QUICKCLAN
cyanstar | tom, leader, 82m, tagged: foxstar
indentcyanstar dipped his head bashfully at foxstar's words. he had been quickclan's leader for many seasons, and they had weathered many storms together. but it wasn't something he had been able to do on his own. his friends and allies propped him up more than once, and he was beyond grateful for the other leaders who helped steer him in the right direction. he hoped that he could be that presence for younger leaders as well. "i know that you'll help chaosclan thrive," he said in return at last.
indent"it's what we have to do, for our families and for everyone who needs someone to guide the way," he said, thankful for the soldarity foxstar offered him. he smiled. "you'll have to send koalafoot my regards, i'll be keeping you in my thoughts, foxstar. i can't wait to hear about them the next time our paths cross." and cyanstar felt content that they would at future gatherings. he hadn't heard of chaosclan before this evening, but cyanstar knew that he could leave this gathering with the knowledge that he had made a friend in the other leader. foxstar reminded him a bit of himself when he was her age, and he truly wished her and her clan all the best.
lycheewings | tom, medicine cat, 24m, tagged: thistletuft
indent"it's possible," lycheewings said, even though he honestly wasn't sure if he had crossed paths with dappledawn previously. but he supposed it was possible that gorseberry or alpinemask had met her another time. still, lycheewings knew in his heart that cyanstar, alpinemask, and gorseberry would never turn down the chance to help out another clan in grave need. lycheewings heard plenty of stories from the times surrounding quickclan's war with rogues. they had only survived because their allies stood by their side and offered aid. quickclan was a clan that understood hardships, and that some things could only be solved with help. "of course, the offer is always open," he said when thistletuft finally decided on his plan.
indent"follow mem" lycheewings said after a moment's consideration. he led thistletuft to the edge of the hollow, where the trees parted and gave the cats a chance to see what lay beyond. "we're to the south," he began to explain, taking a beat to think how best he could direct thistletuft. "to get home, we follow the horizon, where you can see the mountain peaks. eventually, you'll cross into hazeclan's territory, but keep going south until you reach the moor - that's quickclan's land. you'll be able to find a patrol there and they'll take you to our camp," he said. "if it's alright with you... i'll tell cyanstar that i've spoken to another clan about exchanging herbs, but i won't have to tell him anything further. that's just so our patrols will be on the lookout for your medicine cat, and they'll be welcomed without issue."
flintspark | tom, warrior, 57m, tagged: juniperthroat
indent"oh, you'd be surprised," flintspark said, tone light with amusement. "when i was a kit, there were just about forty members," he explained, "but i don't think the clan has ever stopped growing. my kithood was longer ago than i'd like to remember, but whenever i think the clan can't or won't grow any more, another queen has kits and we have more mouths to feed." but there was no annoyance in flintspark's words. if anything, he smiled even wider at the mention of the kits. but he listened closely as juniperthroat decribed what squids were, and flintspark's nose wrinkled in distaste. "they sound really strange," he said at last. "when rabbits aren't running as much, we like to fish to stock up our prey storage. can you eat squids? are they like fish at all, or no?" already, flintspark had decided that he wasn't all too big a fan of squids, but they still sounded interesting, and he was curious.
peridotivy | molly, warrior, 21m, tagged: painted dog's howl
indent"of course," peridotivy said as painted dog's howl spoke about her clan's code of honor and loyalty. "quickclan warriors take a vow to protect the clan, no matter what. and i'm not saying that i wouldn't protect the clan," peridotivy explained, her tail tip twitching. "because i'd do anything for my friends and family. and i'd never let an eagle or hawk take one of our kits." there was a fire, a deep determination in the set of peridotivy's shoulders, as if she would leap up and begin clawing at a hawk in that very moment. she was loyal to her home, and nothing would get in her way. but, even still, she was still just a young warrior. "but i get scared. we had a cat who was almost crushed in falling tunnel under the moorland. and i can't help but think sometimes that, even though i'd die protecting my clan... that doesn't mean i want to die in battle or anything. does that make sense?"
olivepaw | molly, warrior, 10m, tagged: mercurypaw
indent"i wish i was a little faster, like some of the senior warriors," olivepaw said. she scuffed her paw against the ground. "some of the warriors say that cyanstar was one of the fastest cats ever, but he has long legs. i don't, but i've been trying really hard. maybe one day." still, her eyes glowed with pride for her clan. there was no doubt in olivepaw's mind that there was no where she'd rather be than in quickclan. she listened as mercurypaw spoke about her training, and she nodded sympathetically. "not everyone can be great at everything. i'm sure there are other skills that you'll be amazing at. or, maybe learning other skills and building up your training a little bit more can help you get better at training." olivepaw shook her head when mercurypaw asked if she knew climbing. "only a little, but i'm not so good at it either. thankfully we don't have many trees in quickclan's territory - i'd much rather stay on the ground than go climbing." she laughed a little at herself. "we learned how to swim, and that wasn't so fun either. i don't like getting my fur wet, and it takes forever to dry. but we've been exploring a few tunnels and old rabbit burrows, and i like that a lot more. there's a lot to explore, and we're hoping that we can track prey underground, so that'd be really cool to learn how to do." she shrugged at the thought. "but mostly i just like hunting. running, chasing rabbits, stalking mice. oh! and i learned how to jump up and catch birds, so even if they start to fly away, i can still get them."
