1x1 Summer Romance with Bite

Slayne studied her for a long few moments before turning toward the lake. "Come. We will swim until lunch time, to stretch your muscles and help with your lung strength so you are not panting by the time we are finished with your first lesson." The vampire began a steady stride for the water, peeling off his shirt, revealing the perfect body-- of course. Another snare for prey. His arms were long and lean, his muscles not bulky but not weak either. His shoulders were broad, his skin pale. The girls near the water nearly fainted when they saw him, shooting evil glares at Victoria. Next to go were his jeans and sneakers, showing off the black trunks he had on underneath. He could make an angel cry.

Victoria watched him for a second, a little stunned as she just stared for a couple seconds. "Um...Kay. But...I didn't.. Exactly. Um...I'll just go back and...Put mine on." She started walking backwards, still watching him and nodding. "I'll do that." She concluded before turning made her way back to the cabin and pulling off her other clothes before pulling on a white one piece bathing suit with blue patterns across the front and back. She leaned her forehead against the wall with a sigh and Grabbed a towel before walking back out.

The idea of swimming wasn't exactly Her favorite thing in the world, but she supposed that it would be good and being with him was pretty good deal as well. "Sorry about that." She said, again staring at him once she got back to the lake. He did truly take her breathe away. "Um...Hey. So...Swimming, right?"

Slayne turned before he reached the water. His eyebrows lifted, and his face drew a blank for a moment. She was..stunning to say the least. He found himself imagining the two of them alone..the water around them..no one else. He imagined a feral hunger beyond bloodlust, one that hungered strictly for her. He pictured no bathing suits of course too...

"Indeed. You can swim as freely as you'd like. Spin around, do hand-stands. Whatever it is you humans do in the water," the vampire said as he positioned himself just right and dove into the clear blue liquid, vanishing nearly to the bottom.

( When I read that part I almost laughed. xD The last sentence in paragraph one. xD It's like...A typical guy thing. )

Victoria nodded and just kind of lowered herself into the water, smiling at his human comment. "Ya, fine." She said. She looked up at the sun, only for a minute, just looking down into the water and wondering when he would come back up. She sighed a little and started to propel herself through the water, after a whil just floating on her back and looking up at the sky with careful eyes. She closed her eyes for a second to just thunk.

This reminded her of the pool in the summer. Each and every day going to her grandmothers house and swimming in their large pool. Afterwards coming out and having dinner. She loved her grandmother and definitely missed having her around.

Slayne resurfaced a few minutes later, appearing at her side. His hair was plastered to his head from the water, and the droplets on his skin dripped off slowly. He turned to his new human friend and gave her a light smile. "The sun is beautiful on you." He whispered, his voice low for only her ears. "It turns your hair to fire." Again..images flashed in his mind. He would have to stop fantasizing.. It was unhealthy.

"After lunch, I will take you to my cabin. We can practice there alone. No one to watch. I know how self-concious some people can be." He hadn't meant it in any sort of sexual way.. Simply practice. But something inside his undead heart flared. Desire for companionship. Eternity was lonely when you had no one to share it with. But he wouldn't turn her. Never would he do that. Even if she asked.

Victoria jumped a little as he came up and she smiled a little at him. "Um...Thanks." She said, nodding a little. "You um...Usually look good." She whispered, brushing back sone wet hair behind her ears. "And sure...I would like that." She said, looking down at the water as it enveloped her from her neck down. "So did you take dance classes or...Did you just pick up a lot over the years?" She asked, smiling lightly. To be alive for over 200 years. Living two lifestyles. She wondered how it felt. "So that also means you were alive when the Beatles were formed and the Rolling Stones?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.

"I took lessons when I was human, and my experience has grown over the years. When you can live forever, you have to find some way to pass your time." Slayne answered, giving her an answering smile. "And yes, I was. In fact I was at their first concerts." He swam to the bank and walked out of the water as the lunch bell dinged. "You must be hungry. I kept you from breakfast." He chuckled at his carelessness.

Victoria hadn't noticed that, to consumed in everything Slayne to notice how hungry she had actually been. She pulled herself out of the water and nodded, bending down to pick up her towel as she wrapped it around her shoulders. "It's okay." She said with a small grin. "I wish I was there. I would've loved to see there first concerts." She said, ringing out her hair and tossing it over her shoulder. "But doesn't it get boring to live forever?" She asked.
