In a forest live two Packs, Lightning and Fire, each standing for something very different. A river separates their territory, a very clear line. These Packs once lived in harmony, but that was a long time ago. A very, very long time ago. Now they are bitter enemies. Generations ago, a quarrel broke out between the Alphas, though no one aside from Alphas know, as knowledge of it has been passed down only from Alpha to future Alpha, the Beta.


Fire Pack Info The Fire Pack are master fighters. Most of their members are trained specifically for battle, and they are enemies to be feared. They are led by what seems on the outside a heartless Alpha, Max, and his mate, Moon. However, they do care for their Pack. These wolves are not above kidnap, attacking without a real reason that’s stated, spying, trickery or...well...anything else, really. They'll do anything they can to wipe out the Lightning Pack and have the forest and all its hunting grounds to themselves.

Lightning Pack Info The Lightning Pack spread their ranks out and are known for being strategists and family oriented more than battle oriented like their rivals. That said, they’re not afraid to fight. Their Alphas died not long ago, and they’d had no set Beta at the time, so it fell to their only daughter, Shadow, who now, almost three years later, leads with pride and joy and, to the frustration of some friends in the past, so far, she has yet to take a mate, which is almost unheard of in the Packs. These wolves are just and fair, they play by the rules unless it’s absolutely impossible to survive or succeed without breaking them. They have a focus on social relationships, training their young to be the best they can be at what they want to be, and on establishing themselves as strong, worth being in the forest just as much as the Fire Pack.


However, now more trouble is on the horizon. It’s winter, prey will be scarce, especially in large game, tempers and anxieties will be high, and this is the season when tensions raise. Nobody understands how, but the quarrel of Alphas always seems to carry through the years, the new Alphas always find a reason to remain bitter at each other. This doesn’t get any better with the incoming cold season. Will they make it through all the storms, cold and rivalries to see the spring?

Alpha: the king or queen of the Pack, in charge.

Alpha's Mate: basically the alpha of opposite gender, their mate, has influence, but not officially titled an alpha

Beta: the second in the command, can be either gender, future Alpha. Chosen by Alpha in RP

Healer: The Medic

Healer Trainee: Self explanatory

Warriors: The wolves who fight for and defend the Pack, the fighters.

Hunters: They Hunt for the Pack, oftentimes forming squads to do so, and join in a fight if there is NO other choice.

Mothers: the She-wolves nursing or expecting pups

Elders: Wolves over 9 who have served their time in the Pack well. (Keep in mind wolves rarely live over 12. Sometimes, but not often in the Wild)

Trainees: The wolves between 8 months and 2 years old who are in training to become Warrior, Hunter or Healer

Pups: young ones under 8 months old

Scout: The singular wolf that keeps watch for threats.

Omega: The singular wolf that does the jobs no other wolf wants to do, and is often treated as less than others. This wolf is forbidden from having a mate or young as long as they maintain this rank. Only Fire Pack has this.

Lightning Pack
Name: Shadow

Age: 7 Years Old

Gender: Female

Personality: Shadow is fierce and loyal to her friends, family. Her Packmates. She’s not going to start a fight and doesn’t much like small squabbles, but if someone challenges or hurts her or her Packmates, she will not stand back and let them get away with it. She won’t admit it, but there are times when she gets a burst of energy just from fighting. Her focus is on her Pack as she wants to provide a safe and happy life for them all. She’s very protective and loves the young ones. She’s emotionally driven to a degree and speaks in a more formal tone unless she’s very close friends with someone. She’d gladly give her own life up to save a Packmate's, and she’s a stubborn and determined wolf. Sometimes, this leads to arguments, frustration etc, and she forms bonds quickly, both good and bad, but once on her bad side, good luck getting off. Her greatest fear is that her Packmates will get hurt because they trusted her, an irrational fear most of the time, but a fear nonetheless.

*Backstory: She never tells anyone, but when she was 2 years old, her brother abandoned them for the Fire Pack, right in the middle of a battle. It broke her. Even worse was that when she returned that night from the battle, she found out her parents had gone and left her the leader of their Pack. Years later, she had a mate and a Pup, Leo, but three months after the birth, two of the three Pups died and were followed by their father, felled in a war, leaving the young Alpha alone, she’s avoided taking another mate since then, more out of fear of losing anyone else. She went on a Hunt a couple months later, and when she returned, Leo was gone. Nobody saw what happened, and many assumed he had died.

Name: Karter (Nickname KT)

Age: 3 Years

Gender: Male

Personality: Karter is hotheaded, having a noticable temper, but also very loyal to the few he calls friends. He doesn’t always come off as the most approachable and isn’t really the social guy, he can be very serious, taking his job seriously, knowing what has to be done and when. He’s protective and TRIES to flirt sometimes, though usually fails at this, given his lack of charisma. He has plenty of stamina and navigation is his forte, not so much for emotional control. He is not very physically strong, but he’s smart and fast too. He’s very secretive and keeps whatever secrets he needs to well-hidden. He is...easily swayed by his emotions, most noticeably his anger or frustration, and gives into it more often than not. He won’t back down from a fight and often is the one to throw the first attack. He’s not very trusting, nor all that pleasant to be around unless you’re a fan of stubborn and sarcastic folks. (IDK. Karter is honestly too complicated for words. You’ll see.)

History: he never tells anyone for fear of being judged, but here it is. He'll tell you if he really trusts you. In his childhood, Karter was actually a really gentle and kind boy, he had a soft heart until his mother died giving birth to his youngest sister's litter. Before that, a best friend and two sisters he loved very much, one from the same litter. His father was abusive and Karter had to harden himself, make himself look tough to keep himself and his sisters safe. Eventually, it stopped being an act and after they managed to run from their abusive father, and he joined the Lightning Pack, he kept that attitude and out of lingering anger and pain, it stuck. Along the way, he got separated from his youngest living sister (twin, actually) and older brother. He never heard from his younger sister, but despite the fact Addilyn (the oldest sibling) heard she had died, Karter never believed it.
