Yes, this is a wild horse role-play thread. I, personally, had a hard time finding
proper horse role-plays that were always accepting. Therefore, this propelled
me to create yet another wild horse role-play. So, here it is, Forever Together.

Horse behavior is sort of deep, and needs to be understood before
joining this role-play. Horse body language will play a major role. Therefore, I will ask that you either read what follows,
or go to your preferred search engine to read about horse body language. If you wish to know more, simply
investigate elsewhere.

❱Tilted Ears:

If a horse moves his ears back, it doesn't always
mean that he is angry. Only when both ears are pinned
flat against his head does it mean that he is angry.
Sometimes the horse will tilt one ear back while the other
says forward. Or he might tilt one ear back, then switch
and tilt the other ear back. This means that you horse is listening to what is going on
behind him. This is a good sign when you are riding yourhorse. If he tilts his ears
backward, that means that he is paying attention to you
and waiting for you to tell him what to do.

❱Pinned Ears:
When something makes a horse angry, he will pin his ears
back flat against his head. When horses are in a herd, the alpha horse
does this to signal another horse to back off if he is too close.
Also, when riding or working with your horse, he may pin his ears back if
you ask him to do something that he doesn't want to do. If he does this, be careful,
a horse usually pins his ears back as a warning that he is about to lash out (bucking, rearing, biting, ect.).

❱Forward Ears:
When a horse has his ears forward it could mean two things.
Many people say that a horse who has his ears straight forward is in a friendly
mood. However, most of the time when a horse's ears are perked forward it
is a sign of danger. If a horse senses something he thinks is a predator(like a
mountain lion or something) he will move his ears forward. If you are riding
your horse are he perks his ears forward, be on guard because your horse is
likely to spook if whatever it is that scares him moves.

because they have changed. If you, like most people, just ticked the "I agree" box and clicked the sign up button,
this would be a good time to read those rules. They are very important!

∞ herds ;

the herds in this role-play will consist of one stallion, many mares, their offspring, and nothing else.
No other stallions, or geldings for that matter, will accompany a stallion unless they are of his
crop and are young. Once a stallion has gathered three or more mares, he will have a herd.
If the stallion has one or two mares, they will be referred to as a harem. This might not be accurate in reality,
but here, it's what goes. Mares of any age can be in a stallion's herd, but colts born into the herd must leave at 1.5 years.

∞ bachelors ;

on this thread, the bachelors will have a harem of their own. This harem
will consist of the bachelors, and maybe a few mares or younger fillies. During spring,
the bachelor group roams around and finds any lone mares to breed with for that spring.

∞ "ranks" ;

the harem "ranks" and their descriptions are quite simple, actually. The lead mare is usually an
older mare, who has the most experience. This mare doesn't necessarily enjoy fighting and threatening, but
she will perform these actions if need be. Typically, this mare will be friendly to all the other mares,
but favor one especially, making that mare higher on the ranks. This favored mare is usually younger (1-3 years).
The mares can and will challenge the lead mare, whether it be to dominate, or simply test her to make
sure she can still defend the younger fillies if need be. The lead stallion's ultimate role in the herd is to breed.
He doesn't necessarily protect the herd, but he will let the harem or herd know if danger is approaching. This might
be through a nervous whinny or simply bolting off. Usually, the lead mare will lead the charges, and will lead the group to water and food, not the stallion. The role of the typical mare is to reproduce. It's pretty simple.

∞ forms ;

This rule is pretty simple. Please use your own form, so that I can see your literacy and realism rate.
I will provide a generic form, but don't use it if you read the rules. This way, I know who actually read these.
This is a way of me knowing whether or not to accept you, because this role-play will be a little over semi-literate. Therefore,
I am asking you to go above and beyond the ordinary boxy form. Add details. I am asking that your form include your username,
horse's name, gender, age, personality, loner or herd, harem/herd stallion, foals, height, color, markings, and a
photo of a real horse. So, I do expect that you give credit and post the link to where you found that photo you used.

∞ literacy ;

oh man, literacy! This one is BIG, BIG, BIG! I'll keep this rule shorter, maybe. Ha. Anyways, I
expect a good paragraph post at least, being seven lines with a size 85 font. No smaller, no bigger. This way,
I will know if you read the rules or not.(; Yes, I will quote your PM'ed example writing, to see what size you used. I don't
know about you, but I enjoy pretty posts, so this goes for your previous rule, too!

∞ spelling and grammar ;

grammar and spelling are sort of big to me, but the typical error is fine. Just try to make sure that you
have re-read your post for grammar errors and things like that. It takes a total of maybe five seconds if you
wrote decently.

∞ example ;

I ask that you send in a writing example of your general post, BEFORE posting your form, and wait for
that to be accepted before posting your form. So, what I mean, is send in your form via personal message along
with your writing/post example and wait for them to be accepted. I will post all the forms in one post, it's kind of an
OCD thing of mine....
