Stormfire nodded, "I've seen you around. I noticed that the other mares didn't seem to like you very much. You're welcome to join me if you wish. You are definitely a beautiful mare and I was going to fight for you if you hadn't slipped away. It's my pleasure to meet you Lightning " He told her.

Ginger looked in the direction of the voice of the stallion who'd spoken to her. "Not completely. I'm half blind in my one eye from an accident when I was a younger filly. I've been alone since I was injured." She said softly her voice low.

Raven looked toward Crowe, "come on out of the shadows. I mean you no harm. Perhaps we can travel together and maybe become a small band if you'd like" He said calmly

The four foals paused when Birdie spoke to them. Legacy spoke up softly keeping her head down "I'm Rain's Legacy but everyone calls.me Legacy, I'm the oldest then the next oldest is Arizona who goes by Ari, then is Pawnee Ghost who goes by Pawnee. He's the buckskin with the burns on his right hip and left shoulder and the youngest is Ray of Hope she goes by Hope. She's the youngest and the oddest of us in looks. She's the cremello with the pink nose. She and Pawnee need to nurse and soon. Ari and I are fine but we need to find a safe place to graze and a band that would take us in."

Romeo looked.at Ember "do you think you would want to take one of them in? I'm sure that they will be thankful for milk and a place to stay. " He replied as he nuzzled her shoulder softly.

River nodded and sighed, "I may just join your band if your father and his lead mare will accept me." She told Nebula as she dropped her head and tore up a mouthful of grass and nibbled at it.

The silver bay eyed sighed and shook her head a couple times. She was focusing more on her son now, as well as Pozaroo who was definitely too young. Cascade wasn't quite old enough to leave yet either. She then moved over to Thunder, not trusting that stallion...She didn't know what kind of stallion that stranger was. Therefore, she stuck close to Thunder, and was glad when Macchiato came closer.

The bay foal with the amber eyes didn't even notice when his mama left. Matcha came over to him, and made sure he didn't see. Macchiato also came over, and he stared up at the gelding a moment. He looked at him and said "Hi," with a small sound like a giggle.

The golden-tan dun Tobiano nodded as he looked down at the foal. He and his mother gathered the colt to the rest of the herd. It was night now, so they needed to all gather together to make sure they'd all be safe. Especially foals and any of the much younger members.

The gorgeous dun mare nodded as she looked at him, saying "I thought they'd be different...Well, I don't know, not different, just... nice. I thought they'd be nice and protective, because they are in a herd. The moment I made my choice to call to you, though, they all turned on me so to speak. Even this one younger mare was being mean...and hypocritical. She herself just left the herd too..." she said with a snort. She then nodded her head up and down a couple times. She said "Of course I'll go to you, you're being so nice to me so why wouldn't i? Oh, um...I um...need to be covered... I'm in season again," she said, expecting he'd understand what that meant as he must smell it.

The ravishing red mare with darker amber eyes and white socks nodded. "I really like the little one, the cremello filly so...if she'll let me become her foster mother, I will. Oh...there's an older colt there too. I don't think he's with them, but he's here with us now, so...should we take him on too?"

The reddish brown pointed, back striped and leg striped golden mare nodded. She said "Okay, I can nurse one of them, so...I'll nurse Pawnee if he's okay with that. That's our lead mare Ember," she said. She pointed her nose towards the sorrel mare for a moment. "She's pregnant as am I, so...she could nurse Hope if that's okay." She gave a soft look at the oldest of the fillies there. Well, she was older than the colts too, so she was the oldest foal there. "Would you...and Pawnee want me to be like...your foster mom?" she asked Legacy.

The beautiful bay with the coronets, snip, frost marking, and brown eyes, sighed. He realized the sorrel mare was looking at him, so he wandered a bit closer.

The black spotted and eared white male let blue and brown eyes linger. He'd nodded and told the other he did sometimes miss being there. He'd also said Baxter was a handsome name; now, it was nighttime. "We...we need to find somewhere safe," he said to the other. He then wondered if maybe they could find Silvia and whoever she was with. "Should we...do you think we could find Silvia and whoever she's with?"

The silver bay mare had said that she'd been waiting for a stallion, yes. She'd then asked if he was alright with the fact she was fixed...Then she'd brought up that they could just adopt, if he wanted foals. Now, it was nighttime, and she made a worried sound. "Odyssey, I left my friend behind, and I really shouldn't have? Could he and his new friend join us?" she asked, then let out a breath. "He's a gelding, and his new friend smells like one as well. They wouldn't be any threat to your status," she said to the stallion.

The ambery eyed silver bay stallion had nodded to Lunar, though looked sad. He knew it was a sad fact but a true one...that many males got gelded. He'd heard mares could be fixed as well though. It wasn't as usual, but sometimes that would be done by humans as well. He'd followed the family, at a distance so Moon Sparks wouldn't freak out. Now, it was nighttime and he got a bit worried. They had such a young filly with them, though they'd clearly done well for themselves up to now. Shaking his head, he watched the mares, gelding and filly.

The brown marked white mare looked happy that the filly had decided to stay with them. She said "You can stay with us as long as you want. I...we might come upon a stallion soon though, since they're always around. If we do, and you're uncomfortable about it, you can run."

The black beauty with the swan neck marking and stockings nodded and stepped closer. "Oh...I'd like that a lot," she said to him. "I probably made it pretty obvious that's what I wanted...by following you around." She shook her head a couple times, then her gaze softened.

She stands there eating some grass there, her foal and Cascade staying near her. She was not that far from Hielo or the main herd, but still kept their distance from the lead mare and the gelding for now. She didn't talk with Lightning after the misunderstanding they seemed to have. She did notice that when the scent of the Lightning disappeared the bachelor seemed to vanish as well 'Yeah he got what he wanted, good for him' she thought to herself as she kept eating some grass.

Pozaroo - filly - 1 - stallion; n/a - tags: -

At first, she thought they were going to leave the herd, but no they just moved further away from the herd. She could still see the herd and Hielo there, but for now, she stayed near her mother and Cascade.


Marigold - mare - 6 - Foals; NPC colt, Cascade, unborn (6 months) - tags:

She kept away from the other herd, but still near enough for Hielo to see them if he so wanted to. As the stuffy scent of Lightning seemed to be gone, also the scent of the bachelor seemed to faint away.

Cascade - filly - 1½ - stallion; n/a - tags: -

She ate the grass with her mother, Magoo, and Pozaroo. Her ears perked toward the herd many times as she was not sure how the lead mare would accept them being still there after what happened earlier. Her mother already warned her that Lead mare has the decision-making power, to even kick the mares or even band stallion away if she doesn't like them.

Romeo's Herd

Frost - mare - 7 - foals; Nebula, Wisp - tags: -

She stayed near a tree, her pelt touching the bark as she took some small horse snaps, but still alert for her surroundings. Her ears perked as she looked at the new foals which had come from nowhere, but sadly she may not be a big help to them. She had already a hard time getting enough milk for her own colt, and she could not likely have enough milk for two.

Nebula - filly - 2 - stallion; n/a - tags: River

She flicked her tail a bit "We can't be sure if we don't try..." she said to her then looked up to the sky "Anyway I need to go back to the herd, it's getting late and my mother I think is already noticed me being gone..." she said to her "If you want to join me, you could follow me then..." she said to her.

He lay on the grass near the tree and almost at his mother's feet. He had not yet taken a talk with the other foals, as her mother thought they could need time to get used to the herd for now, before getting to know them better.

Loners

Goldmoon - mare - 3 - Foals; open - tags: open

She walked somewhere very far from her herd or former herd, she did not see any horses anywhere which was good, but it made her a little nervous as this was her first ever night out alone. She walked over to a tree with some bushes around and stood there to relax a little bit.

Puraido - Bachelor - 3 - mares; open - tags: Charmer, Ginger (Changing his name to Puraido (means pride) so he could not be confused with the colt)

He looked at her "I see, did you get kicked out of your herd because of that injury?" he asked her curiously "Oh I am Puraido, the other there is my half-brother Charmer" he said flicking his tail a bit to look at the trees behind him to see the other young bachelor "We were also just kicked out of our herd...pretty much still learning o be out alone in night without the herd's safety" he said with a sight "So who are you?" he asked.

He watched his half-brother talking with this mare there, he himself seemed a little awkward to get near the mare. Anyway, he was not sure how could he even speak to the ladies, what could they want to chat about, mostly mares were unsure near bachelors.

Moon Sparks - mare - 10 - stallion; open - foals: Lunar, Ace - tags: -

She led her family further away to the stallion, but still she was aware of him following them, she was not sure if she liked it or not. She took a stand middle of the fields, there were not much of trees nearby, but the open grassy area was pretty easy to see if anything got close to them. She usually took the guard role in the early nights, and then either her daughter or son took the rest of the night to guard so there was always someone awake at night. She kind of hoped for the stallion to fast asleep, so they could sneak away from his watch. She was not a young mare anymore who could not control their instincts, she was not being covered over for years after getting Ace, so she was pretty good at controlling herself.

He took some grass to eat as he looked over to the stallion still following them, his sister seemed to be getting tired so the black mare was just half sleeping near their mother who was keeping the guard like she seemed to do every night.

She took some grass, before looking up to the night and started to feel tired of the day. As her mother seemed to take the watch, she decided to take a small snap next to the older mare, her foal already lying on the grass under her legs.

Secret - filly - 2 months - stallion; n/a - tags: family

She is currently lying almost under her mother and near her grandmother. She felt safe around the older mare watch, even if she did know the stallion lurking around still.

Melody and I planned for Seneca to approach or be approached by Matcha. Marigold can still be there too, if she's willing to be near Matcha. But Matcha, Seneca and Kalondra were pre planned to interact.

Her ears focus on the older mare as the mare started to talk since she was focusing on the area she had led them to for the night. Freya hadn't been to this area yet since she was originally sticking to the opening so she is a bit unsure and nervous but not as much as she would have been if she was alone. A small sigh of relief comes from her when she was told she didn't have to go with a stallion if she wasn't comfortable around him and lowers her head as she responds, "That's good to know, thanks"

Stormfire gently nudged Lightning in the shoulder "are you sure this is what you want? I may not be a seasoned band stallion but I will make you my lead mare. I will keep you and any of our foals safe" He said then looked toward the cops of trees "come with me and I'll help with your heat" He added

River nodded "well then lead the way Nebula. I'll talk with your lead mare later and see if myself and my unborn foal will be welcome in your band" She said

Legacy looked at Pawnee "we would be ok with that. Do you think his hip and shoulder will scar?" She asked then looked at Arizona and Hope "what about Hope? She's the youngest and except for us she is all alone"

Raven looked at Crowe "Well then welcome I'm Raven I've glimpsed you a few times. Would you be interested in being my lead mare?" He asked

She stayed there half sleeping when she noticed a movement on her right, perking her ears to her daughter and the stranger's mare "Hmm, Nebula, where you? You could not wander too far..." she said to her with a gentle voice then looked at the mare "Well only Ember can answer for that question..." she said to her with a shake of her head "Oh yes I am Frost and the colt is Wisp..." she said to River not welcoming her just yet as she was still need to be accepted by the lead mare. She likely didn't need to be accepted by Romeo as he was a stallion and likely he could accept any mare.

She nodded to her and then walked over to the small herd on the grassy area. She saw her mother staying near her younger brother Wisp. She was closer to them so she walked to her first "Mom..." she said to her "I found a lost mare, she wants to join the herd, do you think Ember will accept her?" she said to her mother then turned to River "River this is my mother Frost and the colt Wisp" she said to River then turned back to see the lead mare there "Oh I see...well we better go to the lead mare now, come on River" she said to her as she started to move to the lead mare "Ember?" she called for her.

The gelding clearly didn't either, but the sister had spoken to him. The gelding's sister, the other mare, had spoken to him. He felt she trusted him a bit, at least, and the filly didn't seem to care. She was too young to really understand it, he expected.

The brown marked white mare twitched her ears, and flicked her tail back and forth. She noticed her filly kept yawning, so she glanced around for a moment. They needed to find a place, and soon...She sighed and shook her head, then looked to the other filly. She nodded as she looked at her, saying "You're welcome." Just as they'd each spoken, she thought she smelled two stallions and a mare...She paused a moment, but three horses meant protection. She said "Freya, I think I smell two stallions...but there's also another mare."

As they walked, night began to fall and her anxiety rose as the sun sank. Her nostrils flared, and she drew in the scent of a herd. Her heart racing, she pawed at the ground and uttered a soft whinny. Seneca sidled closer to her filly, afraid of the others.

He was delighted at the compliment from Winter, but he nodded at the pressing issue of the nighttime. "Yes, let's see if we can track them down. Didn't she head this way?" Baxter scented the air and started off at a trot. In the same direction Silvia had left, he found the pair a few hundred yards away and quickly upped his pace to a gallop. "Hey there! Mind having two more?"

As if on cue, the two geldings emerged over the crest on the small hill of the valley. As they approached, the Paint Horse asked. Odyssey replied, "Of course, I can protect all of you. You are welcome with me."

Uncertainty flashed in her eyes when Lili mentioned smelling three horses, two of which are stallions. She sniffed the air herself and while she could catch the scent of horses, Freya isn't experienced enough to tell the difference between the scent of a mare or stallion yet. The small filly falters for a moment before continuing to follow the taller older mare.
