QUICKCLAN
cyanstar | tom, leader, 82m, tagged: foxstar
indentwhen foxstar asked about cyanstar's kits, he immediately brightened and his tail curled with happiness. "oh yes," he said, nodding his head. "my mate and i - i guess you could say we have a big family. we found ou first daughter when she was just a little scrap of fur, and we've had a few other litters since then. our youngest will be made apprentices any day now, but one of our other daughters has kits of her own now." it was shocking how fast the moons flew by. it seemed like only yesterday that cyanstar and falconflight decided to adopt their first daughter, and their family had only grown more and more since then. "we've been extremely forunate with our family. i honestly never thought i would have kits, i didn't think i'd be a great father, but falconflight... he's just great with them." cyanstar could barely contain his love for his family, and his ears pricked eagerly when foxstar mentioned her own kits. "well, congratulations, that's a really big step." he purred softly when foxstar expressed how she was feeling. "you should've seen me when our first litter came. our first daughter was at least an older kit when we found her, but i was so nervous for having newborn kits around. i was scared i'd accidentally squish them or something, y'know?" he laughed at himself. "but i haven't regretted a single moment. it can definitely be stressful, but i'm sure that you'll love them when you see them. and you aren't alone, after all, and extra paws is always better."
indentcyanstar nodded sympathetically when foxstar mentioned that chaosclan had some recent trouble. though he didn't pry further, knowing that there were some things better left private, he nodded. "we had some flooding recently which swept up one of our patrols. the injuries have been keeping our medicine cats very busy. thankfully we didn't lose any warriors, but it's always hard when we have flooding - we can fight badgers or foxes, but water is something else." he shook his head. "i'm glad to hear that your clan is recovering, though."

flintspark | tom, warrior, 57m, tagged:
indentwithout his vision, flintspark let his other senses guide his path. it had been many, many seasons since he gained the scars that also took his eyesight, so his movements were fluid and sure. though he hadn't been to many gatherings, the senior warrior was confident, and he took the changing tides of the crowd in stride. thankfully, his brother had been to a fair share of gatherings, enough to give flintspark a brief layout of the hollow. though peckernose couldn't relay the many dips and rises of the ground, often overlooked to cats who still had their full vision, flintspark was able to find the rise where the leaders were gathering together, and the space fo the deputies underneath. though flintspark was merely a senior warrior, splashfall hadn't been able to make the gathering, and cyanstar had requested that flintspark join the group in his place.
indentat last flintspark settled and began to groom his sleek black fur, washing the signs of their travel from his pelt while he waited for someone to approach him.
peridotivy | molly, warrior, 21m, tagged: painted dog's howl
indentperidotivy knew that she sometimes took her family for granted. there were plenty of cats in quickclan who arrived after having nothing that even resembled a family. each time, it struck peridotivy how lucky she was to have her littermates and mothers by her side. she loved them - she truly did - but she also would be the first to admit that they got her nerves often enough. pearlnose could be too abrasive, shamrockeyes too loud, and hyacinthpool too upbeat. her mothers could fuss too much, and peridotivy knew that she had brushed them off many times before. so, she felt a pang of sympathy when painted dog's howl spoke on the importance of peidotivy's name, and the dark warrior dipped her head. she was thankful when painted dog's howl began to explain what giraffes were, though the moment was a crucial reminder that peridotivy was extremely fortunate, and she told herself that she would do something extra kind for her family when she returned home, because it was no guarentee that they would always be there.
indent"oh, they sound terrifying," peridotivy said when painted dog's howl spoke. she shuddered at the very thought of the massive animals, who were even taller than the trees. peridotivy's eyes got wide with awe. "aren't you ever scared?" she asked. sometimes she still felt like a kit. she knew that she was still a young warrior, working to gain valuable experience like quickclan's senior warriors. still, the fact that painted dog's howl could laugh while talking about these monstrous animals made peridotivy's whiskers quiver. "just thinking about them makes me think that i'll be crushed. it sounds like our territories are very different, after all. we have a lot of different animals - but thankfully no hyenas or giraffes."
olivepaw | molly, warrior, 10m, tagged: mercurypaw
indent"i wish i was a little faster, like some of the senior warriors," olivepaw said. she scuffed her paw against the ground. "some of the warriors say that cyanstar was one of the fastest cats ever, but he has long legs. i don't, but i've been trying really hard. maybe one day." still, her eyes glowed with pride for her clan. there was no doubt in olivepaw's mind that there was no where she'd rather be than in quickclan. she listened as mercurypaw spoke about her training, and she nodded sympathetically. "not everyone can be great at everything. i'm sure there are other skills that you'll be amazing at. or, maybe learning other skills and building up your training a little bit more can help you get better at training." olivepaw shook her head when mercurypaw asked if she knew climbing. "only a little, but i'm not so good at it either. thankfully we don't have many trees in quickclan's territory - i'd much rather stay on the ground than go climbing." she laughed a little at herself. "we learned how to swim, and that wasn't so fun either. i don't like getting my fur wet, and it takes forever to dry. but we've been exploring a few tunnels and old rabbit burrows, and i like that a lot more. there's a lot to explore, and we're hoping that we can track prey underground, so that'd be really cool to learn how to do." she shrugged at the thought. "but mostly i just like hunting. running, chasing rabbits, stalking mice. oh! and i learned how to jump up and catch birds, so even if they start to fly away, i can still get them."
