I meant the way I used her spoken parts, to clarify. x3 But I can not do that if you prefer, no prob.
And I was actually counting on that~

Also, I'm heading to my paternal grandma's place, so I'll be without a computer for a few hours.
And when I do get to her house, I probably won't be logging in too frequently.
I promise to get in at least two more replies, though. <3

Also, I'll be editing this post when I'm there. I'm about to run out the door. Haha
Edited! Sorry for the length. :/

    The young hybrid called out to him, drawing his attention back to her. He stopped along the dirt path, and turned around to face her as she asked him who he was. He suppressed a grumble, wishing it had been someone else who had tripped over him. He so disliked talking to the women who loved to gossip, especially one who may have seen his most personal secret. He had always managed to remain someone relatively boring, who hardly was the subject of gossip. Any form of attention was unwanted as far as he was concerned, because too much attention might reveal his in-human background. He debated whether or not he ought to introduce himself, and attempt to charm her into keeping their meeting quiet, or running as fast as he could away from her. He decided with the first, and took a calculated step towards her.

    He had already reached the dirt path that passed through the park, which was a fair ways away from the hybrid woman. He had know right away that she posed a risk for him, and had quickly moved as far away as he could. With reluctance, he walked with a pace somewhat slower than when he had walked to the park from the market, in no rush to speak to the young woman, beautiful though she may be. When finally he was within a few steps of her he sighed, and solidified his resolve to speak to her. Putting on as much charm as he could muster, he gave a friendly smile to the young woman and tipped his hat to her, "My name is Adisen M. Reynolds. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss... I'm sorry, but I don't believe I caught your name?"

    While surprised by his change in attitude, Aurora was courteous anyway. "Aurora Vince," she responded, polite but suspicious. "Mechanic and 'smith," she added softly, eyebrow arching. She studied his face. No... She hadn't seen him before. How odd. Glancing over him one more time, she pushed her hair out of her face and smiled. Talking and walking was a nice change to simply following him. "Yeah, haven't seen you around here... odd. But anyhow, it is nice to meet you. . Adisen " Unfortunately for the formal type, Aurora's politeness was cordial, but on a more flexible level.

    Rubbing the back of her neck, she grinned sheepishly. Rora could also be the queen of Awkward. She was horrible at formality and was more masculine rather than feminine. So obviously, thoughts ladies would have were far out of the brain, replaced by thoughts of getting a cog made for her crank or going for a hike. Rora was more of a practical person. Though, she had to admit his courtesyy and charm weren't bad. She just was not used to formal attire nor etiquette. The silence was getting to her; not because it was silence, but because it felt awkward to her.

    The expressions on the females face showed extreme curiosity; Adisen's worst nightmare may just be coming true, he may have met an individual who would reveal his secret without even realizing it. He sighed, noting the more... well, the less than ladylike disposition of the young woman before him. Judging by the way she had stumbled over him, as well as the way she was so upfront about her curiosity, she wasn't the kind of person who would respond well to flattery or flirting. Not that he was particularly gifted with either, but he would have tried had it the slightest possibility of working. But no, it wouldn't on this girl. He closed his eyes in frustration, and brought his right hand to his temple, where he rubbed a circular pattern into the skin.

    He stepped towards her, their eyes nearly at the same level, only then realizing that she was a bit taller than him. And, she had said she was a mechanic? Which meant she would probably be stronger than him, not to mention the extra talents her DNA would give her. He found himself lost in thought, musing on the possible traits the girl may have inherited with her DNA. He'd never really spoken to another hybrid, so he hadn't the slightest clue whether his physical abilities were normal or not. And by not, of course, he meant less than average. He knew full well that the DNA of a simple goat wasn't about to give him incredible abilities the likes of which no man had seen before. Oh, no. He was at the lesser end of the gene pool, both as a human and an animal. But no, his thoughts were wandering. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, and focus on the task at hand. The girl. He had to explain.

    His eyes locked back onto hers, and he began to speak in a tone that was relatively removed, "To be quite honest with you, Miss Vince, I'm immensely worried at the moment. Sweating bullets, to be precise. I assure you that I have lived in this town for the entirety of my life, though I had a knack for flying under the radar. As such, it's not surprising to me that there are citizens I have not been acquainted with, and I do prefer it that way. I was raised in a human home in which I was taught that having animal DNA was a terrible thing I ought to be ashamed of. As such, I've done my utmost to prevent anyone from discovering my secret, and find that today it's all been ruined. In a single afternoon my lifelong practice has been undone, and I've no clue what to do about it."

I apologize for the lateness of my reply. >.< I wasn't able to get to my computer as frequently as I had hoped. Hopefully this longer reply will help you forgive me. <3

    The girl merely stared at him. Mentally, she was resisting the urge to chuckle. "Well, Mister Reynolds - you have quite a problem. Or at least, you would, if I had plans on telling anyone," she told him with a grin. Aurora finally let a little laugh escape her lips. "I'm not a gossiper, I'm afraid. Never was one. You can find any other reason women stay away from me, but that's the key one." She folded her arms across her chest, arching a brunette eyebrow. "Haven't you heard of client confidentiality? Well, I figure, myself tripping over you must qualify for something. If you really think your heritage is worth disguising, I'm not going to blab."

    She looked him up and down. She was maybe about half an inch taller than this one, and he was fairer... Her skin was darker due to time in the sun working. Tugging on one floppy ear, she looked at him, both amused and... something else. She couldn't quite place the feeling. Her eyebrows arched again, and she tilted her head in a pondering way. Rora was one that could easily get caught up in her thoughts; lucky for her, her job allowed that much free time. Thinking and building were her two favorite things to do, and she got to do them together.

    Pushing herself back into the reality, she eyed him with a small smile. Quietly, she said, "It's hardly my business as it is. So, evidently, I've also got no business is telling anyone. My business is back at my shop, which is currently closed. Seeing as your predicament has nothing to do with the shop I currently need help for, that automatically means I have no reason to tell anyone." Her ears perked and she smiled with a slight wag of her tail. "I hope you understand my logic, at least somewhat. I wouldn't be concerned if I were you. The only thing I blab about would be whether or not my client needs an oil change." Another small chuckle was set free, and she glanced at the ground before back at him, now thoroughly amused. "So, you can save those bullets for later, kay?"

D'awww you're adorable. ^-^ As long as it's once in a couple days, I'm fine with it.

    The girl's announcement that she had no intentions of sharing his secret had Adisen sighing in relief. The eminent possibility of his few jobs turning in to absolutely none, as well as him being shunned by his acquaintances, was no longer a problem. In such a situation, he would normally have thanked her with the tip of his hat, or perhaps a full bow, and been on his way. But, this girl was a bit intriguing. She seemed to be amused by either his behavior in general, or his frankness, and her expression was a bit comical. The way her eyebrows raised and fell as she spoke had Adisen inwardly chuckling; such a vocal and animated woman was truly rare. Then again, she hadn't been raised as a lady, as few hybrids were raised by a real family, most were given as apprentices to a master. Adisen had been rare, he had been adopted by some relatives of the scientist who had developed him. Though it hadn't been a charmed life, he had been a lot better off than many of his kind.

    Adisen's eyes roamed over the woman as she spoke, again noting the difference in her looks versus most of the ladies he encountered. She wasn't masculine, though, just more sure of herself. Her chestnut hair was luchious, and fell down her frame. Her skin was not the pale tone of many of the villagers, but it certainly was not unattractive. She stood solidly, but her gaze was not harsh nor gentle. She was very unique, and she wasn't embarrassed by it. It was an incredible notion, one that Adisen had not ever considered. His heritage was always a setback, not a defining feature. Regardless, his musing were pointless for now. She was still speaking, and he really ought to be paying attention. She was tugging on one of her floppy dog ears, and arched her eyebrows, another expression crossing through her features.

    In a moment her expression changed yet again, her eyes focusing on him, and a small smile gracing her delicate lips. It was difficult for him to pay attention to her words, as his eyes had locked onto her lips. They stood out amongst her face. Unlike the majority of her features, aside from her hair, her lips were very delicate and feminine. He shook his head, clearing such thoughts. Such silly thoughts. This woman he had just met, and under less than friendly terms, there was no reason for him to be preoccupied with appearances. Determination written on his face, his eyebrows pulled together and a slight frown on his lips, he listened to Miss Vince as she talked about her shop. Hold on, she needed help? As in, another worker? Focusing on her eyes, he asked her, "When you say you need help for your shop, do you mean workers? As it is, I've been out of work for quite a while. I've been visiting Ralph, at the employment stall in the market, but he's only ever been able to find me some odd jobs that don't last long." He frowned, considering how much help he might be in a blacksmith shop, "Though, I'm not too sure just how much help I'd be." He gave a small chuckle, and raised his left arm to flex, making the point that he wasn't very strong.

I noticed the other day that you had said you were getting bored with your current RPS (I believe it was in your signature). I hope it wasn't this RP. D: If it was, I do apologize, and I'm happy to spice it up as best as I can.

No, not this one. My others are getting inactive. :P

    She listened to him, musing to herself. He was an odd one, with a thoughtful and wistful expression almost the whole time they were talking. "Yessir, business has been picking up lately..." she said softly, a grin twisting onto her lips as he explained his predicament. "I'd be happy to give you a tour. You don't need to be strong to work," she said softly, chuckling as he flexed his thin arms. She was tanned and hardly wispy like most women; she worked more in the sun. It was just natural for her to do so.

    Her tail wagged, her ears perking with interest as she surveyed him. Yes, he would be a help despite the fact he was not the brawny type. "Come on then, I'll show you around while it's closed." Giving him a small wink, she turned, beckoning for him to follow her down the path toward her shop. Well, now there was a chance she could take down the HELP WANTED sign on her garage door. A small smile adorned her lips as she led him. He was such an interesting fellow... Why he was so secretive, she had no idea, but she was telling the truth when she said she would not spill the beans to anyone. She was a woman of her word and intended to stay that way for all her life. She might be friendly, but she was certainly not a gossiper. Clearing her throat, she attempted to make some conversation.

    "So, Mister Adisen, if you're not much of a mechanic, are you good with books?" she offered, still grinning in a polite manner. "I need someone to do my accounting and numbers. I'm horrible with math, I'm afraid." She then added softly with a mischievous streak in her eye. "It'd be a permanent job," she added softly, her grin broadening and her tail wagging back and forth at a high speed. She was very pleased at the prospect of someone to do the math for her. She was never good with all the work expenses and such, as well as the taxes that helped fund the building government. Pushing hair out of her eyes, she blinked with another smile.

Re: { Firestone's Sucessor } || 1x1 with Rivkah

Postby Tano-kun » Sun Nov 25, 2012 3:26 pm

Oh, okay. ^.^ Glad to hear I'm not boring you~ <3

    She had hardly hesitated to accept him for the job. Though he couldn't help but think that that was bad business, he was a good worker, and put forth everything he had into his job. He had been taught to earn his money honestly, and with hard work, and he did just that. Aside from it being good morals, it was also a good way to stay under the radar. If his employers had no reason to complain about him, he'd never have a problem with gossip, and the resulting lack of prospective jobs. Adisen's face lit up as she chuckled, and seemed not to concern herself about his secretive nature. She seemed a free spirit, careless of the petty worries of one such as him. But he didn't mind; he even preferred it. It allowed him to relax a little, and just enjoy the company of someone who wouldn't judge him, regardless of his DNA.

    Miss Vince offered to show him around the workplace, as it was currently closed, so he could get a better idea of where and what he'd be doing. Happily he followed the sun-kissed female, seemingly a small puppy after it's master. They traveled along the dirt path in the park, neither taking notice of the blooming plants around them. Quickly they reached the pavement, and their shoes clicked against the stonework. Neither spoke for a while as they traveled, each lost in their own thoughts. What she mused over, he hadn't a clue, but he considered just how lucky he had been to have her trip over him. Had he been late to get to the market, or gone home after finding no work, this chance wouldn't have been upon him. He subconsciously began to whistle, a tune from his childhood, as his feelings were lifted at the prospect of money in his pocket, and fresh food on his plate.

    Adisen's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Miss Vince's voice asking him whether he was decent with accounting. He stopped in his tracks, somewhat surprised by this turn of events. She continued on to say that if he could do her accounting, he'd have a permanent job. A permanent job. The phrase rang in his head, taunting him with the possibility of stability. He shook his head, knowing that she was waiting for a reply. He had to consider, though. Accounting was a big responsibility. He was sure he could do it well enough, but if he had any mistakes, he'd surely bring some unwanted attention to himself. Even she, who seemed so understanding, would not tolerate an accountant who couldn't accurately keep the books. He struggled with himself, doubting his abilities. Finally, with lips pursed, he replied, "I'd probably be more use to you as an accountant. I've little practice aside from keeping my own books, and helping with my fathers, but I should be able to do a well enough job."

Naw ;3;

    She listened to him, floppy ears now upright as both sets took in what he had to say. "Decent is good enough for me. I'm hopeless. As long as you can keep silly me straight, you're good to go." She laughed at the thought, before adding fondly, "I'm a neat freak. OCD. Comes from being mixed with a herding dog. I need organization. So, obviously, it drives me insane that I can't keep my math straight and work out expenses for the shop." She raised an eyebrow, a bit disapproving with herself. She honestly knew she was crazy, there was no denying she was nothing like the proper ladies throughout town. Some thought she wasn't healthy, period. But she just had a large imagination for a lady.

    She was jolted from her wandering thoughts as she reached the shop. She tapped in a key code into the key pad set on the wall next to her garage door. The light flashed green and the garage door opened by itself. "I built this place. I live about it. Crazy, but I like getting my own work done. Allows me to put in my own inventions." she smiled, walking into the shop. It smelled of axle grease and wooden varnish, but it was spick and span. Not a thing was out of place; not a tool was lying around. She grinned cheerfully at Adisen, before saying softly, "Come on into the office."

    She led him into a neat office, with two desks, a small combination-locked chest that would collect her fees each day temporarily, a computer, and a couple bins of newly made cogs and gears. She pulled open a filing cabinet in the corner and pulled out some files. "Like I said, it's the only thing that's a mess. If you're decent at accounting, hopefully you can sort me out," she said softly, handing him the accounting book with an embarrassed smile. Her ears went down, a bit worried of what he would think. She was used to being organized. This drove her mad.

Re: { Firestone's Sucessor } || 1x1 with Rivkah

    He raised an eyebrow as the young woman mentioned her organization habits. It wasn't very common for a mechanic to be organized. A female, sure, he could see that. But she was more mechanic than lady, of that he was sure. Adisen chuckled when Miss Vince began to chatter on about how much it bothered her that she couldn't keep her accounts straight. Her OCD habits must be rather chaotic in regards to math. Adisen himself was a bit of a neat freak, and he always made a point of keeping himself well groomed, but such things as math, though important to be sure, did not normally affect him the way they seemed the affect the hybrid mechanic.

    Her ramblings stopped, however, as well as her feet, when the pair reached what Adisen assumed to be her shop. She walked over to a small keypad just next to the garage door, her feet tapping across the cobblestone path, and she swiftly entered the correct code. The small light on the pad flashed green, and the door shuttered open. He followed her inside, eyes dotting from one place to the next, enthralled by the feeling of the place. It had a quaintness to it, to be sure, but it reeked of mechanical liquids and grease, and was littered with bits and bobs he hadn't a clue of the purpose for. It was organized, but Adisen still had no idea what each little thing did, and so found it all to be a confusing mess. As Miss Vince walked farther into the store, she began to explain that she had built the entire place herself, priding herself on it's ingenuity, and being able to change whatever she felt needed changing.

    His ears only half listening, as his eyes and nose were much too preoccupied, Adisen hardly heard the young woman invite him into her office. With a start, he looked at her grinning face, and gave a simple nod, "Thanks." The office she led him to was a nice size, not exactly spacious, but not small. Two wooden desks were the first thing Adisen noticed, followed by the computer sitting on one. His eyes followed her as she walked over to a filing cabinet, where she pulled out a few files, allegedly for him to look at. Taking her cue, he walked towards her, and accepted the files without hesitation. He listened to her concern, but flipped open the files to take a look at what exactly he'd be doing. He rummaged through the pages, looking at the few calculations held within, frowning at the incorrect numbers. Looking back up at Miss Vince, Adisen gave a small frown, "These may take a while. It looks like I'll have to go as far back as you'd got papers for." He looked back down at the files, flipping through a few more papers. A phrase caught his eye, and he tapped it with his left index finger. Looking up at her, he asked, "How many employees do you have?"

I am SO sorry for my late reply. I kept looking over you post, but I just couldn't think of anything to reply. >.< Hopefully this will do.

    The hybrid grinned with embarrassment as he commented on her poor math. "Take your time. Most sane people wouldn't want to organize my atrocious numbers for me..." She cleared her throat, blushing, and turned slightly to glance out the window and pull the blinds open. At his question, she paused, thoughtful. "It's just been me so far. I hire a few temps when needed, but I mostly do it all on my own," she admitted quietly, looking slightly sheepish. Her ears were quirked in a curious manner, and she then looked away awkwardly. Most people didn't have an interest in mechanics; here she fixed things. Everyone else was just interested in building, building , building. But everything needed fixing at some point or another.

    She coughed lightly, tail down in a semi-wag like a dog saying Did I do something wrong? She managed a small smile, before she blinked, studying him. After another moment of silence, she asked hopefully, "So, do you want the job?" Her eyebrows then quirked, and she added quickly, "The pay'll be better than minimum wage, I assure you. Are you up to organizing my... er... mismatched numbers?" Her eyes were wide and hopeful, almost begging him mentally to say yes. She really needed someone around to help.

    There was also the fact she got lonely quite easily. It was a dog thing. She was very friendly, but nobody seemed interested in a lady with no proper etiquette. Certainly not someone who would rather be smelting iron than dancing or going to parties. She chewed on the inside of her cheek at the thought, hoping he wasn't biased like that. He was certainly a gentlemen in many ways, but Aurora, while clean and tidy, was a more practical sort.

Don't worry ^-^
