Born To Be A Winner; Pokemon RP (1x1 with Swiftalu)

Joanna turned on her heels quickly, an Oddish in her hands, and gave a warm smile. "Ah, you must be Andrea. Welcome." she greeted happily, walking foreward. Heels clacking lightly on the floor, long black hair swaying back and forth down her back. She looked very professional, clipboard in her free hand. "Come in come in.." Joanna added, nodding to another of the technicians in the lab. They rushed off to the back, where the pokemon were held.

Joanna stopped infront of Andrea. "Professor Elm had some business to attend to in the city today, but he left me in charge. Apparantly, running the labratory runs in the family." she chuckled. "I am Joanna Elm, his daughter. He told me to help you get your pokemon. He figured he found the perfect one for you." she informed, leading Andrea by the arm to the back of the labratory.

Rows upon rows of pokeballs lined the walls in the back room. There had to be hundreds of pokemon in here. Joanna set her pokemon down at her feet, and took a glass top of of a certain pokeball. "Here, take a look." Joanna said, offering the pokeball to Andrea.

[Swiftalu]

Andrea blinked some and reached her hand for the Pokeball. She grasped it and took it slowly from Joanna, and cupped her hands around it, smiling at it. She quickly switched it to one hand and threw it in the air, the Pokeball opening as a swirling light came out, forming the shape of a Pokemon until it disappeared. In front of her stood a green Chikorita with its sweet smelling leaf on its head. She smiled at the Chikorita and picked it up happily."Thank you!" Andrea said, looking at her precious Pokemon. She was happy to finally have one, especially one of her favorite starter Pokemon in Johto.

She put the Chikorita down, seeing the happy Chikorita smiling at her. She smiled back and crouched down, stroking it softly on its back as the Chikorita cried out happily, yet silently. She got up and smiled at Joanna "I guess I better be off" Andrea said softly, looking at her new Pokemon.

[Pengu.]

Joanna nodded. "You had best be off." she laughed, picking up her own pokemon again. "You are the second one this morning I set off on their own. Quite an exciting day.." Joanna added, guiding Andrea towards the door. "Hope you find what you are looking for out there. Be careful."

Gale set his sleepy pokemon down at his feet, staring down in confusion. "I am tired too...but at least I am moving.." Gale muttered, watching Cyndaquil look up at him with a confused expression. Cynda..Quil? Gale furrowed his eyebrows. "Come onnnnnn.." he begged, pushing the pokemon along. Cyndaquil pouted, reluctantly getting up. It yawned, bursting into sneezes. Its back flared up with fire, right where Gale's hands were. Gale yelped, yanking his hands off, blowing on them to try and dim the pain. "Haha...real funny..." he grinned, and Cyndaquil just smiled. They walked along side by side, heading off to begin their training. Gale was eager to start.

Andre nodded and picked up the Chikorita, setting it on her shoulders (remind you of anyone? XD) and nodded at Joanna. She put her hand on the door and opened it again, this time a little faster. "I'll see you later, bye!" Andrea said swiftly and rushed out, closing the door silently.

She grinned at her Chikorita and sighed happily. "Look like your my new partner!" Andrea said, tickling the Chikorita's cheek as it giggled and smiled. Andrea then spotted a few traveling maps and walked over, picking one up where it said "Take here" She looked at it, seeing all the towns and cities in Johto, smiling some. "I'll become champion some day!" Andrea breathed, folding her map up and stashing it away. She knew where she wanted to go to first, into the forest to catch wild Pokemon and train them! "Hold on tight!" she said to the Chikorita. "Chiko Chiko!" the Chikorita said happily. Andrea raced off in the direction where she could catch wild Pokemon and train her own.

She finally reached the forest and looked up at the trees looking over her. She looked at the tall grass on the ground, seing some movements in it and even some shadows of wild Pokemon common to catch around here. She nodded to her Chikorita and looked at the grass, waiting patiently for the right chance to strike. Hopefully she could catch this Pokemon she wanted for her team, it would be long but worth it. Andrea studied the shadows carefully.

[Pengu.]

Gale walked along with his new partner, surveying the area. He knew much of it by the back of his hand; William had often taken him out to travel when he was a child. Gale saw pokemon that were uninteresting to him. Weak, in his mind, but still good. Though, Gale wanted a strong team. Unusual pokemon that no one would want. Cyndaquil could have cared less, he was just sniffing around, picking berries to snack on as they walked.

Cyndaquil was suffing berries in his mouth, totally excited to have food. One slipped from his grasp, bouncing off into the trees. Cynda!!! he squeeled, bounding off after it. Gale turned, racing after him. "Wait...." he murmured in annoyance, catching up quickly. He bent down next to his pokemon, finding his lost berry. "Here you big goof.." he laughed. Rustlerustle Eevee?

Gale furrowed his eyebrows. "That cant be..." he said, walking to the sound in interest.

[Swiftalu]

Andrea blinked when she saw a shadow of the Pokemon she wanted. She smiled and put Chikorita down. "Go Chikorita!" Andrea called out to her Pokemon, pointing at the shadow. The Chirkorita nodded instantly and leaped in front of the Pokemon, which was an Eevee. Andrea saw the Eevee turn around after nibbling on a Pecha berry. The Eevee dropped the berry instantly and growled at the Chikorita. "Chiko! Chiko!" the Chikorita said sternly at the wild Eevee.

Andrea smiled and called out a move to her Pokemon "Use Razor Leaf Chikorita!" Andrea called to her green Pokemon. The Chikorita nodded and waved her sweet smelling leaf around, shooting out a quick boomerang leaves from her leaf. The aim was on target quite perfectly, one of the Razor Leaves hitting the Eevee when it dodged one. She saw the Eevee shook it off as it looked more mad then before. Andrea prepared for a move Eevee was going to hit at her Chikorita. "Stay on guard Chikorita! It can shoot a move at anytime!" Andrea said to her Chikorita. The Chikorita nodded and watched the Eevee very closely.

[Pengu.]

Gale followed his pokemon, who had apparantly come to his senses and was now bounding ahead excitedly. Cyndaquil bounded through the bushes, tumbling over in a firery heap of smoke. Gale shook his head, running his hand through his shaggy black hair. "Well....Take what you can get.." he sighed, stepping through as well.

Cyndaquil sneezed, looking around. His eyes widened, looking up into the face of a pokemon he didnt recognize. An Eevee stared down at him, eyes full of fury, scratching him to get away so it could go after its real target. Cynda... he said slowly, backing up to Gale's feet. The pokemon's eyes turned hard, not liking to be scared or pushed around. Cyndaquil looked over to the trainer fighting this pokemon, and to the Chikorita. If that Eevee wasnt already battling, he would have taken it on.

Gale's eyes widened, looking at the battle before him. The girl from earlier, who came into town. Hmph. Small world. Gale raised an eyebrow, looking onto the battle with interest. He was curious to see how good she was..

[Swiftalu]

Andrea saw the Eevee turn back around when she saw that smoke. She watched as it used Sand Attack on her Chikorita. "Dodge it!" Andrea yelled to her Chikorita, instantly seeing her Chikorita dodge the cloud of sand, making it harder to see. Andrea heard a cry from her pokemon. "Chikoo!!!" It cried out, being hit by Eevee's Tackle. Andrea muttered something under her breath and then looked at her Chikorita. "Chikorita, quickly use Growl!" Andrea shouted to her Pokemon, this way she could lower Eevee's attack stat.

The Chikorita nodded and cried out an unusual sound "Ri! Chikori!" she heard her Chikorita growl at the Eevee, hearing a really faint whimper within the dust cloud. She smiled but then her smile disappeared when the Eevee used Tail Whip on her Chikorita, lowering her Pokemons defense stat. She clenched her fists, about to be in rage. "Chikorita! Use Poison Powder!" (Surprised right? I was myself XD) The Chikorita nodded and let a flurry of purple spheres aim at the Eevee, shooting them off. Eevee dodged most of the spheres, but were hit by a few, making the Eevee have a poisoned stat.

Andrea smiled, the Pokemon weak enough to catch now. She pulled out a Pokeball from her bag and then aimed it at the Eevee. "Go! Pokeball!" Andrea said, giving a spin off on her Pokeball as it hit the Eevee, seeing a red light suck the Eevee in. The Pokeball fell to the ground and shook and Andrea watched closely.

[Pengu.]

Gale looked from the trainer to the pokeball on the ground; its center glowing as it bobbed back and forth on the ground. One....two.... Gale's eyes never left it, waiting to see, and Cyndaquil cocked his head in confusion. Three. The pokeball's light dimmed, and it lay there in silence. Motionless. Gale gave a 'humph' sound, pleasantly suprised. First try, it seemed, and a success. Quite luck. "Nice..." he said simply, to no one in particular, suddenly feeling the awkwardness of the situation. He was a stranger watching this girl catch a pokemon. Creepy, no?

Cyndaquil hobbled over, curious as to what this object was. He poked the pokeball, suddenly interested. Cynda? he muttered. Thinking it was edible, Cyndaquil began to nom at the pokeball. Gale's eyes widened, obviously embarassed. "Oh goodness..." he sighed, placing his head in his hands.

[Swiftalu]

Andrea stared at the Cyndaquil. "What the...?" Andrea looked curiously as the Cyndaquil put its mouth around her caught Pokemon. Andrea sighed and walked over to the Cyndaquil, picking it up. She gently took the Pokeball out of its mouth and set it down. "Is this a wild Pokemon?" Andrea asked herself quietly and shook her head. "No...starter Pokemon can't be found in the wild..." Andrea said, looking at the Cyndaquil below her.

Chikorita looked at the Cyndaquil curiously and extended one of her vines, poking it a little. "Chiko?" Chikorita said, a bit confused why a Trainer's Pokemon was out here like this. She quickly withdrew her vines so the Cyndaquil wouldn't hurt it and Chikorita muttered a bit. Chikorita then sat down beside Andrea, still watching the Cyndaquil.

Andrea looked at her Chikorita and picked her up, setting the Chikorita on her shoulders, the quite curious Chikorita growling at the Cyndaquil. "Now Now..." Andrea said to her Chikorita, instantly making it stop growling. Andrea looked around from where she was standing, seeing if there was a Trainer around here. She then saw a boy having his hands over his face and Andrea's clocks ticked, didn't she see that boy in town? She couldn't seem to remember since everyone looked the same to her in that town.
