Silk Pine digs out a winter den under a boulder near the lake, which is currently frozen. Squirrels scuttle up pine trees as the wolf approaches.

The icy winter cold bites at her pelt as she enters the den, then goes away as she curls up into a mostly white ball of fur, then falls asleep.

Silk Pine wakes up in the early morning. The storm has died, all the small prey animals are out. A small mouse sprints into it's winter den, a small hole in the snow. Silk Pine runs on light feet after it turns punch a hole in the snow and catches the small animal as it's about to burrow under the roots of a tree. She brings it back into the den and eats, then falls asleep again.

Silk Pine has survived through winter. It is now Spring. She must travel through the mountains, but she needs a companion to do that.

The lake is melting by the second. Pine Silk sleeps under the boulder.

The ground is now soft enough to dig a den under a pine tree. It's temporary, but it will work.

Silk Pine stared up at the mountains. It was time to leave, without other wolves.

Silk Pine looks at Ario for direction. "Will we go to the mountains, to the the spring den?" She asks.
