Large beings resembling Earth-born canines have begun to wander about in the wilds all over the world. Most are around the height of Great Danes; all have thick fur, tufted manes that lead into their tails, galaxies that trail from their paws, stars adorning their bodies on strings, and the ability to fly. Some have taken to living with humans, but many are still wandering on their own wandering throughout the world - often looking for some companionship. Two such Starries fall into the latter category and it seems as though they were meant to meet.

A lone starry lay down on the soft grass beneath him. A chilling wind blew across what seemed to be a peaceful backdrop, but the thick fur that formed his grey and brown coat did not let it pierce his heart. A flickering spark flashed in his golden brown eyes as he scanned the horizon to find movement. It seemed the boring day may have just gotten sunnier.

Humming softly to herself, a sleek Starry wound her way aimlessly through a field of lush grasses and flowers. The emerald and jade fronds brushed up against her silvery-white pelt, both complimenting and clashing against her darker markings. Leviane's long tail swayed slowly as it trailed behind her, the long feathering on it brushing the tops of the grass as it swung back and forth. As a wind picked up, rippling the grass like waves in the ocean, an unfamiliar scent filled the female's nostrils - another Starry. Lilac eyes scanned the surrounding field as she came to a stop, before she finally spotted a dark spot resting on a rise - earth that was higher than the rest of the field, but wasn't quite a hill. She couldn't quite make out what he looked like beyond that of his gray striped mane.

Ears pricked in curiosity, she loped over to where the other Starry was lounging. "Well hello there," she greeted warmly. This was considered neutral territory - an unspoken rule that no Starry could be territorial over the unclaimed land. So Leviane wasn't concerned with dealing with an aggressive male as she stood calmly before him. The wind had dwindled down to a light breeze, bringing with it the promise of cooler weather as Autumn began to take over the hot Summer weather.

Zane's ear's pricked at the noise, and he looked up from where his eyes had once settled. For a short while he studied the calm female, taking in the delightful colours of her pelt and the depths of her soft eyes. He didn't really know what to say. It was customary to fight for your own territory, he thought, until he realised he was no longer in his. Whatever was in his mind had made him wonder into unknown land, and he hoped he wasn't in the other Starry's territory.

"Um, hello?" he barked, smiling to show he was no threat. A single leaf flustered past his face and landed on his nose. [b]"Am I allowed to be here? I kind of got lost..." he laughed cautiously, shaking the leaf of his face delicately.

Leviane cocked her head slightly to the right, as she noticed the male's gaze grow distant. She knew he'd heard her, as he had made eye contact briefly with her. And yet, he wasn't moving or responding to her greeting. Her tail swished once behind her as she tried to figure out the naturally colored male, thinking he wasn't paying attention to her. When he spoke up, her lilac eyes snapped back to his face in time to catch his smile. A soft laugh escaped her as he asked her his question, while a leaf clung to his muzzle.

"Yes," she smiled in return. "This field and a small portion of the surrounding forest is a safe zone. It is for any travelers without territory or for those who wish to take a break from their unchanging territories." As she spoke, Leviane stepped back a couple paces, with her tail sweeping behind her. She took in the lush field and the rich tree canopy before glancing back at the male. "Where did you come from? I may be able to point you in the right direction," she smiled softly at the male.

Zane nodded and laughed at himself, listening to every syllable the female said. He had to think for a bit about what she had said before it made sense to him. "Oh, right, I think I know where I am..." he barked unconvincingly, hoping to sound strong and clever, when really he had pretty much forgotten why he was there. "So, what's your name then?" he asked, steering of topic.

Leviane shrugged nonchalantly as the male denied her help, not really believing him but unwilling to call him out on it. She debated briefly if she wanted to sit or remain standing before she finally sat down gracefully. Her long tail curled some around her paws as she settled into a comfortable position. "Changing subjects, hmm?" She commented with sidelong glance at the male. "Anyway, I'm Leviane. And yours is?" She spoke it as if sighing, her tone laid back and carefree. If the male didn't want to talk of him being in an unfamiliar area - and most likely lost for that matter - then she'd play his game and go along with it. She hadn't been around other Starries for some time, so she was itching for some comfort. The fact that it was a male only made it that much more fun if she could encourage him to open up some.
