coalstar gave the molly a small nod, eager to talk about her clan. she was extremely proud of lightclan and how far it had come over the past few moons. the she-cat took a moment to think about the various creatures that resided in the clan's territory along with them. there were a fairly decent amount of all kinds of animals that the leader had seen thorought the areas near camp. "we do have a lot of rabbits and hares there." the molly said, nodding thoughtfully. clementineflower had been correct about that, the rabbits in lightclan territory were fairly big. better fed, too. coalstar loved a nice, fat rabbit, and was always glad to see one make an appearance in the prey pile. they were pretty fast creatures, though, and you needed to be quick enough to catch one. coalstar supposed that thats where her long legs truly did come in handy. "we have some birds too, though, like sparrows and ducks. I've seen a bear once in the more foresty parts of our territory, but that was only from afar." she did remember spotting a bear while patrolling the clan's borders a few moons ago. the molly made sure to stay well away from it, bears terrified her. they were massive and, from what she had heard, extremely territorial. "what about your clan?" the molly asked clementineflower, curious to hear about the kinds of creatures that resided in the ginger she-cat's clan.

stagleap nodded, understanding what the other deputy was trying to ask him. the question itself seemed a bit vague to the tom, but that was fine with him. taking on a pensive expression, he paused a few moments before answering. "it's pretty nice there. coalstar is a good leader, and we've already formed a few allainces with other clans. there hasn't been much conflict, either, which is good." the tom said with a thoughtful nod. he couldn't help but grin, he was always with such pride whenever he thought of his clan. they were a pretty peaceful clan, too, and the past few moons had been pretty calm. not like stagleap had much of a problem with that. the most conflict that had happened as of late were the handful of disagreements between him and thornstrike. never any big arguments, though, the lightclan deputy hated arguing with other cats. "how about snowclan?" the tom asked, interested to hear about what frosteye's clan was like.

"so..." the molly started, her voice trailing off as she thought about what to ask. "do you have any friends back in your clan? or any family?" she asked, finishing her sentence after a few moments. it seemed like an innocent enough question, albeit a bit nosy. still, it was the only thing that frecklenose was able to think of right on the spot.

straightening his posture to sit up a little straighter, the burly, dark brown tom listened as flaxduck spoke. so duckclan did have a lot of ducks after all, huh? that made a lot of sense. he couldn't help but think that it would be strange if they didn't. it would be like if lightclan had a really shady territory or something. when the other tom had finished speaking, bearstep furrowed his brow in thought. of course, he hadn't seen many ducks in his clan and never really paid much attention to where they really lived. honestly, he had just assumed they lived in a body of somewhere not too far away. like a big lake, maybe. drawing his attention back to the other tom, he shrugged. "I'm not completely sure. I always thought that they lived in like, a lake or something." the tom said with a nod. it must be nice for them, to live wherever that they wanted to. not that bearstep didn't like it in lighclan, though. he loved it there of course. "or they could be magic. how would that work, anyway?" the tom added, his voice shifting to an inquisitive tone.

the white lykoi gave her head a small shake, not too sure why cloudynight was even aplogizing. she truly felt for the tom. and while the information she had heard had been a unexpected and a lot to take in, it wasn't anything that she couldn't handle hearing. though she had always kept her emotions to herself, she couldn't imagine what it could be like not sharing anything like that. especially when it was something so... heavy. personally, swancry was never one to handle grief well. and besides, her brief discomfort seemed like such a miniscule, almost nonexistant problem compared to what the poor guy had gone through. swancry had never been good at putting others at ease, other's emotions were a confusing thing to her. but she would try her best. after all, it was the least she could do to help. "oh, no, don't apologize. it's just, I couldn't imagine..." she shook her head, her voice trailing off. she thought it might be best to change the subject, as it wasn't exactly an ideal topic to discuss any longer. "yeah, I guess it is. if it's any reassurance, though, it could always be worse." she said, giving the medicine cat a small smile.

eggnog tilted her head slightly, taking on a pensive expression. quite frankly, the young molly had never really paid much attention to lightclan's relationships with other clans. she did know, however, that lightclan had a handful of allies already. as a fairly friendly clan, they tried to keep good relations with the other groups they came across. but so many things had happened in eggnog's life as of late, it was hard to focus on everything that was happening in her clan. and besides, she knew that she wasn't known to have the best attention span. however, the name opal's circus did sound a famliar to her, so maybe she had heard it before after all. coalstar had most likely discussed it with the clan as a whole before. so it would make sense if it turned out that both clans were actually allies with one another. kitty would probably know about it more than her, though. "huh, I think we are." the molly said, her expression brightening. "that would be so cool!" eggnog very much liked the idea of her clan having allies. that would mean that she could visit friends in other clans. how cool would that be?

CHESSCLAN !!

ROOKSTAR

Rookstar nodded slowly, a smile evident across his face. He was content to sit in silence for a few moments, but he didn't let it stretch out to the point of awkwardness. "Has anything interesting happened in the past few moons for you?" he asked politely, interested if anything big had happened. ChessClan had been rather quiet, and there was a part of him that yearned for a thrilling story. Yet, he also hoped the Court had had a few quiet and peaceful moons as well.

CHASMSTAR

Chasmstar's entire body vibrated as she surged into the Gathering. She had eyes for only one pelt, and she sifted through the mass of cats until she spotted the eyes that made her blood boil. She wouldn't let him get the better of her this time, no she wouldn't. She stalked across the ground until she reached the tom, twisting around to run her thick tail underneath his chin in a greeting. "Hello, darling," she purred, her voice silky smooth yet dripping with all the venom she could muster. "I sure hope this past moon has brought as much misery upon your shoulders as it possibly could," she chirped brightly, as if she hadn't just blatantly insulted and wished harm on another cat. Her eyes were turned up in a wicked smile, and she winked at the tom before sweeping herself in a circle and sitting with her tail wrapped tightly around her paws. With one final action to complete her strange hello, she reached up with a paw and lightly tapped the tom's nose with a kit-like grin.

RICHTERSCREECH

Richterscreech nodded enthusiastically. “Wolfwhiskers means well, but he’s so overbearing sometimes. There are minor scrapes that end with me confined to his den for a moon,” he chuckled, not caring to fix his slight exaggeration. It was true that he often got into one-sided scraps with thorn bushes that left him a little worse for wear, but he wouldn’t admit that to a deputy of another Clan. “I thought my confinement would never end,” he meowed suddenly, raising his eyes to the sky with a wistful. “I was beginning to think I’d never get to sit out of camp and just stare at the stars,” he mumbled quietly.

WOLFWHISKERS

Wolfwhiskers's eyes widened instantly as the two words fell from Emberspark's mouth. As she quickly explained what she hem ducked his head in embarrassment and mumbled a few incoherent syllables while shuffling his paws across the ground. When he looked up out of the tops of his eyes, he couldn't bring himself to meet her own eyes. "It's not like I had much choice," he quickly meowed, the words flooding from him as if the dam had burst after he made the smallest crack. "Something about you just clicks well with me, and it's like I'm a different cat around you. I can't quite figure it out, and neither can my son. He says I come back from Gatherings with my head in the clouds," he chuckled, quickly shutting his mouth in the hopes that he hadn't said too much. He could see Rocherpebble now, grinning at him for what had just happened. He made a mental note not to share what happened to day with his son, but he knew the tiny beast would be able to get it out of him eventually. After all, Wolfwhiskers had promised not to keep anything from him during his effort to become a better father.

PAPILLONSHIMMER

Papillonshimmer nodded enthusiastically as she thought about Suiecloud back at camp. "He sounds like a wonderful tom. I've got my friend, Suiecloud, back at camp watching over my own wings," she chuckled, glad he'd chosen to stay at home this time. As she slowly approved more and more of Antflare, she turned to look at Apisbumble. "Are there any cats in SloughClan who don't particularly like you?" she asked seriously, knowing that if any cat was bullying her sister she'd end them rather quickly. Papillonshimmer was fiercely protective of Apisbumble, almost frighteningly so. She knew cats could be cruel, that much was evident from their past, and she wasn't about to let a cruel cat get the better of her sister. She'd also need to have a stern talk with Antflare to make sure his motives were in the right place. She suddenly shook her head, knowing her protective and obsessive side was starting to take over.

CRÉCERELLEFLIGHT

Crécerelleflight hadn't realized he'd not spoken of ChessClan before, and he could barely stop the flow of words once they started. "Well, ChessClan is in this beautiful valley surrounded on all sides by mountains. We're an extremely large Clan, and our nursery is currently overflowing. I joined as a Cavalier, so I never witnessed the nursery and apprenti den myself. Despite it being so large, every cat knows every cat. It's extremely homey, and all cats lend a paw in raising the young. It's almost like it's unreal how utterly perfect it is, even if things happen from time to time," his voice trailed off as the horrifying memories of Quickcough surfaced to the front of his mind. "We lost almost half the Clan nearly a season-cycle ago. A disease we named Quickcough swept through the Clan so quickly, leaving only destruction in its wake. It's how my brother, Soleilstripes, died," he whispered, dropping his head as he trembled.

ROMARINTUFT

Romarintuft swallowed nervously. "I have a sister, Mauvefleck. I also have a mother, father, and another sister, but they all passed away," he meowed quietly, his voice and face falling as he remembered them. He fought back the tears and offered a weak smile. "What about yourself? Any good friends yet?" he meowed, assuming the molly had no family since she spoke of having so recently joined. Yet, he felt it wrong to assume. "Or any family, but I doubt it," he added light-heartedly, chuckling.

KATTER AV DEN FROSNE ØYA

MOOSESTAR

Moosestar stared at herself in the puddle, quickly grooming her ruffled fur as she scoffed. She wasn't about to attend the Gathering looking like she just rolled out of her nest, that was for sure. Yet, that was the truth of what had happened. She had spent much of the past moon in her nest with Aukkit, Dallkit, and Verglaskit. After the accident which resulted in her losing a life and two of her kits being severely injured, she would take no chances. Fierce motherly protective instincts flooded through her, temporarily distracting her. She spun, narrowly missing another cat with her tail. "I'm sorry," she meowed, noticing the cat was in the leaders area. "I'm Moosestar," she meowed quickly, introducing herself so as not to be rude.

OYSTERSNAP

Oystersnap dipped his head to Atlasrain respectfully before he sat down. “I traveled a long ways,” he meowed, his croaking voice finally smoothing into a soft bass. “And what about you? Did you have to come very far?” he meowed, shuffling his paws against the ground as he hoped he wasn’t being too forward. This was to be one of his last Gatherings, and he wanted to enjoy himself. He knew that once he retired from being Hertuger he would need to stay at camp with the rest of the older cats. Yet, he found himself not wanting to. He resolved to pester Moosestar to allow him to return to Gatherings even after he retired. The long journey may be too much sometimes, but he would be willing to make it other times.

CROOKEDSTRIKE

“I don’t think I could ever have that many litters. I love the nursery, but not enough to stay permanently,” she chuckled, shaking out her pelt. Her eyes widened as her belly swung beneath her, surprised it was already low enough to do that. It wouldn’t be long before she would have to tell Tombecho and Maplesong.
Crookedstrike just rolled her eyes teasingly at Mintfur, sneaking in a wink at the last second. “Tombecho and Maplesong have well-stocked stores. We’ve got three mollies kitting this moon, and then there me,” she chuckled, gesturing at herself with her tail. The small boom of kits was exciting nearly every cat in the Clan, and Crookedstrike was growing more and more eager to meet her litter as news of Ospreyfrost, Aurorashine, and Orionstrike’s due dates grew closer and closer.

BELLMELODY & BOGBELLY

Bellmelody grinned as Nutmegdawn and Peppermintcloud acted like an elderly couple, one that had been together for too many moons to count. She hoped to find a love like that someday, but she had to suppress the thoughts of that love being Bogbelly. "I was brought into Frosne as a young kit, so I've essentially grown up there. Same thing goes for Bogbelly," she meowed, answering for the tom who seemed lost in his thoughts. "Huh?" he meowed, blinking in embarrassment as he realized he'd missed a whole conversation point. Bellmelody giggled at the tom's response, and she turned back to the two IceClan cats. "Your territory sounds pretty nice. I could never imagine living somewhere without all the snow and ice," she chuckled, twisting their own words back at them.

DIPPERDUO

Dipperduo sighed, happy to have averted a near crisis. "I'm usually such a chatty cat, but Gatherings unnerve me. It's extremely strange, but I guess it's the crowd. While Frosne is growing larger all the time, the camp and territory are absolutely huge. We only have three to five cats sleeping in each cave," she chuckled, knowing that last part was untrue in the winter. During the cold months, as many cats as possible piled into a cave to create a pocket of body warmth. The oldest cats, of course, slept in the inner portion while the younger slept towards the outer ring. There was one good thing about having short fur, and it was that she received the dried pelts of larger mammal prey to wear when either out of camp or in her nest at night. Dipperduo sighed as she thought about the rabbit pelt she had used last winter, and she hoped to get a good one this season as well. When Oystersnap had suggested the idea, Dipperduo had been ecstatic.

LEMMINGPAW

Lemmingpaw chuckled as Echopaw talked, and he nodded along with her. "It's always great when a cat who isn't your mentor is willing to help," he meowed, but he didn't actually know. Nothing like that had ever happened to him, but he was new enough to Frosne that he didn't know every cat yet. Strangely enough, he just didn't care and wanted to make Echopaw feel better. So, he was going to lie his way through this and hope for the best.

GINGERBREADPAW

Gingerbreadpaw laughed as Impalapaw mentioned that she'd cheated the system. "Guess you could say I did," she purred, puffing her chest out proudly. She'd only been allowed to come because it was summer, so the snow was mostly melted. "I'm just so glad I got to come. I saw more than most Frosne cats will ever see!" she crowed, standing up quickly and giving a defiant glare around her. She was proud of herself, and she wouldn't let Lemmingpaw's ugly face determine how she was going to act at the Gathering. Finally fully out of her funk, she whirled on Impalapaw and smiled. "I'm Gingerbreadpaw," she meowed, not being able to remember if she'd introduced herself yet or not.

CASCADECLAN has arrived!
Attending: Silverstar, Aldernight, Banjaxpaw, Arilwrath, Muntjacpaw, Langsat, Ignitionpaw, Rhizomecinder, Pilferpaw

Silverstar

Silverstar padded through the crowd with a smile on her maw. Her third Gathering as the leader. She could do this, preferably without making a fool of herself like the first two times. "Hello," she greeted some other molly near the leaders' area. "I'm Silverstar of CascadeClan. Who are you?"

Aldernight

"We were certainly founded later than most clans, but I wouldn't refer to the Cascade as new," Aldernight replied. "We've been around for eleven moons—nearly a full cycle." He asked in return, "And what of TidalClan? Is it one of the older groups?"

Banjaxpaw

"No need to feel uneasy," Banjaxpaw reassured. "I don't bite anything but predators and prey. You're neither, I think." He added, "I've only been training for four moons myself, and I started early."

Arilwrath

He noticed the other feline discreetly analyzing him, and Arilwrath effectively beat back a smile. Good. He wanted to be viewed as a possible threat. "I am Arilwrath of the Cascade," the torpedo informed. He rather liked his suffix. "Which of those cats is your leader?" the ragged-furred tomcat inquired, tail pointing towards the high ranks. He had no reason to ask other than being genuinely curious.

Muntjacpaw

Her clan had been lucky, then. Not the entire world remained unaffected by the weather. "I'm glad everyone survived," Langsat said. Her maw turned into a tight frown. "It's been unusually peaceful in my clan's part of the territory. It makes me wonder if something real bad will be happening soon."

Ignitionpaw

He strode into the crowd with a smirk playing on his maw, pushing into the high rank section of the crowd. "So, who wants to chat?" Ignitionpaw challenged no one in particular.

Rhizomecinder

"We have bats most often," the spate replied, "small weasels, lizards, fish, the occasional porcupine, and too many species of songbirds to name. Snow leopards, sun bears, harpy eagles..." He smiled faintly, fondly. "The Cascade is home to a vast variety of creatures. Enough that we have two branches of hunting, and at least three styles for the most determined apprentices to master." Rhizomecinder asked, "The ducks—do you hunt them?"

Pilferpaw

Pilferpaw ran ahead of Rhizomecinder, jaw dropping at the sight and scents. "Woah... I didn't know the stars had so many followers!"

Morningstar continued to watch the gathering from the rock she sat upon.

Amberlight flicked an ear in embarrassment. "I shouldn't have dozed off."

She licked a paw and drew it over her head. "RyeClan's been good. I just got back to my deputy duty, after 2 moons of resting. I had my leg broken." The tortoiseshell wiggled the toes on her previously-broken leg. "How about SloughClan?"

Willapool had her eyes on Fallowdust as Blitzjump crashed in. She hadn't seen him coming, and jumped so high in the air from the surprise. She blinked the fear out of her eyes as she flattened the fur on her back. What a wild cat! He was so small, too, his energy must be super condensed into his little form.

"Y-yeah! Friends! Have you... met any other interesting cats yet?" Willapool asked the duo. "I've been... keeping to myself. This isn't really my kind of thing."

"Oh, you guys are from a farm too?" Penguinpaw felt comforted that these two apprentices came from somewhere similar to him. "There's all kind of stuff growing there! Lots of fruits, and grains. All the stuff that prey likes!"

The compliment caused Penguinpaw to wiggle his stubby tail. "You guys seem cool too!"

"RyeClan is nice, yeah! There's lots of nice cats that took me in when I was little." Penguinpaw thought fondly of his foster mother. "What's the Golden Kingdom like? What does your territory look like?"

Cowpaw leaned foward to sniff the two cats. She flicked an ear in response to Bramblingpaw's greeting.

"You smell like herbs." She said bluntly. "I'm Cowpaw! Do you know what a cow is? We have heaps in RyeClan territory. They're big, but not scary." Cowpaw rambled, not talking any notice if the other two cats were paying attention or not.

Pantherstar tilted her head a bit as the other leader explained a bit about her clan. It was clear that the younger molly was defiantly from an interesting group. "No your fine. I'm not much of a talker so I don't mind. Your group, it peaks my interest and you don't seem to be a threat." she spoke. It was strange how quickly Pantherstar had taken a liking to the young Queen, part of her wanting to take her under her wing and protect her, maybe it was just the motherly instinct in her.

"She seems to have a good second then. I'm sure you guys will do just fine. Plus if things keep up this way I wouldn't be surprised if Pantherstar wanted to have you guys as allies." Starlingflight admitted. Although he didn't make the decisions like that, he knew if Pantherstar didn't ask by the end of the gathering he for sure would highly suggest it.

"I don't think they understand. It's normal. Your excited. Your young. No worries. Like I said I have kits, six daughters to be exact. And boy did they drive my crazy there for a while. Relaxing once more, the large tom let out a heavy sigh feeling a bit of weight lift off his shoulders. "Thank you Swancry... for sitting and bearing with me there. It's much appreciated. You are truly a kind cat." Cloudynight purred, respectfully dipping his head to the white molly. He had poured all his troubles on to the young cat and yet here she stayed. It was comforting in away to have someone listen and he knew after the gathering he would have to speak with Mothtuft. The two toms needed to help one another.

"I... I wanted to follow the footsteps of a former leader of ours. He died before I was born, but I see him frequently in my dreams. However I know he'd be proud of me either way." Vaporpaw purred. Some cats had the calling from birth where Vaporpaw didn't realize that his path was to be a medicine cat until during the HazeClan battle. It was then when he got roped in to helping Cloudynight and it was then when he decided he wanted to become a great medicine cat like Cloudynight.

Hearing Wolfwhiskers talk about how something just clicked between them, Emberspark nodded. She knew what he meant, as she felt it herself. Since the very first day she met him, something unexplainable had drawn the ginger and white tabby molly to him. "I know what you mean... Whatever it is, I felt it the first time we ever met. It's hard to explain it, but I'm grateful that your in my life. Turns out you are what I needed to get that spark back. I don't want to let you down." She meowed. Emberspark had no plans of getting this deep so quickly, but it felt right.

Giving a small nod as Snakefur told her what his clan was, Wrenwillow smiled shyly at him. "I'm assuming gatherings aren't really your thing?" She asked. "Their not really mine either." Wrenwillow added, letting out a soft chuckle.

Upon hearing the name Parsleypaw, Peridot realized that it was the other cat that Pikeleap often talked about. With Cinderhowl mentioning the fact that the newly appointed warrior most likely had a crush on Pikeleap it made sense. Peridotgaze listened as Cinderhowl explained the meaning of Metalcry's name, understanding that some cats often wanted to stick with the name they where given or a version close to it. "It makes sense now that you explain it. We have some cats like that. We have a senior warrior named Inkfire. Ink is a strange name but it actually suits him after hearing why his mother named him that to begin with." she explained, chuckling lightly.

Her blue eyes went wide with surprise to hear the cat in front of her had a broken leg just a few moons ago. Blinking a few times before she could respond to the question "Been good recently had an influx of apprentices actual. Luckily that was before the wind storm happened. Mostly just soaked us all, but one apprentice was lost for about a moon. Thankfully we found him safe and he had met another cat on his journey." she mused remembering the horrid storm. It made the ground of Sloughclan even more muddy and messy than it usually was. Which was no fun for hunting or patrolling though they still had to do. Especially patrolling just in case the storm drew in any unwanted visitors.

At the last couple of sentences, Langsat prickled Poppypool with unease at the thought. It's true she felt the same about her own clan, but she didn't want to show weakness. Granted she hadn't told anyone about her recent dreams not knowing if they were omens or just dreams. Taking in a deep breath as she attempted to mask the worry from her face "If so I pray Starclan sends you a warning before anything happens." she mumbled softly. Still lost in her worrying thoughts of something happening to the clan she called home.

"I guess I did the same thing kinda? My mother uses to be a medicine cat and all her stories always fascinated me so I begged her to let me be Poppypool's apprentice when I was old enough." he said thinking fondly of his mother. Truly she did amaze him and was proud to be his son. He couldn't wait for her to do his ceremony when he would get his full Medicine Cat name. Seeing as his siblings recently all become warriors, and now he is the only one that is still an apprentice. That didn't bother him but hearing their names just excited him more to think of what his might be.

Purring happily glad to hear that her sister likes the sounds of Antflare. She hoped at some point they both could meet at a gathering as he had become her rock while in the clan. Somehow he understands her perfectly no matter the situation. The last question she asked left her a bit shocked "Uh-no not that I can think of..." she said trailing off toward the end. Remembering overhearing a time when Grasscloud was with his apprentice Viperpaw. He said he believes she was weak due to her not willing to speak much to other cats. Not that she cared what he thought, but it still stung a little.

Thinking for a moment on how to word the thoughts he was having. As his clan felt like family though none were related to him by blood. "Friends yes, but family no I guess? Everyone feels like family at this point, but none are really related to me. If that makes sense?" he sounded more skeptical than he thought he would. Attempting to shake it off as he wished he could have said it with more confidence. It's true though he wanted a family so maybe that's why his clan mates called him such a flirt. "Um, how about you?" he said trying to deflect from the answer he had given.

"Maybe it called Cloverclan because of the lucky four-leaf clover. Seeing as you've got be lucky to not be crushed by a rock." she joked with Darkfox. When he asked the same question back to her she had to think about it a little. So she would say the correct words to describe the place she called home. "We sit in a forest that has what most would call a marsh, swamp, or wetland right at its core. The ground can go from solid to rather soft pretty quickly. It takes some time to get used to that's for sure." she said to him.

Nodding her head as a response to her former peer with a smile on her face. Laughing a little as it was true "Especially after the wind storm that came thru. Drenching everything in its path." she said to him trailing off with a chuckle at the end. Though the mud could get frustrating at times with getting stuck. She believed she had been getting the hang of it, then she would get stuck the very next day. It was fun to play with the small mud patches in the camp though with the kits. They definitely enjoyed the mud more than any warrior or apprentice within the clan.

So now being in a very big group of cats was a little strange. It was comforting to think you'd always have someone to talk to. Though he still keeps to himself most of the time. Seeing as his mentor told him not to make himself vulnerable.

Though they allowed outsiders it was rare for them to be fully grown usually they were pages or maybe squire age. Now though she is cautious Bluebellcrown more readily accepts new knights as to grow the court as a whole.

CASCADECLAN has arrived!
Attending: Silverstar, Aldernight, Banjaxpaw, Arilwrath, Muntjacpaw, Langsat, Ignitionpaw, Rhizomecinder, Pilferpaw

Silverstar

Silverstar padded through the crowd with a smile on her maw. Her third Gathering as the leader. She could do this, preferably without making a fool of herself like the first two times. "Hello," she greeted some other molly near the leaders' area. "I'm Silverstar of CascadeClan. Who are you?"

Aldernight

"We were certainly founded later than most clans, but I wouldn't refer to the Cascade as new," Aldernight replied. "We've been around for eleven moons—nearly a full cycle." He asked in return, "And what of TidalClan? Is it one of the older groups?"

Banjaxpaw

Arilwrath

He noticed the other feline discreetly analyzing him, and Arilwrath effectively beat back a smile. Good. He wanted to be viewed as a possible threat. "I am Arilwrath of the Cascade," the torpedo informed. He rather liked his suffix. "Which of those cats is your leader?" the ragged-furred tomcat inquired, tail pointing towards the high ranks. He had no reason to ask other than being genuinely curious.

Muntjacpaw

Despite his age, this was his first Gathering, and he was very tempted to draw back at the young molly's hostility. However, he was training to be a Cyclone, and he couldn't be running away from every little thing. His mentor saw potential in him, and Muntjacpaw desperately wanted to live up to those high expectations. "That's the point of a Gathering, isn't it?" he replied. "To make bonds with the other clans?"

Langsat

Now they were both just two, old mollies worrying about the fates of their clans. How absolutely pathetic. Sensing that Poppypool was caught up in her thoughts, Langsat remained quiet as she should've to begin with. She couldn't paint the Cascade as weak. Eerie would be welcome, but never weak. The deputy would get on her tail for it; he took inter-clan relationships more seriously than the leader ever would.

Ignitionpaw

The seeker pushed through the crowd, following his esteemed mentor towards the healers' area before bounding off after his deputy and leader. He was, technically, a high rank, and therefore privileged enough to deal with them. A smirk played on his maw as he approached a grumpy-lookinv cat and teased, "Aren't high ranks supposed to be productive during Gatherings? Sitting around is for the lesser folks."

Rhizomecinder

"We have bats most often," the spate replied, "small weasels, lizards, fish, the occasional porcupine, and too many species of songbirds to name. Snow leopards, sun bears, harpy eagles..." He smiled faintly, fondly. "The Cascade is home to a vast variety of creatures. Enough that we have two branches of hunting, and at least three styles for the most determined apprentices to master." Rhizomecinder asked, "The ducks—do you hunt them?"

Pilferpaw

Pilferpaw ran ahead of Rhizomecinder, jaw dropping at the sight and scents. "Woah... I didn't know the stars had so many followers!"

Ah. A true smile. Raptorstar allowed his tense muscles to relax, realizing he wasn't chasing away this other cat. At least not yet. He took a deep breath, listening to Briarstar talk about her clan and nearly shuddering. "I don't think I'd ever be able to live in the cold for more than just Leafbare, that's already enough cold for me..." He mumbled, nearly under his breath, shaking his head slightly at Briarstar's ambition to live in the cold with SnowClan. "Ah, ChaosClan has every bit of weather imaginable, unfortunately. Recently a big windstorm destroyed half our camp. Thankfully, the snow doesn't get too deep, and we only see the cold in Leafbare. Really, since we live on a Thunderpath, it keeps us quite warm by reflecting the sun." He blinked in surprise as he finished talking, not realizing how much he was revealing about his clan. How strange that nerves could make you either talk way too much or not nearly enough.

Atlasrain followed Oystersnap's suit, settling down into the soft ground tentatively. No sense in being uncomfortable if he was going to chat with this cat. Slowly, surely, Atlasrain felt himself relaxing, realizing that other cats weren't all bad or judgmental. "I don't think I'd want to travel that far to come here," Atlasrain found himself admitting, blinking over at Oystersnap. "I commend you for taking the journey here for a gathering. ChaosClan's travels aren't terribly far from here, really just a night or two if we are all able to keep moving at a steady pace." Atlasrain found himself looking around, though his vision was limited. "I swear everytime I'm here there are more and more cats."

The others were too stunned by the sudden loss of Amberdawn to come. He couldn't blame them - after all, she had been in ChaosClan since the beginning. He bowed his head slightly at the thought of the recent loss, allowing a small amount of grief to wash over him. ChaosClan had had a hard moon, but they would come back stronger than ever. Instead of dwelling on the past, Timberleaf was always one to look towards what he could do in the present. He sat off to the side of the gathering, listening to the conversations around him with perked ears.

"I have three mentors, and sometimes they don't all agree how they should teach me this past moon, but I've definitely been learning a lot. There really is so much to understand about medicine, so much more than I thought... really, I thought I could just pick pretty flowers all day!" Pikapaw beamed over at Vaporpaw with a purr of their own. "Just kidding, though Rabbitpaw and Harepaw, my littermates, say I'm crazy for wanting to be a medicine cat and be stuck in camp all day. I don't think they realize how much we actually do!"

As another cat joined the fray, Pikapaw switched their attention slightly, angling themself to look both at the newcomer and at Vaporpaw. "Hi!" They said enthusiastically, "no worries, Oreganopaw! I like your name! It sounds very... earthy," Pikapaw tilted their head, trying to think of the right word. "It suits a medicine cat! Anyway, I'm Pikapaw, training to be a healer of ChaosClan!" As he listened to Oreganopaw share his background, he couldn't help but widen his smile. "I feel the same way! Ever since I learned there was such a thing as healers of a clan, I wanted to be one. Though I was a loner before I found a clan - I can say living in a clan is way better."

Cascadefreckle always had a smile on her face, and she sat serenely in the center of the gathering, waiting for other cats to sit near her. Cicadaskip, her lovely mate, glanced at her from farther away, shaking her head at Cascadefreckle's outgoing personality. Cascadefreckle gave Cicadaskip a bright smirk, waving her tail at her mate enthusiastically while she wanted for someone to come near her to strike up a conversation.

Her mate really was crazy. Cascadefreckle was waiting in the middle of everything for someone to talk to her. It wasn't something Cicadaskip's more introverted tendencies understood, but she stayed near the middle to keep tabs on Cascadefreckle, just in case the bubbly she-cat needed her. Not that she would, but just in case... Perhaps she would make her own friend in the process, though Cicadaskip also did not mind if the others just... passed her by.

We're quite a new clan, and this is our first gathering, but we are already growing strong and formidable." She paused for a moment, thinking. "CascadeClan. Sounds like you live near water?"

Really, I just joined because Fluffy gave me an opportunity to keep looking at plants all day instead of hunting," Honeycrisp joked, laughing slightly.

"Trust me the only time we really are a threat to watch out for is if something threats our clan or our allies. However we don't have any enemies and I plan to keep it that way." Pantherstar meowed. When it came to their allies HazeClan was there to jump in if they needed it. "As for my clan, just about the same as any other. We do however have our few differences. One major one being the scars many of us have. Warriors, Elder, Apprentices, Medicine cats, deputies, and leaders all have a special scar they get when become said rank. As you can see the scar here on my chest..." Pantherstar meowed, lifting a paw to show her chest scar a bit better. "The 'x' is the mark of a leader." she explained.

Nodding her head a bit at the reason behind her name was because of her eyes, Peridotgaze couldn't help but let out an amused chuckle as Cinderhowl became a bit awkward. "HazeClan is pretty much like your normal clan. However we don't believe in StarClan. Our ancestors are the Dark Forest and then The Forgotten is where the truly terrible cats go. We also have a celebration we do to honor the dead mostly. However I'd say the biggest difference is that we physically mark ourselves to show our ranks. For example our leader receives a large 'x' shaped one on their chest and medicine cats receive either a star on their forehead or stars on the back of their ears." The mostly white female explained, her eyes watching the tom to see how he would react.

At the mention of her superiors the only one she thought of as nice was the clans medicine cat and Snailstar's best friend Willowreed. Snailstar and Barkburr where very strict and not ones to mess with. All though there where other nice cats in the clan, many cats where more stern. "Our leader and deputy aren't ones to really be considered nice. Although there have been times when I've seen Snailstar smile, but even then it takes Willowreed some effort." the calico meowed.

indententering the gathering was familiar to merlinsong, and he took his time to circle around to the where the rest of the medicine cats tended to gather. the night was long and he felt a renewed sense of energy in his muscles. by the time he had, finally, allowed himself to settle with the other medicine cats, with the sharp scent of herbs strong in his nose, the gray tom stretched with a contented hum before he turned to the nearest cat to himself. "what a clear night, isn't it? makes me feel like i could touch the stars from the treetops, if i felt so inclined to climb them," he said slowly, as if weighing his options. his pale green eyes reflected the pale moonlight as he seemed to assess the tall trees encircling the gathering before he shrugged at last. "maybe, if i was a few moons younger. but, with each passing moon, i do enjoy the company of the ground much more," he added before blinking earnestly at the other tom. "i don't believe we've met before. my name's merlinsong, from highgarden. it's always nice to cross paths with new faces."

EVERGREEN PARK

indentthe cold winter wind lingered deep in squirrelflash's coat as evergreen park's pathfinder led her clan into the gathering. she had decided upon a small party for the gathering, as so many of her pioneers were resting moons of vigorous patrolling and training. so, it was the least squirrelflash could do, she supposed, to give most of the clan the moon off from traveling far away from the evergreen park camp. as much as they enjoyed meeting new cats from faraway places they had never heard of, there were few complaints about staying home. squirrelflash lifted her head to regard to corners of the gathering, watching as the crowd formed into distinct groups here and there as cats settled into a familiar rhythm. she spotted mammoth not too far off, likely searching for a space free from wind, while mallardfeather padded along the perimeter, looking for her long-lost friends. just as squirrelflash turned to look for salmoncurl, she was surprised when a fluffy tail glided through the air, just barely missing her nose. the ginger molly looked in surprise at the other molly, and she mustered an easy smile. "please, no need for apologies. it's very nice to meet you, moosestar. my name is squirrelflash, i'm the pathfinder for evergreen park," she said politely before mulling it over for a moment. "most clans call them leaders, right? it's funny, how many different titles there are when we all do the same thing," she added, sparing a glance towards the other cats gathered nearby.

indentmammoth, for much of the journey, had traveled between salmoncurl and squirrelflash, in an effort to avoid the winds and to find warmth in his friends' thicker pelts. he had hoped that the long journey would warm his muscles, but mammoth still fought to keep from shivering, as though the wind cut directly through to his bones, and he knew, instantly, that he needed to find a place in the middle of the crowd, where, at the very least, he would be saved from the blistering cold for a brief respite. with the singular motive in mind, the hairless tom padded through the crowd, his ears lowered and shoulders drawn as he passed through the groups. at last, when he reached the heart of the gathered, where the wind was significantly less, mammoth sat and curled his tail over his paws.
