the daily life of a ranch dog is never anything special with a simple glance. herding cattle
and livestock, those who frequently patrol the land in case of any threats, caring for the -
youngins and the like. besides the occasional scuffle or confronting a stray, these canines
often don't deal anything significant or harmful. except for one time of the year. which is
coyote season. a hated time among the dogs, due to their dangerous relatives being after
the livestock they've vowed to protect. not only is this time of year just as - if not more -
dangerous than winter, but this year will be even worse than the last. the coyotes former
leader died last year due to the dogs and they're thinking of nothing less than revenge...

the ranch. nothing special about the place. it has about thirty-five acres of land, so yes,
plenty of room to roam and the like. there is a small barn, in which the dogs often take
shelter in it or under it. there's also a pond and many fields. the ranch also raises cattle
and other livestock. cows, sheep, pigs and goats can be found here. chickens and ducks
too. there are woods surrounding two sides of the land. coyote territory. deep in the ─
woods lies a coyote pack. their camp is settled in a clearing, surrounded by dense roots
and brambles, undergrowth and thorns. their territory is rather large, but not very ──
plentiful, which is often the reason why they hunt livestock, especially in winter. xxxxx
