Lilith felt sick. Felicity's cheerful out look was so depressing. They'd been walking down the country road for hours and all Felicity had been doing was look at the good side of the situation.
'What about the bad side thought' Lilith
After what seemed a year of walking to Lilith, in the distance they saw a light. As they got closer they could see an all night restaurant. Once they reached it, Lilith told Felicity to wait out side. Then she went round back. A small window was in the wall. Lilith stood on her toes and looked through. A kitchen was on the other side and it was empty.
'For an all night restaurant, it's pretty quiet' thought Lilith.
She picked up a small rock and hit the window with it. It disintegrated with a smash that sounded deafening in the still night. She reached her hand inside and opened the catch. Pulling herself onto the sill she jumped through, landing on the floor without a sound. She scanned the kitchen. Running quietly to a cupboard she grabbed some bread, biscuits and a bottle of water. Then she padded softly to another door. Quietly she opened it and peered through. It was empty. She went to the till and after jamming a knife, it opened. Reaching her hand inside she pulled out a roll of notes. Then she went back to the window and climbed out. But someone was waiting for her...........

The old man yelled at him to come over.
"Oh I'm coming" muttered Daniel.
Then something made him falter slightly. How had the old man known they were angels? Had he seen them fall? Questions chased round his mind but the time for answers was later. He had other business to attend to.
He reached them in a matter of seconds and looked down at the shorter boy, glaring. But something in the other angels eyes made him think about what he was about to do. Daniel looked away. They were surrounded by fields but they all seemed devoid of life. From a distance he heard the old man say,
"You kids hungry?"
Daniel turned to snap at him that he was being ridiculous, angels don't get hungry, but then he realised. He was starving. Swallowing his rage at Wylde, he nodded. The old guy grinned toothily.
"Well come on then. I'll take you to my house."
Daniel looked round one last time for her, then followed him.
As they walked Daniel thought back to the Descent. He had the strangest feeling that God had not told them the whole truth about why they had been condemned. Shrugging the feeling off, his thoughts turned once more to Felicity.
'I must find her' he thought. 'Even if it takes me a life time, I will find her.'

“No. Stop-”
Cameron stopped short as Daniel jogged over to them, giving him a frosty glare. He then moved his gaze onto the old man with the same enraged eyes.
“You kids hungry?”
His hands balled into fists, obviously this elderly man knew they were angels, so wouldn't he know they didn't need to eat? But to Cameron's suprise, his stomach rumbled like a great logging truck. The strangest things were happening today. Maybe the Descent effected their immortality? Cameron tensed and gritted his teeth, spreading his ebony wings behind him. His wings were still there, maybe the Descent gave them human features, like getting hungry and tired. He sighed, this new information was going to make his journey on earth harder than he expected.
Cameron's gaze flickered over Daniel, he looked buffer than any other heavenly angel. God must've realised that his angels wouldn't stand a chance against the darker ones like him, he snorted in amusement.
“Well come on then. I'll take you to my house.”
He shoved his hands deeply into his pockets and started walking after the man. Cameron stopped and turned, watching Daniel look around. What was he looking for? Or... Who was he looking for? But why? His mind ached from all of the confusing thoughts and he groaned, turning around to follow the old man once again.
Cameron regretted this choice and slowed so that he was instep with Daniel. For awhile, silence sparked between the two and the air was thick with tension. It felt very awkward, considering the hate that they shared and that one was a heavenly angel and one was a dark angel. The two variations of angel didn't get along very well at all. Finally, Cameron sighed and spoke.
“Who were you looking for?”

From a distance, Felicity saw a sharp stream of light flickering through the darkness. She was about to point it out to Lilith, but stopped; obviously Lilith could see? As she got closer, the light source was a large advertisment sign that read, 'Betty's Palour, the all-night resteraunt that you can rely on.' This brought a small smile onto Felicity's lips, the resteraunt looked deserted! Totally reliable!
She had turned to ask what Lilith had said, but found her gone. Jogging closer to the resteraunt, Felicity saw her with a rock in hand, poised to throw. Her heart leaped into her throat, she was going to smash the window!
“What are you doing?”
But the sound of the smashing glass deafened her voice, Lilith would have never heard it. Panicked, Felicity hauled herself inside the window after contemplating whether it was a good idea or not.
“To hell with it.”
She had murmured and now found herself inside the dust resteraunt. Felicity looked around, checkered floors and walls had shadows cast all over them and the pots glistening in the moonlight. Looking around, an open door caught her gaze. She crept towards it, quiet enough to hear metal scraping against metal. What was Lilith doing? It was evident she had gotten some food, from the carelessly open cupboards and packets of chips strewn on the ground. A white, fabric shoulder bag brushed against Felicity's leg, drawing her attention away from the open door. From where her leg brushed it, a shiny, red smear bloomed over the fabric and it grew as she watched it. Looking down at her leg, Felicity saw a cut from where some glass had grazed her skin. She shivered in disgust and with shaky fingers, pulled out the glass and tossed it aside. She wrapped her leg with another fabric bag she found and picked up the original one, it would come in handy.
“Lilith?”
Felicity stood as Lilith entered back into the kitchen and rolled her shoulders, adjusting the bag.
“I found a bag. I don't have good feeling about this place; let's go.”
It seemed Lilith may have had the same idea, or was just plain ignoring her. Felicity followed her out the window, careful not to create further injuries for herself. She jumped down onto the ground and opened the shoulder bag, looking at Lilith,
“Dump the food in here. We'll take turns-”
She was cut short as her gaze rested on a stranger standing infront of them.

Felicity had followed her in.
'Ugh, she is so annoying' thought Lilith.
She jumped out the window and landed catlike and silent. Felicity landed seconds later with a thump. Rolling her eyes, Lilith turned to say something to her but just then she saw a stranger. Her heart leapt into her mouth.
'Drat' she thought 'Caught.'
But it wasn't Betty. It was a tall, dark haired man. He had a small goatee and wavy hair. Lilith recognised him from there last meeting. Then he had worn Black robes embroidered in silver skulls and a crown of bones. But now he had a black suit on and his head was bare. He was smiling a devilish smile.
'Well that's ironic' thought Lilith.
She knew why he was here. Long ago she had pledged her allegiance to him. But then, a century she had turned away from him.
"Well, well Lilith" he said creepily "Long time, no see."
"What do you want?" Lilith spat at him.
He smiled that sickening, creepy smile.
"Tut, Tut. Such temper." he said mockingly. "You know why I'm here Lilith."

They walked in silence for ten minutes. At the beginning of their walk Cameron had attempted conversation but Daniel had nothing to say to the person that had betrayed them. They old guy tried to talk to him but it was no good. Soon they reached the old mans house. It was of the road down a gravel path. It was surrounded by trees and covered in ivy. Looking down the dark road Daniel thought it looked abandoned. But the old man walked them up to the door, unlocked it and invited them in. Daniel entered.
"Go sit in the sitting room, while I put the kettle on."
Daniel smiled to himself. It was the sort of thing his mother used to say to guests. He went into the small lounge room
and started to sit down when something on the mantelpiece above the fire made him pause. It looked like an old black and white photo of.... him. In stunned amazement he walked over to the picture. Yes, it was him, in his uniform. He put the photo back on the shelf and looked at the others. A photo a woman caught his eye. It was his mother. She looked so happy and without a worry in the world. The one next to it was of the whole family. His mother sat with Amelia on her lap, him and Edward his brother either side of her with their father at the back. He hadn't seen the old mans face but he knew who he was........

Cameron burrowed his hands more deeply into his pockets, taken back by Daniel's un-cooperation. He fell out of step with him and lagged behind, deep in thought. Before he realised it, the old man's house loomed infront of him. The trees made it feel cramped and suffocating, towering over the three figures.
Cameron nodded and accepted the invitation, stepping inside the house after Daniel.
“Go sit in the sitting room, while I put the kettle on.”
He wandered into the room which the old man had motioned to. His gaze traveled around the room, it was obviously decorated in a later century, everything looked so... vintage. Cameron rolled his shoulders, the past events had tensed him up. Daniel, though, seemed to be inspecting the photo graphs lined ontop of the fireplace. The fire sent flickers of light dashing across the faded carpet and peeling wallpaper, the corners of the room were untouched. What didn't help was the heavy drapes that were forcably pulled across the window, blocking any source of natural light from entering.
A scraping noise caught Cameron's attention and he turned, moving over to stand next to Daniel. He raised his eyebrows as he saw what he was doing; very seriously inspecting the photo graphs. Gosh, they were just of some man in a pea-green army uniform. They were coated in a thick layer of dust too, which disgusted Cameron thoroughly. Taking Daniel's example, he picked up the first one which he inspected- the army officer. His striking blonde hair stood out and his sharp jaw-line looked dead familiar.
Cameron glanced at Daniel, then back the photo, then Daniel again. The similarity between the two was immpecable, it was perfect! Then it hit him like a freight train; hard and fast.
“Daniel, I know this may seem crazy that we just so happened to find your old exsistence and you probably want to speak to him-” Cameron pointed a finger into the room where the old man was bustling around; banging and clangs aroused from the kitchen. “-but we need to leave right now if you want this to end well. If you don't leave, you won't like it.”
He gave Daniel his threatening words.

Felicity adjusted her bandage, stealing a look at the stranger. He looked like a god, and sure acted like one too. The glimmer in his eyes looked menancing and the way he glanced at Felicity made her feel uncomfortable; but it was Lilith whom had captured his full attention. It was relieving and it made her feel sick, the newly kindled friendship that Felicity felt burned inside of her. It urged her to do something bold and wild, sadly, that was beyond her limits.
“Um, Lilith?” Felicity bore Lilith down with her gaze as she hissed the words at her. “Who's you friend?”
Being a new angel, the naive girl had no idea whom was standing infront of her. The grand posture and glittering gaze meant nothing. She was not in awe or terror; she was just rather intimidated.

Lilith stood slightly stunned by Felicity's question. It wasn't really what she'd said but the voice she'd said it in. It was not fearing or even scared only slightly intimidated. Lilith would have found her ignorance amusing in any other situation, but now it was annoying.
The man x-rayed Felicity with his eyes. Lilith shuddered. She knew what Felicity was going through. He was studying her past, her future and even the brief glimpses of her future.
When he'd finished he looked back at Lilith. She met his eyes with a defiant gaze. She had to look after Felicity. As a 'new' angel she didn't know this man. But Lilith remembered the Dark Days. The time when angels and demons fought in a battle of the Ages. God had given the Dark ones a choice and Lilith had turned away from the darkness.
But now he had come for her. He spread his arms.
"Well, will you come with me?"
Lilith stood there in disbelief. Hadn't he come to kill her?
"What?" she whispered.
He smiled.
"Surely you know. You are the dark one"

What the hell was Wylde talking about? Daniel had died alone in the dark and his last thought had been his family. But now he could finally found a connection to his past he was supposed to just turn away. He turned to tell him he was being stupid but then the old man walked in. Even in the flickering light he recognised the face, the slightly long nose, the small scar above his lip and the pale blue eyes. The old man smiled at Cameron then looked at Daniel. His mouth fell open.
"No" he whispered.
Daniel smiled at him. The two brothers looked at each other, one old enough to be the others grandfather and the one whose life had ended before it had even started. Then Daniel walked the two feet towards the old man and embraced his brother. Years of sadness and regret ended.
Suddenly there was a blinding flash and Edward was gone......

Cameron watch Daniel take this new information in, but by the look on his face, he wasn't going to take his advice. Maybe he would have to resort to forcing Daniel out of the house, even though it sounded like fun, it may end in the old man calling the cops. There was also a chance that Daniel, or even him, would get worked up so much that they might accidently reveal their true identity.
The old man returned to the main room where Cameron and Daniel were. Cameron was silently glaring into the back of Daniel's head, willing him to leave alone with him. Obviously, that wasn't going to happen when he saw the recognition that instantly melted onto the reunited brother's faces.
“Daniel; Stop!”
But it was too late.
He lurched forwards and grabbed Daniel's shoulder, trying to roughly pull him away from his living brother. The light which flared between the brothers licked at his hand, the heat quickly escalated and he took his hand away; resorting to watching. Cameron had warned Daniel but he hadn't listened- and now he was feeling the consequences.
One part of him felt bad for Daniel; he'd lost everything, and so young too. Now, though, he saw that Daniel was quite stupid, not listening to Cameron was definitely a bad idea and hopefully, Daniel saw that as he did too.
The flames flickered once more and disappeared, leaving Daniel by himself.

Felicity drew her eyes from Lilith and watched the brooding man's gaze flicker onto hers. The heat from his gaze shot through her body, paralzying her with the intensity of the pain. She opened her mouth to scream, but only a raspy hiss could escape her throat. What was horrific was that she could feel him searching through her, his expression changed with each memory of hers he saw, amusement and dissapointment were the dominant ones. Throughout the whole ordeal, Felicity's eyes were captured on his; she couldn't look away, couldn't stop her suffering.
Eventually, the now terrifying stranger looked away, only to slither his gaze onto Lilith's. It was dissappointing that Lilith hadn't started writhing in pain as Felicity did, but he wasn't mind-searching her. Or maybe just wasn't inflicting the pain as he did it. Anyways, the young heavenly angel wasn't experienced with dark men like this one, she wasn't from the darker side, like Lilith, and she hadn't had the chance to hear about it in her short time of exisiting.
Felicity cluched her head in her hands, doubled over as she tried to calm her shaking body and conclude that this man couldn't be trusted.
“Oh! My Lord!” She cursed, silently apoligising to her ruler and friend. Then a shockwave of pain came back and she groaned out. “Lilith...?”
From her position, Felicity could hear their conversation perfectly; loud and absolutely crystal clear. So when he asked Lilith to come with him, it was very suprising indeed. So suprising that she stood up straight and stumbled to her new friend's side in an instant, but not meeting the man's gaze. She was going to reply for Lilith, but she was extremely capable and replied for herself; just saying the same thing Felicity was going to. What he said in return was not was anyone was expecting; possibly not Lilith either.
How could Lilith be the Dark One? Not that Felicity was being offensive or anything- but it seemed highly unlikely, but likely at the same time. God had influenced them all that the Dark One was from the Hellish Lands, considering the name he'd chosen for it. Lilith was from that evil and dark place, but she wasn't currently apart of the gatherings which Lucifer held.
When Felicity heard the name Lucifer in her thoughts, everything clicked into place. This man infront of her was Lucifer! And that's why he came! He needs the Dark One to destroy Heaven, which was his main purpose in life.
The only thing that worried her right now is that he could mind read.

'Great' thought Lilith. 'The most evil being in the world is after me'.
She had no idea how it had even worked, but all she knew was, she was running from a man who never stopped hunting and that they had got of better than most, in the sense that they still had their souls and HE didn't seem to be running after them. She didn't bother checking on Felicity. Lilith hoped she was just behind her. If not, Lilith would be responsible for the death of an angel, a fellow heavenly being and, Lilith wondered how it had happened, a friend .

Daniel stood in shock. He had found a part of him he had lost, but yet again he was alone. He now realised that Wylde was alright. Despite being the Dark One, he wasn't to bad. But that wasn't important now. Now, what had happened to his brother. Was he dead? If he was, where would he go? With no heaven, his soul would go nowhere. Did his brother even belong in Heaven? The alternative was to horrible to think of. He turned to look at Wylde. He had been an angel longer and would surely have the answers. But could he trust the angel that had condemned them all....... ______________________________________________________________________________________________

Cameron wasn't sure if he should approach Daniel, afraid he might lash out or burst into tears. It must be a big shock, just having your brother burst into flames right in your arms. He felt sympathetic towards the lone brother and it over-ruled his common sense or what some might say, 'Natural Angel Instinct'. Reaching out to Daniel, he placed his fairly large hand onto his shoulder, unsure what to expect now.
“Daniel?” Cameron asked quietly, his voice hoarse. “Do you want to leave?”
His voice was softer than what it was before, the urgency had disappeared along with Daniel's brother. All he wanted to do was leave and try to find more angels, hopefully he could figure out what was going on.
His steely gaze travelled around the room, observing the damage. The charcoal-stained floor was obviously going to spark worry from a neighbour or passerby. That is, if he had anyone whom cared about him. It was harsh thinking, but probably reality. Edward knew about the angels, knew that they were angels. The old man was probably known as crazy or the 'town loon'.
It was a sad and cold life.

Felicity snapped out of her deep trance and flickered her eyes around, stiffening as they rested onto Lucifer. She squeezed her eyes shut, awaiting the dreadful flames which were to consume her body but nothing came. For a few remaining heartbeats, she kept her eyes shut, terrified of what was awaiting her when she would open them. What was strange, was that Felicity couldn't feel Lilith's presence anymore; had she run?
“Oh my... It seems your friend has left you all alone.”
When he spoke, she snapped her eyelids open and stared at Lucifer with wide eyes. She stood completely still, afraid that any movement from her might bring on some painful punishment. Her heart fluttered as she realised the crooked smile that crawled onto his lips when he watched her reaction.
Felicity watched Lucifer walk closer, his body swaying lesiurely towards her. She took a stumble backwards but felt herself stop, a force held her feet in place. Panicking, she whipped her gaze around, trying to find the source of her immobility. When he gave a dark chuckle, she immediately knew it was him. She sent a frosty glare in his direction and cringed as she tried to lift up her foot, feeling her leg stretch painfully.
Suddenly, Lucifer was right infront of her; she could feel the heat of his breath of her skin. It was wierd being this close to the Lord of the Underworld and she hadn't even been killed or disfigured in some way. If Felicity wasn't worried about her life right now, she would have thought about how lucky she was to be at such a young age to meet Lucifer; it was a scary thrill.
“Well, well, well. What am I going to do with you?”
“Uh. N-Nothing.”
He flung his head back and cackled loudly at her terrified stammering, sending a jolt of fear through her body. Why had she said that? It would have been better to go silent, than sounding like a coward. A voice cut through the dawn air, interrupting Lucifer's cackle and bringing both of the angel's attention.
“What you're going to do is leave her alone.”
The voice sounded more like a growl than human words, so deep it was obviously masculine. Lucifer hunched down and hissed, loosing his focus on immobilizing Felicity. She jumped away and foolishly scrambled towards the voice, running into something solid but suprisingly warm. She stared up and her brown gaze meet blood red eyes that cut through the darkness.
Absolutely frightened beyond wit, she bolted and headed towards the general direction of where she thought that Lilith had ran in. Felicity ran blindly through the open meadow, the thistles clawing at her legs bringing little pricks of pain jolting through her. Small bulbs of liquid seeped through her bandage and when she looked down to fix it, they reminded her of the voice's eyes; bright, illuminating... Deadly.
“Lilith!”
Felicity screamed out as she saw a blur of movement; the waving, ebony hair in the distance was the confirmation she needed.

Lilith came to an abrupt halt in the middle of the road. She span round the way she'd come. Her heart went cold. Felicity wasn't with her. She was alone in the middle of nowhere. She shivered. Ever since she could remember, she could sense others around her. And right now she could sense something. Lilith scanned the empty fields around her. Nothing. Then she heard it. Just behind her. A growl. Lilith turned. There, in the hedge on the side of the road, she could see a pair of red eyes gleaming. She stepped back and the eyes seemed to gleam brighter. Then she heard footsteps ands looked down the road. It was Felicity. Lilith breathed a sigh of relief then looked back at the hedge. The eyes had gone. Lilith didn't know if she felt better or not. It meant someone or something was hunting them.

Daniel was not sorry to leave the house. It felt cold and empty. When Edward had left, something had died with him. After he'd emptied the cupboards of food that was still edible he went outside. The house was dark. He was trying not to think about what had just happened. He knew if he did, he would melt down. His first thought was to survive and to find Felicity. That was now his drive. He didn't care what Wylde thought. He didn't care what anyone thought.

Cameron watched as Daniel wordlessly travelled around the house, emptying the cupboards of food. He followed behind like a loyal dog, as silent as the grieving brother was too. When Daniel left the house, Cameron ducked upstairs and walked down the wooden hall, the dull floorboards creaking with every step he took. Peaking into multiple rooms, he finally found the bathroom and walked in, opening the cupboards which were suspended above a yellowed sink. He grabbed some bandages, medical alcohol and panadol tablets before going into the next room. Now Cameron stood in the doorway of the master bedroom, presumably Edward's, and moved past the bed to a small wardrobe. Sliding the stiff door open easily, he rummaged around and pulled out a small backpack, grinning for the first time in quite awhile.
“I think we should head back down the driveway and turn a left; I thought I saw some lights.”
Without a second glance backwards, not even to check if Daniel responded, Cameron shoved his hands deeply into his pockets and started strolling down the gravel driveway. All he thought about was how everything could turn into this.

Felicity raised her hand, signalling for Lilith to stop. To her relief she did see her new-found friend cease from her wild spriting, but was now facing away from her. What was going on? She had left Felicity alone with that... Devil and now seemed to be totally wacked-out while staring into a nearby hedge. Felicity glanced to where Lilith was staring but only saw a gleam of red, which brought on some uncontrollable shivers, reminding her of the strange person that had saved her. Well, she thought he had saved her, maybe 'created a diversion' described of what he did better. But the main thing which she was thinking about was the uneasy feeling of those eyes, they seemed to drill into her soul; not as harsh as Lucifer's had been though. With all this unease inside of her, Felicity felt tempted to speak to Lilith about the unfortunate meeting, but decided against it, not wanting to worry her friend.
She shrugged off her stupid thoughts and shakily placed her delicate hand onto Lilith's shoulder, drilling her warm gaze into her.
“What happened there? You- You just left. I would've followed you, but I didn't realise you left until it was too late. Sorry.”
Felicity didn't know why she was apoligising.
