Um, excuse me. Wake up! You’re still alive, right? Uh, hello. Hello! Okay, you’re alive. That’s good. That was some brutal storm last night, wasn’t it? Oh, don’t be scared! I’m not going to hurt you! We’re all friendly here. Don’t worry; I felt the exact same way when I washed up on these shores. But the pride here is very nice; they’ll take care of you real good. Especially those talented Sanatores. Pride, you ask? Well, let me tell you this: you aren’t the first feline to wash up on these shores, nor are you going to be the last. And now that you’ve stumbled across our island, I guess I’d better tell you all about it. This island here is called the Island of Fugitives. Why? Because almost every cat here is a fugitive. Some have been parts of circuses, some have been pets, some have barely escaped the poachers, and others have simply been swept out to sea after living a life in the wild. This is our safe haven here. A place where we live out the rest of our lives in wilderness and peace. This island is a forgotten landscape. You’ve heard of the super continent Pangaea, right? Well, when Pangaea split apart into the continents we know today, one fragment remained behind, suspended in the Atlantic Ocean. From some of the felines here, I’ve heard that this place contains some of Africa, some of South America, some of Europe, and some of North America. At first, only the ancestors of our prey lived here, with no predators like us to keep them in check. But when a big cat circus traveling overseas crashed on our rocky shores, they adapted to life on the island, with an abundant food source to keep them happy. They formed a pride, and took in feline recruits that they found washed up on the shores afterward for various reasons. Our mission is to provide sanctuary for these abandoned felines, which is why we do our best to keep humans and other predators such as wolves out. After all, felines aren’t the only thing washing up on these shores! Anyway, I guess you’re one of us now. Come with me; I’ll introduce you to the rest of the pride. Everyone here has a story. What’s yours?

General

~All of Tess’s rules apply~
This should go without saying.

~No cussing~
Okay, I understand that it is in some characters’ personalities to cuss a lot. But young children visit this site. I suggest maybe downplaying the cussing (stupid, dumb, idiot, and dang are perfectly acceptable). Or, if you absolutely must cuss, star it out.

~No fighting in OOC~
Need I explain?

~No God-Modding or Powerplaying~
Meaning, please don’t control another person’s character. This includes auto-hitting. Here, I’ll give you an example:

Bad Post:
Derp scratched Herpinherp, watching as the smaller cat collapsed.

This post basically says the other person has no choice but to take the hit.

Good Post:
Without really thinking, Derp aimed a swipe at Herpinherp. When his vision cleared up and he shook himself off, he looked to see whether or not he made his mark.

This post, while definitely not preferable in terms of literacy, allows the other person the choice of whether or not their character received any injury.

~This roleplay is semi-lit~
I would like at least four good sentences, if not more. Describe the setting, the actions, the emotions, the thoughts, everything! Even with writer’s block, you should be able to produce something more than a two-liner.

~Proper grammar and spelling~
I cannot stress this enough! Please use proper grammar and spelling, especially while you’re in character. I understand the occasional typo (I might make those, too) but absolutely no chatspeak!

Characters

~Any wild feline species is accepted~
This includes big cats such as lions and tigers, and small cats such as lynxes and servals. No extinct or domestic species will be accepted!

~No Mary/Gary Sues~
Every feline has a flaw of some sort. They don’t win every single fight, nor do they succeed in every single hunt. And I’ve never heard of a feline who was ‘so beautiful it was a curse’.

~Genders and species~
Please keep them even. 1000 lionesses and one male serval is not a very realistic pride.

~As many as you can handle~
I mean it. If you can only handle one, that’s fine! If you’re sure you can handle ten, go for it! For me, four is a good number.

~Don’t make your characters mates with each other~
Come on, interact! It’s not that hard.

~Starting out~
You can start out as a cat that is already a pride member, or one that had just washed up on the shore.

Forms

~Make your own~
Usually, if you make your own form, it gives me an idea of how literate you are. Plus, I find that the variety of forms is actually more fun than having one set form.

~Include the basics~
Please include the basics. I would like to see, on every form, the following elements (but please add more as you see fit): Name, Gender, Age, Species, Personality, History, and Rank.

~Colors~
While colors don’t determine literacy, I would like to see at least some color on the form. Though please stay away from bright, florescent colors! Some people might find them hard to read.

~Details~
I understand that there’s not much detail you can put in names or ages, but for personality, don’t put ‘meet me’ or ‘to be rped’. Same goes for history. Don’t put ‘won’t tell’ or ‘growls’. As the narrator said, every cat has a story. And while your character might not want to tell the other characters, just because the other users know doesn’t mean the other characters will.

~Pictures~
Real animal pictures, please! No anime or TLK-styled. And while Fontmeme is acceptable, only put it in your forms and keep it to a minimum.

~Codeword~
There is no codeword. I will know whether you’ve read the rules or not, judging on how well you follow them.

~Names~
Please try for a unique name! I know that sometimes throwing random syllables together can be difficult, though, so I recommend Seventh Sanctum if you want a really unique name. Or you can always go to Google Translate if you want a name that means something in another language such as Swahili. I would prefer if you didn’t use names like Mary, Sam, or Lily. And please don’t use really long names like ‘Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way’. Just don’t.

And, the most important rule of all…

Have fun!

The Rocky Beach

Sure, I’ll give you the grand tour. This place we’re standing on is called the Rocky Beach. Now, for this one, it’s easy to understand why we call this beach the Rocky Beach. See all the jagged rocks? You’re lucky the tide wasn’t in, otherwise you could’ve crashed on those rocks and died. Sounds painful, doesn’t it? However, when the tide is out, we sometimes like hanging around these rocks. If you’re a Sentinel like me, you’ll be searching for new recruits on these shores, or threats that the Bellators will eventually get rid of. If you’re a Venator, you’d be searching for crabs, shellfish, or any tasty bit of prey that could be hiding in the crevices. Meanwhile, if you’re a Sanatore, you’d be searching for plants that could be used for healing. Or, you might just want to chill here. It is a good spot for sun tanning, and the place is absolutely beautiful on a foggy or overcast day. But when the tide is in, the water goes right up to the tallest of the rocks, and it is inadvisable to go there unless you want to go for a potentially dangerous swim.
Meanwhile, if you look over here, right between the rocks and the water, is the actual shoreline, made of sand. It’s only visible during low tide, such as now. Sometimes, this is a great spot for romantic couples, because there’s a great view of the sunset from this beach. The sky turns brilliant shades of pink, yellow, and orange, and the water turns a beautiful shade of blue-violet. I’ve never been here on a romantic excursion, but hey, I can dream, can’t I?
Almost anything can wash up on these beaches. I’ve seen plenty of dead sea life, and human shipwrecks. Big cats, such as you, have also turned up on these shores, and are recruited into the pride. And we also see humans and other predators such as wolves. Those are threats that are to be eliminated right away, as so the Concilium says. Anyway, I don’t want to spend the entire day on this beach. Let’s explore the rest of this island, shall we?

Image

Sentinel Mountain

Ah, I see you’ve noticed the huge mountain. That’s usually the first thing the new recruits notice. From this angle, it’s easy to tell that the mountain is capped with snow, which hardly ever falls on the island itself. I guess it’s the altitude. I wonder why more humans don’t show up because of the big giant mountain, but I guess this island is so forgotten, it never gets noticed. Have I ever climbed it? No way! Just because it’s called Sentinel Mountain doesn’t mean the Sentinels of the pride climb it. Leave climbing mountains to the snow leopards! But no cat has ever reached the summit. I’ve heard it was too high, or too dangerous. Anyway, it’s called Sentinel Mountain because it stands over the island, almost like the island’s Sentinel. The farthest up any cat has ever gone up that mountain is to the alpine regions. There, you can find Bighorn sheep or mountain goats. Go farther than that, and it’s just sheer cliff!
And yes, it gets pretty cold up there. I myself have never gone up it, but I ventured close. You wouldn’t expect anything cold on an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. But believe me, it was pretty chilly when I went near it! Sometimes, the Discentibi dare each other to climb it as far as they can go. Those little daredevils! But come on, this mountain is too cold for my taste.

Image

Forest of Fire

Why, yes, a pine forest in the middle of an island. No, I am not joking. This forest surrounds Sentinel Mountain. No, it’s not going to erupt in flames! It only does that when one of the trees gets struck by lightning. But anyway, this is the Forest of Fire. It’s not the biggest forest on the island, but it is the most serene of the three. Sometimes, you’ll find the bobcats, lynxes, or mountain lions hanging around here. Or, maybe some deer, moose, or elk. But be careful! Those moose and elk have mighty antlers, and only the largest and most experienced Venators have tackled them. For those who aren’t in the mood for meat, try a pine nut! Oh, please do! It tastes delicious, even though it’s not meat!
Have you noticed the breeze? It’s coming from the mountain up there, and it mostly hits the south of the forest. The mountain lions, lynxes, and bobcats have all said the crisp mountain air reminds them of home, but coming from Africa, I’m just going to take their word for it. Brr, it’s chilly! Yes, that’s the mountain air. Despite how chilly get gets here, though, it never snows. The only snow this island gets is at the top of Sentinel Mountain, while the rest falls as rain down here. However, during the hottest part of the dry season, it only takes a little bit for the pine forest to go up in flames. That’s when we retreat for Sapphire Lake, or the Forest of Jade. Both are such beauties; which one do you want to see first? Ooh, I like that place. Come on, I’ll show it to you!

Image

Sapphire Lake

So this is Sapphire Lake, the main water source of the Insula Pride. This authentic mountain spring lake is one of our pride and joys. Tell me, how many other islands do you know have lakes with mountain spring water coming from an actual mountain? To be honest, I’m not sure whether Sapphire Lake is a spring, or a lake. It’s so huge, it could be considered a lake! Oh, I see you’ve noticed the stream. It originates up in Sentinel Mountain, flows down into the Forest of Fire, and dumps out into Sapphire Lake. Pretty neat, eh? Oh, yes, this place is called Sapphire Lake because the waters are so serene and such a rich shade of blue that it looks like a huge sapphire is sitting right there. And the water is so cold and fresh, too. The only cold thing I like!
If you’re a Venator, you’d might want to know that prey animals residing in both the Forest of Fire and Sunrise Savannah gather here to drink water. See, look across that way, towards Sunrise Savannah. It’s a small herd of zebra!
And prey can even be found in the water. If you venture out far enough, you can find lots of fish swimming around in the lake. Personally, I don’t want to get that wet, but the Fishing Cats certainly take advantage of having their favorite food in here!
Oh, and here’s my favorite part. If you’re in the Forest of Fire, you’ll get a fantastic view of Sunrise Savannah across the lake, and vice versa. Now come on, I want to show you my favorite place.

Image

Sunrise Savannah

Ah, nice warmth! It’s so warm here! Just like my old home in Africa. Sunrise Savannah seems to go on forever. Anyway, you can often find lions, leopards, cheetahs, caracals, and servals such as myself hanging out here, under the acacia trees or perhaps on top of those rocky kopjes. As for prey, I’ve seen a variety of African prey animals here, including gazelle, zebra, impala, wildebeest, kudu, and various species of rodent. Mmm, my favorite!
Oh, and do you notice the trees? Some call them acacia trees, others call them umbrella trees. In any case, they’re a great source of shade, especially on some of the hotter days. If you’re a leopard, they are also good and sturdy trees to climb on. And the view, I’ve heard, is incredible! One leopard said he could see the whole island from the tree he was in! Being a grounded cat, I really couldn’t be bothered.
But check out these kopjes! They’re huge rock formations, with cracks that could be hiding small prey, surfaces great for vantage points in spotting larger prey (those cheetahs think they get all the credit when it comes to that idea), or just sun tanning. I spend most of my time here. Why not? It reminds me of my old home. In fact, it’s so authentic I never want to leave.
Why is it called Sunrise Savannah, you ask? Only that you can see the most spectacular sunrises here! Unlike the serenity of the sunsets at Rocky Beach, the sunrises over here are wild and fantastic. The entire sky seems to turn a fiery orange, and the very ground seems to turn black. However, it is just as beautiful, if not more beautiful! I could spend all day here, but I must show you the entire island.

Image

Forest of Serenity

This is the smallest of the three forests. I, personally, don’t see how it got the name ‘Forest of Serenity’, with all the birds chirping obnoxiously and the woodpeckers, ugh! I guess it was a bobcat, a lynx, or a European Wildcat that named this place. However, just because it’s loud doesn’t mean it’s not pretty. In the fall, the oak and maple leaves turn fantastic colors, just the same colors you can see in the sunrises of Sunrise Savannah!
For those who aren’t satisfied with Sapphire Lake as a water source, the Forest of Serenity has a few small streams trickling down it, dumping out into little tiny ponds like this one here. I personally don’t see why some cats prefer this water to Sapphire Lake. Maybe the walk is longer to get to Sapphire Lake from where they’re sitting? Anyway, you can also find prey here. There’s various species of bird and rodent, as well as some whitetail deer and rabbits.
This place gets the biggest seasonal changes. I personally find it most tolerable in the fall, when the leaves turn all those magnificent colors. In the winter, the Forest of Serenity gets boring, and hardly anyone hangs out there. All the leaves fall out of the trees, most of the prey hibernates, and most of the water freezes over, even though it never snows. During the spring, the leaves start to grow back, the prey reproduces, and those stupid woodpeckers drive me insane. During the summer, the leaves are full, the prey becomes abundant, and the streams get fuller, too. But hey, maybe you won’t find this place so bad. But coming up here is my favorite forest of all.

Image

Forest of Jade

This is the biggest of the three forests. And, with the temperature so warm, it’s also my favorite! You can often find the South American cats (jaguars, ocelots, margays, etc.) here, along with some of the Asian cats (tigers, clouded leopards, fishing cats, etc.) hanging out here. I don’t know where everyone is right now. Perhaps they’re at Peridot Clearing? Anyway, this forest is the most humid of the forests, and it is the most wild. I know, I know, I said I hated the noise of the Forest of Serenity, but at least here, it looks like there’s supposed to be noise. Plus, there are no woodpeckers.
Oh, yes, the prey here. You can find almost any species of monkey or ape in here, except for humans, which we keep out, and baboons, which prefer Sunrise Savannah. There’s also wild boar, turtles, some deer, and even a few elephants! Oh, yes, there are also caimans here. I know, that contradicts practically everything I said earlier, but it’s mostly mammal threats we keep out. You know, wolves, bears, hyenas, humans, that sort of thing. Besides, the caimans are too small to be a serious threat. Some of the more experienced jaguar Venators even catch them as prey! And the birds here are so diverse. There’s hummingbirds, toucans, peacocks, birds of paradise, oh I can go on forever. Pretty much any bird you can find in a rainforest, you can find here!
This jungle here is a little harder to get through, I understand that. There’s ferns, fallen logs, mosses, pretty much everything. You have to fight your way through. That’s something the Bellators know how to do!
It doesn’t matter what season it is; the Forest of Jade is hot and humid all year. Just my kind of climate! Except I might be happier without the humid part. Anyway, the tour here is almost over. There’s one last place I need to show you.

Image

Peridot Clearing

And we are at Home Base! Ah, so that’s where everyone was! Hello, how do you do, everyone? This here is our newest recruit. I’m just showing them the territory.
Anyway, this is Peridot Clearing, and that’s the Insula Pride. As you can see, Peridot Clearing is nestled in between the Forest of Jade and the Forest of Fire. You see that huge, hollow tree next to the Forest of Fire? That’s Redwood Cave, which is where the Concilium sleeps and makes their decisions. Then they announce their decisions right at the opening there. You know what I find crazy about Redwood Cave? It’s a tree. I know, I already said it was a tree, but I find it crazy that trees can be that big!
Over here is the Cave of the Future. This here is where the Discentibi sleep, with the Sedentems (and sometimes the mothers of the Discentibi) guarding the entrance. It’s very tucked away into the undergrowth at the entrance to the Forest of Jade.
Meanwhile, the Storage is right over here. There are two piles: one for prey the Venators dragged in, and one for herbs that the Sanatores will use. Mmm, who brought in that kudu? It smells delicious!
As for the Sentinels, Venators, Bellators, and Sanatores, we get to sleep out in the open. It sounds like a raw deal, but it’s actually not that bad. If it’s a hot night, we can always sleep near the Forest of Fire, and during cold nights, near the Forest of Jade is the best place to sleep. On a normal night, we sometimes pile up right in the middle, where the blend of mountain air and tropical air provides a pleasantly mild temperature. Now, just a bit of information before I introduce you to the rest of the pride.

Season
Autumn/Dry Season

I don’t know which of the two season thingies you live by, the spring-summer-autumn-winter one or the wet season-dry season one, so I’ll tell you the stats on both. First of all, it is autumn. The temperatures are getting colder in the Forest of Fire and at Sapphire Lake. And in the Forest of Serenity, the leaves are changing into that fantastic display of colors. Rainstorms are happening more often, which means it’s snowing on the mountain.
On the other hand, in Sunrise Savannah and the Forest of Jade, the dry season is drawing to a close. While the two landscapes are by default warmer than the rest, their temperatures are getting cooler, too. And on the Rocky Beach, the water itself is starting to get colder.

Weather
Mild

Oh, yes, it’s a pretty mild forecast today. No rain, no wind gusting, no overly hot areas. Pretty much any place is tolerable to go wandering around in. If there’s nothing to do, I’d suggest just chilling! The Rocky Beach is pretty much the best place to do so, unless the tide’s in, of course. Those with long fur might want to be a little more careful, though; I don’t know how hot it is for you guys, but I’d say at least a bit more than those felines such as myself with short fur.

Image

Concilium

The Concilium is basically the council of the Insula Pride. Made of three male and three female cats, these guys make all the decisions based on the welfare of the pride. And those lucky ducks get to do so in Redwood Cave. I’m so jealous! We have no set leader, so it’s basically these guys who rule the pride. The Concilium members can be any species, and usually, none of them are mates with each other. When a member of the Concilium dies, the remaining five members deliberate, and finally announce the new member. The new member then has the chance to accept, or decline. But honestly, why would anyone decline?

((When something like this happens, the members with their characters in the Concilium will PM each other back and forth, then PM their choice to me. I’ll PM the member with that character, and they’ll have the chance to roleplay their character’s reaction.

For the Concilium, all three females are taken, one male is taken and two out of three males are reserved, though if the people don't make their forms soon, I'm probably going to open the spots back up for other people.))

Image

Venators

These guys are the hunters of the pride. Normally, though there certainly are exceptions, the Venators are fairly large and agile cats such as leopards, cheetahs, snow leopards, and mountain lions. The Venators are sent out to find prey and catch it, and they’ll usually drag it back to Peridot Clearing. Any cat in the pride can hunt for himself or herself if they wish; however, the Venators are the ones tasked with hunting for the weak, sick, injured, young, old, or exceptionally-bad-at-hunting.

Image

Bellators

These guys are the fighters of the pride. They eliminate threats that us Sentinels find on the Rocky Beach. Usually, they dispose of the threat (wolf, human, bear, etc.) in the kindest manner possible, which would be to kill it before it wakes up. I know, I know, this sounds horrible, but what else are we supposed to do? Send it back to the ocean where it will die a slow death of starvation and possibly drowning? Usually, the Bellators are the more strong-hearted of the pride. The stereotypical Bellator (though there are exceptions) is a big, strong cat such as a lion, tiger, or jaguar. They are usually the ones with the most time to chill, since it’s not every day we get stuff washing on the beach.

Image

Sentinels

My rank! Anyway, us Sentinels are the scouts of the pride. We have one of the most important jobs: to patrol the Rocky Beach and look for animals that could either be considered a threat or a new recruit. When the animal we find is a threat, we immediately run to the nearest Bellator and tell them the details. But when the animal is a feline, we recruit them into the pride and show them around, just as I’m doing to you right now. Normally, though there are exceptions, the stereotypical image of a Sentinel is a small and very quick cat such as a lynx or serval.

Image

Sanatores

Where would some of us be without our talented Sanatores? The Sanatores are the healers of the pride. They take care of the sick, injured, elderly, and mothers giving birth. Sometimes, they go looking for plants in various places of the territory. There is no set image to a Sanatore; just a smart feline who’s good with herbs and friendly with other cats. Maybe it would be best if they weren’t squeamish, too. Meaning I would make an awful Sanatore. Anyway, the Sanatores are highly respected, almost as much as the Concilium!

Image

Sedentems

These are the cub-sitters of the pride, the ones who are ill equipped to do anything else. Well, it’s not just that, sometimes they just love cubs so much they want to spend time with them! They often give the mothers a break from constantly caring for their cubs and time to do their regular duty. Plus, they are often extra friendly to everyone else. Sometimes, the Sedentems will offer consolation to the sick and injured while the Sanatores treat them. I guess these guys are pretty important, after all!

Image

Discentibi (Singular Discentibus)

These are the cubs of the pride. Yes, Discentibus is just a formal name. We don’t say, ‘Look, this cat just gave birth to a litter of Discentibi!’ But anyway, we protect the Discentibi with our lives. After all, they are our future! And they’re living proof that we can stay and thrive on this island. Plus, aren’t they just so cute?

Image
Name:
Coretta. She'd originally been called Kit. However, she renamed herself after crashing onto this island.
Age:
2-and-a-half years.
Species:
African Serval.
Gender:
Female
Rank
Sentinel

Image
Size:
Coretta, like most servals, is a rather small fry. She's about the size of a medium-sized dog.
Frame:
Coretta is a small cat, yes, though she's got the look of one about to spring at any moment. She's got long legs, but unlike a cheetah, her legs are muscular, giving power to her spring. Her claws can retract, so they stay sharp. Her ears appear to be too large for her small head, and her tail is shorter than most felines'.
Fur Color/Markings:
Coretta almost looks like a cheetah in miniature. Her base color is a golden brown, becoming lighter from her back down to her underbelly, chin, and chest, the colors of which are as light as cream. Unlike a cheetah, she had several bold, black stripes running down her back, but like a cheetah, she has plenty of black spots dappled everywhere else on her body. She has only one scar, which came from a piece of wood she got cut against during her rough time in the Atlantic Ocean.
Eye Color:
Her eyes are a golden yellow color, and they almost camouflage into her pelt. Her pupils can contract to slits, instead of circles like the big cats.

Image
Personality:
Coretta is a very friendly she-serval. She's good at making friends, which is why she loves her rank so much. She is, in fact, friendly with everyone in the pride, even "those useless Sedentems". She is the kind of serval that will approach you if you're alone and ask whether or not you want to hang out with her. She can be a bit talkative, too, especially when you're talking about something she either really likes or feels strongly about. She also has a sense of humor and a sharp tongue, both of which sometimes combine to form sarcastic but funny comments or witty remarks to the very few she doesn't like. While Coretta is friendly, she is also squeamish, and the sight of blood on another feline makes her cringe. Of course, she is okay with prey being ripped apart, but she often puts herself in other felines' paws, and when a feline is ripped apart on the rocks...well...you get what she's thinking. Coretta is also a dreamer. In fact, her unofficial motto is 'I can dream, can't I?' She likes to make dreams for herself, such as getting a mate and going for a romantic outing on Rocky Beach at sunset. As for her superiors, she respects them, even if she doesn't agree with them. All in all, Coretta is an agreeable she-serval with a slight attitude.
History:
Hobbies:
Coretta very much likes relaxing on the beach or in Sunrise Savannah. She also loves to socialize with the rest of the pride, or making new friends.
Desired Rank:
She's very happy with being a Sentinel.
Dreams:
She dreams of one day falling in love and going on a romantic outing to Rocky Beach to watch the sunset. That's pretty much it.

Coretta likes quite a few things. First of all, she likes the pride a lot. They were kind to her, and therefore, she is kind to them. She also likes warm climates and the sun. Of course, she really likes Sunrise Savannah.
Strengths:
Like most servals, Coretta is very quick. She can dart around as fast as a whip and even though a cheetah can easily outrun her, she's pretty darn fast! Also, she can jump pretty high and pretty far. And because her ears are so bug, she has exceptionally good hearing.
Friends:
Coretta's friends include all of the pride. She has yet to meet a cat she doesn't like.
Dislikes:
Coretta dislikes cold climates (especially mountains), the woodpeckers of the Forest of Serenity, the Forest of Serenity in general, and rude cats.
Weaknesses:
Coretta is rather small, so she'd make an awful fighter. Plus, she's pretty bad at hunting, and she can't run for a long amount of time.
Enemies:
Coretta tries to make friends with everyone, and has no real enemies.

Image
Family:
Coretta had a large family, all of whom were sold as pets. Bella was her mother. Her brothers were called Chase, Lucky, and Spot, while her sister was called Freedom.
Crush:
She still has yet to find love.
Mate:
She would like a mate one day. As Coretta would say, hey, she can dream, can't she?
Cubs:
She's got no cubs, though she might want some someday.

Name:
Kaimira
Age:
4 years.
Species:
Mountain lion, cougar, puma, panther, catamount, mountain screamer, whatever you want to call it.
Gender:
Female
Rank
Member of the Concilium

Image
Size:
Kaimira is a medium-sized cat. Biologically speaking, as a mountain lion, she is the largest of the small cats. However, she is larger than some leopards.
Frame:
Kaimira, despite being a "small" cat, has the build of a big cat ready to spring. Her back legs are very powerful, and her paws are very broad. Her head, which is both blocky and aerodynamic, appears to be too small for her body. Her tail is long, her ears are small, and her sharp claws are able to retract into her paws.
Fur Color/Markings:
Kaimira looks just like the average mountain lion: seemingly very plain. Almost her entire body is a tawny-brown color, ranging from dark brown on her back to light tawny on her chin, chest, and underbelly. The tip of her long tail is black, and her muzzle is very dark brown: so dark brown, it appears black from a distance away. Her nose is light pink in color, and her paw pads are dull and gray from climbing the lower slopes of Sentinel Mountain.
Eye Color:
Kaimira's eyes are a dark forest green. They are the color of the leaves on the pine trees in the Forest of Fire.

Image
Personality:
Kaimira is a serious mountain lioness with a mind for her job. She takes her job as a member of the Concilium very seriously. She can often be found pacing back and forth, worrying herself with some decision the six cats have yet to make. She works to please everyone else, whether it is the other Concilium members, or the rest of the pride. She is open-minded, ready to hear what the other Concilium members have to say. However, when she senses one of the six is being lazy, she can turn very angry! Because of this obsession with her job, Kaimira has often been called unfriendly. She is okay with making some friends, but would prefer to just stick with a band of close friends, instead of an entire network of friends. She doesn't take a joke very easily, and can quickly become mad if the jokes were about her or the pride. She is an intelligent cat, and can think of solutions to help out with the pride's problems. Deep inside, she believes every cat is worth something, and she tries to get to know another feline before judging. All in all, Kaimira is serious and dedicated to her job, though she does have some room for compassion under her tough skin.
History:
Kaimira was born to a small litter of two in Yellowstone National Park. Her parents cared for her very sincerely, and she grew very fond of her littermates. When she grew up, she sought of a territory of her own. However, her new territory was already owned by a wolf pack. Not wanting any competition for food, the wolves chased the poor feline out, and she unknowingly wandered across the park boundary. She was picked up by poachers who desired her pelt as a trophy. However, the truck, which was heading for the east coast, suddenly caught fire. Miraculously, Kaimira managed to escape. She was running wild in the Oklahoma countryside when a tornado swept her south to Texas. The presence of coyotes and other mountain lions pushed her into Louisiana, where a hurricane struck and sent her out to sea. From there, she washed up onto the island, where she finally found a place to call home. (Possible short story might be written).
Hobbies:
Kaimira likes to see what she can do to help the pride. When she can't find anything, she often goes for a run in the lower regions of Sentinel Mountain, where she exerts her energy in leaps and bounds.
Rank Desired:
Kaimira already has what she wants: a place in the Concilium.
Dreams:
Kaimira dreams that the Island of Fugitives would become the perfect sanctuary for lost and abandoned felines. Luckily, her dream is quickly becoming a reality.

Image
Likes:
Kaimira likes, first of all, the pride. Being a Concilium member, she feels like it is her duty to care for them. She also enjoys mountain/forest scenery, which is why she often frequents the Forest of Fire.
Strengths:
Kaimira is a balance of power and agility. She can snatch birds from the air if she wanted to, and back in her old Yellowstone home, she once brought down a very small bear (she vows never to do it again, especially since there are no bears on the island). Her greatest strength in her agility. She can leap very far and very high, and she takes pride in this ability.
Friends:
So far, Kaimira has made no specific friends.
Dislikes:
Kaimira dislikes lazy cats, especially lazy cats with power. She feels like they are not doing their job properly, and they are usually on the receiving end of her anger. She also dislikes heat, preferring a cold environment.
Weaknesses:
Kaimira's biggest weakness is her stamina. While she can run, she can't run for very long, or else she'll get very tired very quickly.
Enemies:
So far, Kaimira has made no specific enemies.

Image
Family:
Kaimira's mother was called Zaltana. She cared for her two cubs like the best mother in the world. Kaimira's brother was called Jior, and he and Kaimira shared a special bond that lasted beyond the time they split apart.
Crush:
Kaimira has no crush yet. She needs a male to catch her eye in order to have one.
Mate:
Same deal as with the crush thing.
Cubs:
Kaimira sees herself as too busy to have cubs, though perhaps someday.

Image
Name:
His name is Iatzen.
Age:
3 years.
Species:
Fishing Cat.
Gender:
Male.
Rank:
Venator.

Image
Size:
Iatzen is roughly Coretta's size, though slightly smaller and stockier.
Frame:
Iatzen looks like a buff house cat. Not the usual build for a Venator. He is stocky and short, and pretty muscular for his size. His paws are rather large, and his claws are sharp for grabbing slippery prey. His head is pretty large, too, though his ears are rather small.
Fur Color/Markings:
Iatzen looks like a fish. His base color is silver, changing very little in saturation until you go down to his chin, chest, and underbelly, which are light gray; almost white. He is dappled all over with black spots, and black stripes on his forehead. More often than not, he is wet, giving his either the slim, shiny look of a fish, or sometimes the spiky look of a sea urchin.
Eye color:
Iatzen's eyes are a dull gray color. Not silver. Not metallic. Just gray.

Image
Personality:
Iatzen is a little bit of a shy one. He tries to be polite, although it sometimes ends up badly, either for him or for who he's helping. He is often very sincere and tries to speak his mind, though his feelings are a little harder to find, especially if he thinks his feelings would hurt anyone. He is a caring cat; when someone is feeling weak, sick, or injured, he tries to catch the biggest fish in the lake for them, especially when that sick cat is someone he really cares about. He can be pretty shy at times, sometimes stuttering or looking down while speaking to other cats. But he does enjoy their company. He just doesn't know if he'd gotten the right words out. He wants to please everybody, and that shows in the fish he catches, which are clean and the scratch marks on them are almost invisible. All in all, Iatzen is a fairly friendly though shy cat who genuinely cares about everyone.
History:
Iatzen was born as an only cub to two Fishing Cats in Indonesia. There, he was taught the ways of his species, such as how to fish. One day, he was caught by humans, wanting to send him to a zoo. Instead of plane, they travelled by sea, and they made the mistake of heading back to the U.S. by the Atlantic, not by the Pacific. A storm struck, tearing a hole in the ship and making it sink. Luckily, Iatzen was able to break free of his cage, and used his skill as a Fishing Cat to swim to the first land he found: the Island of Fugitives.
Hobbies:
Iatzen enjoys swimming, especially in Sapphire Lake. He can be found chilling at the shores, or perhaps in the Forest of Jade.
Rank Desired:
Iatzen is perfectly happy as a Venator.
Dreams:
Iatzen had no dreams at the moment.

Image
Likes:
Iatzen likes the water, especially that of Sapphire Lake. He also likes the Forest of Jade, since even though it lacks any water, it reminds him of home.
Strengths:
Iatzen, like any Fishing Cat, is an excellent swimmer. He is also pretty strong for a feline his size.
Friends:
As of now, Iatzen has no specific friends.
Dislikes:
Iatzen hates heat, especially dry heat. He also doesn't like being stuffed in someplace small, such as a cage.
Weaknesses:
As a Fishing cat, he is small, and therefore not the best fighter. He also feels pretty awkward on land.
Enemies:
Humans. Iatzen really doesn't like humans.

Image
Family:
Not much is knows about Iatzen's family. His parents are deceased, and he had no siblings.
Crush:
Iatzen has no crush at the moment. He isn't looking, either, though he would like one someday.
Mate:
Same deal as with the crush thing.
Offspring:
He never really thought about it.

((Just hace some details to add)
Avalyn

Image

*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*

Oɲ ƫhɛ oʊt ṩiɗe
Name: Avalyn, Most call her Ava
Age: About two years and six months
Gender: Female
Species: Amur Leopard
Rank: Sanatore

Ḿy Ƭaʂtɛs
Likes: |Sunny days| Snow| Clear nights| Stargazing| Her Friends| Helping others|
One of Ava's favorite luxuries is sunny days. She loves to just find a nice warm ray of sun and relax in it. She however prefers it rather colder. She likes snow better, this is most likely because of where she is from. Of corse like most cats she is pretty active at night, not much but she dose like clear nights when the stars are out. She loves to star gaze and where she from there are many odd stories about the sky. Many nights she will just bask under the glowing nights reciting the stories to her self. She is also quite social and loves to know that she had people to help support her if tough times arrive. She will always be there for a friend and she wants to know that she can count on another cat in just the same way. And because of her job she loves to help others. She finds it her goal (and job) to make sure the other cats are healthy and get treated immediately if they are hurt.
Dislikes: |Storms| Fire| Bugs | Strong scented flowers| Too Hot| Rude cats| Fish |When she can do nothing| Death|
Even though Avalyn likes sunny days and even then winter she still fears storms. She hates them with all her heart. Thunder storms, lightning, snow they are all the same to her. The fact is she just doesn't like it when her senses are cut off because of some natural disaster. The one thing Ava hates more then anything is fire. She is very scared of it. The smell, the color the way it moves. Everything about it. If you knew her history you would know why. She hates bugs, no real reason she just hates that they are small and have more legs then her. She doesn't hate scented flowers since she works with them but they do make her sneeze. Which happens to annoy her. She likes sunny days but when it's too hot it drives her crazy. She has a long fur so she gets hot quicker. She also grew up where colder temperatures ruled most of the year. Cats who deny her help even when they obviously need it get on her nerves. After you yell at her for helping don't expect her to come to your help again (though she still will). She hates fish, she just doesn't like the tastes. But the main thing that she hates in being powerless. When she can do nothing to help a cat and when they die in front of her that is the most painful and she hates it. She will do anything to save some one, friend or foe she hates death.

Ɯhątɛ Ṃaƙes Ṁe, Mɛ
Persona: Avalyn is what a Sanatore or healer should be. She is very clam and takes this one step at a time. She never rushes and never seems to be in a hurry. She can be a bit of a perfectionist and can be quite hard on her self when she gets even the slightest thing wrong. She has a rather good memory and after a while she'll remember where the best plants are and what they are used for. She can be rather stubborn at times and hates it when some one who's hurt denies it. She wants to do her best to help every one and she can't do that if their hiding whats wrong. She believes that a strong cat will show their wounds and ask for help. A weak cat will pretend they are ok. She can be a bit snappy when she working, she is dedicated to her job and hates to be bothered when she working on something. She can get stressed rather easily though and when to many cats are sick she'll tend to flip out a bit.
History: Ava was born to a single mother named Hakuri. She had one brother but he never had a chance to be named. the winter was harsh and he soon passed away leaving Ava as an only child. As a small cub Avalyn was very weak and small for her age. She was constantly getting sick. It was hard on her mother, being an Amur leopard they had no pride only each other to survive. Lucky for Ava her mother new much about plants and was able to keep her as healthy and strong as possible. That is also where Ava learned all she knows now. Eventually her weak and sick staged passed. She was old enough to leave the den and hunt with her mother.

For about a year Avalyn learned everything and anything from Hakuri. From all the plants and their uses to how to hunt and the basics of fighting which she was never good at. One day on a hunt after a some what large wild bore the clouds started to pile. It was summer and the year had been oddly dry. It took just one light strike to light the lush forest ablaze. Flames piled high very fast. Ava was son separate from her mother by a burning branch. She never say her again. She ran and ran and ran then... she woke up. She doesn't remember what happened but she woke up on the island with the pride. Some one saved her and she will never know who.

Ԏhe Ȱnəs Į Łoʋe
Mother: A lovely Amur Leopard Who raised her named, Hakuri
Father: She didn't really know him but his name was Servos
Siblings: Being an Amur leopard she was born in a litter of two but her borther passed away before he was able to be named.
Crush: No male has caught her eye
Mate: No one holds he heart

Name: Charos, some just call him Ros
Age: About two years and eight months
Gender: Male
Species: Lynx
Rank: Sentinel

Likes: |Summer Sun|Climbing| When he's right| Wining| High Places| Sunrises| Making others proud|
Dislikes: |Swimming| Rivers| When he's wrong| Loosing| Getting stuck| Asking for help| Letting others down| Sickness|

Ɯhątɛ Ṃaƙes Ṁe, Mɛ
Persona: Charos is a bit of a snooty cat. He can come off at first as a bit stuck up and obnoxious. He always is fight no matter what. He's right about where to hunt, what way to go and in any other every day matter no matter how obvious it is that he's wrong. He also can be a bit annoying when it comes to winning. He' a bit of a soar looser. Still, he really is a great cat if you get to know him. He just wants to make every one proud and happy to have him around. If some one tells him right ot his face or he even over hears that he's annoying he'll brake. He's a very sensitive cat at heart and its quite easy to tell when he's up set.On a brighter note when he's happy he'll just be a ball of energy and will never stop talking. He can go on and on and on about the most random topics. He loves to be around friends and make friends. He can be very dedicated to his job as a look out but some times he'll just goof around. He really does seem to have two totally different personalities at times.
History: Charos was born to a litter of three. His brother, Ventar whom he naturally hated. And his beautiful sister Stella whom he loved dearly. Stella and him were always very close, telling each other things no one else in the world would ever understand. At a young age their mother passed away leaving them in the paws of their father. After being weened very quickly their father taught them the basics of hunting and then how to fight. Venatar was a natural born fighter and quickly took the place as their father's favorite child. Stella was also an amazing fighter but she was never noticed, only Charos payed attention to his sister and noticed how good she was. He on the other hand was an awful fighter but a great runner. He also managed to teach him self how to sneak around. Still Charos quickly grew jealous of his older brother.

Over time the siblings split. Ventar went off with their father all day long and Charos stayed with his sister hunting and teaching them selves skills their father didn't bother to go over. Every day Charos tired to impress his father, he got the same response every time. "That's nice son, keep trying," Every response mad Charos want to pleas his father more and more. Still, he knew taking care of his sister was his main priority. One day something happened. Stella got very sick very fast. Charos ran to tell his father but the cat didn't care. Racing back to his sisters side he tired to help her. After a few days she passed away from the un known sickness. his father didn't even blink and then Charos exploded. He yelled at his father, he tolled him about how he and Stella fled and his last words were. "I hate you!" And with that he fled. Charos fled. He didn't know where he was going but he ran. After a few hours of running he looked back, his father and brother didn't come after him. Charos fell into a bundle of tears then... he woke up hear.

Name:
"My name is Venita, my mother had told me she named me that after the African goddess of love and beauty."

Age:
"I am 3 years old, old enough to know what I'm doing and young enough to keep up with the others."

Gender:
"Do I look like a male to you, no I have a feminine body and attitude so don't test me."

Species:
"As you can tell I'm a Tiger, but you want to know what kind? I'm a Maltese Tiger, probably the most rare to find having a 'blue' tint color to their coat. No illusion it's all real."

Rank:
"In the pride I'm a Bellator because of my endurance, strength, and size it makes it easier to scare off those unwelcome at this island."

Birthday:
"My birthday was on December 30th a winter birthday for a winter-like cat."

Image

Personality:
Feisty
This feline seems to have a little bit of an attitude when someone ticks her off or when a fight is needed. This shows her hard to get side making her hard to please if a male wants to make her his mate. This side shows more toward people she doesn't like than others who have gotten on her good side somehow.

Kind Within
Venita has a hard shell afraid of being hurt or showing feeling to make her seem vulnerable and weak, which is the last thing she wants anyone to think of her. She is actually a really kind hearted and sweet person once you get to know her extremely well she might show you some of her kindness.

Curious
Of course she's curious she's a feline! She likes to find out about the things unknown and is usually the one wandering off to see what's going on. She considers herself not 'Curious' but a Leader cause she thinks being curious is a bad trait to have when it can come in handy at times.

Courageous
Tigers are known for the Impossible in the Japanese culture which in other words this female is very courageous. Most males think this silly for a girl to be brave since they seem delicate and fragile but not this one. In order to be a Bellator she has to be brave and face the fact that she must kill unwanted visitors to the island.

History:
When Venita was just a cub her family taught her the ways of the world and how humans worked, hunting their coats for a fur rug or a jacket to keep them warm in the winter. She didn't really understand at the time she was a cub but once she got older she got her first dose of how cruel the humans were. She was just an adolescent almost one year old when her parents had gotten shot right in front of her eyes. She was with her mother walking around the jungle in China when her mother told her to hide, she listened thinking maybe it was a game they were playing. She hid in a bush her mother still visible as she heard a low growl coming from her mothers throat. Venita's fur prickling as she listened, never hearing the noise her mother was making as she heard a loud boom and her mother fell to the jungle's floor. Venita's little heart skipping a beat as she saw the two legged creature standing not too far away from the bush she was in. She saw her father jump onto the being like nothing had happened, she could hear her father's growling watching as he tried to swipe his paw across the human's face. The human shot him as well making her father fall to the ground, she crouched back afraid to move but knew she had to get out before one of these monsters tried to harm her. Venita ran for her life afraid the last thing she would hear would be the sound of the loud boom as it hits her uniquely colored coat. She jumped into the water, swimming as hard and fast as she can until her legs couldn't handle it anymore. She looked around nothing in sight making her feel weak and useless, wondering if maybe dying would be easier than to swim to a place she didn't even know. She could hear the sound of thunder and rain started to pour on her head, could this day get any worse for this poor feline?!?! Venita was hit by wave after wave making her feel like she couldn't take anymore air into her lungs just the ocean's salty water kept filling them up. She blacked out and arrived onto a beach which was unusual and not like the place she was from. She looked around getting to her feet as she realized this island...was only for felines.

Name:
"My name is Adahi, it's a Native American name...weird since I came from Africa.

Age:
"I'm 2 and a half years old, still young, fast and energetic!

Gender:
"I'm a male."

Species:
"Well I'm a Cheetah, a King Cheetah to be exact it's the more rare of the species only because I have a blended stripe down my back like in the picture."

Rank:
"In the pride I'm a Venator meaning hunter of the pride, since you know I got to be fast."

Birthday:
"My birthday is August 14th more of a summer guy..."

Image

Personality:
Sweet
Adahi is a really sweet guy who is willing to bend over backwards for just about any other cat on the island. He cares about anyone he's friends with and will do anything they ask him to do, even if they are sick and they need him to get one of the healers a mile away he'll run just to get them.

Protective
This male can be very protective over the ones he adores, which can be his friends, family, or even his mate. He will risk his life for any of those felines even if it may be the most dangerous situation he's ever been in...he'll protect them till he can't fight any more.

Friendly
Adahi is super friendly and will talk to just about anyone on this island even the old crabby people that care less about whether they live or not. He does not show one sign of shyness which makes him fun to be around for the most part of it, but may become annoying to others.

History:
When Adahi was just a cub he was taken into the zoo to be kept in captive so his kind wouldn't go extinct since his type of Cheetah is extremely rare. The keepers took great care of him treating him like a child of theirs and even had a show for him at the zoo so the public could see how unique he was. The owners of the zoo decided that they had to move across the ocean to the United States, their zoo being in North Africa. Adahi was extremely excited for the ride thinking he would be able to roam the ship with the humans and stay on the top floor instead of below where he couldn't see anything. He was dead wrong. Adahi was caged him, his whines and mews crying out to be freed as the keepers looked at him with a sadness in their eyes. He was taken below with all the other animals, their calls loud and making him even more sick than he already was. He fell asleep, only a little cat nap, but awoke to a horrifying sound. The zebra was barking out its cry for help as a little boy started to unlock all the cages, he would glance upstairs quickly almost as if he was frightened by something. The boy finally came over to Adahi's cage, making Adahi stand up quickly waiting to be released from the inclosed space. With a leap Adahi was free, he looked back at the kid who stood there in awe at first but hurried over to another animal. Adahi ran up toward where the commotion was coming from wondering if everyone was frightened the animals were freed or if there was more to the story. He noticed how the ship started tilting to one side almost making him lose his balance, he looked ahead seeing men run after him. He sat there wondering what was going on as the men heaved him up and over the ship making Adahi fall into the ice cold water. Adahi was shocked! He didn't know how to swim! He kicked with all his might, slowly losing his strength to fight the current that was pushing against his fragile body. He kicked harder, faster, trying to force himself further away and to safety. It was no use the feline was losing his strength, his vision starting to fade to black as the last thing he remembers seeing was the ship vertical in the air. Adahi awoke to a paw on his left shoulder, almost covering the whole thing. He yipped and was up in a hurry warningly hissing at the other animal, which appeared to be much more bigger than he was. The feline was feminine but her body could do damage, he observed her wondering what he next move was. "You're lucky you aren't a dog or human...you could've been dead by now you know that right?" she asked him with a look of annoyance. He swallowed hard shaking his head slowly, she was older...not much about a year but still knew more about where he was than he did. "Wh-Where am I?" he asked curiously but almost in a frightened way. The tiger smirked looking down toward her paws but then back up to Adahi. "You're safe no need to worry this is a place where only cats live in peace without anything else in our way." She admitted to him perking her ears to listen to what he was going to say next. There was a pause before he spoke, "So what do I do now?" he asked wondering if he was supposed to stay with her or flee. "Well my shift has not ended yet, but you can go explore the island make new friends that kind of good stuff." she informed him, sitting down as she watched the edges of the shore closely. He looked at her and nodded once for a humble thank you than slowly walked away wondering what new things he'd find on this new place.
