cuboards for food, only seeing that gross, healthy cereal their parents bought in a ridiculous attempt to make them eat healthier. Ashton pulled out those cereal boxes and threw them away in the trash can, knowing they would just sit there for years otherwise. There was a loud and sudden bang outside, and Ashton jumped slightly in surprise.

• Reece suddenly jumped as something ran past him, probably whatever it was that he had seen earlier. He clenched his hands into fists, and followed after the creature. His curiousity was obviously getting the better of him at the moment, but he didn't care.

Suddenly, he ran into something hard. Reece looked up to see that it was the creature. The very sight of the beast made him mute. It was a wretched looking creature, like it was a patchwork of many others. The really scary thing was how muscled the creature was. It turned its head to look at the bothersome fly who had hit him, and Reece froze on the spot.

Alex jumped slightly, startled by the unexpected bang, and rose to his feet. 'What the hell..' Curiosity and confusion taking over his common sense, he walked tentatively over to the door and twisted the knob, the door creaking open. Quickly he shut his eyes as a blast of rain and wind slammed into him. Muttering under his breathe Nd spitting out water, he attempted squinting through the foggy downpour.

• Ashton followed after Alexander after debating for a moment. He was very cautious and wary, but wanted to know what the cause of a bang like that could be. He could hear a few more bangs, but they seemed farther away. Ashton could hear far-off screams, and then heard it. The sound of their parents screams reached his ears, and he froze.

• Reece felt the creature's large and clawed hand around his neck, quickly tightening the grip it had. He began to run out of oxygen, and his mouth opened in an attempt to get more air. The teenager twisted and turned, trying to free himself from this creature. Whatever it was, it was going to put an end to weak and scrawny boy. He smiled slightly as he was being strangled.

For a split second, he was almost positive he had heard a scream eminating from the upstairs bedrooms, his parents' specifically, but he was far to afraid to dare turn around. "...Ashton?..." he questioned with a nervous chuckle, feeling as though something else was behind his back, aside from his immature big brother of course. Then, out in the distance, he spotted it. It was a creature far too immense to be even compared to a human, let alone an animal.

• Ashton paused, seeming to debate for a moment. If they lingered around the house, whatever had just possibly... killed their parents may come down to finish them off as well. He didn't dare glance back at the stairs. There was dead silence in the house now. If they went upstairs, would they find their parents in a mangled heap?

He took a breath. "I'm running. Are you coming with me or not?" With that, his hand reached over to grab the bag of groceries that he had set on the counter earlier, and also got a nearby backpack. Ashton shoved the contents of the grocery bag into the backpack before zipping the backpack up.

• The teenager continued to allow the creature to strangle him. Once Reece was unconsious, the creature released him. He fell to the ground with a solid thump. He had claw marks in his neck from where the alien had punctured his flesh.

"Well I'm not staying here." Snatching his hoodie from the couch and yanking it on quickly, Dorrian exhaled a shaky sigh. "One problem though, there's something coming towards the house." he nodded out the door at a dark figure, slowly approaching the house, limping and stumbling, but at the same time moving with speed and perfection. A resounding crack of thunder foreshadowed a bright flash of lightening that illuminated the sky in blinding white electric light.

• He shouldered the backpack as the lightning illuminated the night sky. The creature approaching was big and bulky. It appeared to be clumsy, but if you looked closer, the thing was swift and seemingly smart. By the bulking muscles, one could easily tell it was powerful. So there was one behind them, and one in front of them. They were trapped, caged.

"Dammit." He muttered bitterly. "Where are the weapons when you need them?" Ashton could feel anger swell up inside him. It was unfair. How dare these creatures kill his parents and others, and then trap them like it was a game of cat and mice. He wished that he could destroy with a simple wave of his hand, engulf them in flame and watch them turn to ash.
