(Ha ha! I'll have Cocoa or Indian snatch one of your mares, Chemical, or anchor.)
(Suki could find Indian{or other way around}, and Cocoa could find Dream?)

Rodeo got to the top of the hill, looking around. She spotted two trees next to each other and walked in that direction.

To stay behind Rodeo, Holly grazed every once in a while before catching up with the older mare. She flicked her scented tail happily.

Cobalt trotted over and stretched a muzzle out in greeting, snorting softly. He flicked his black tail as his chestnut bolt shone highly as he let his brown eyes scan over her, flicking an ear back at Dahlia.

Indian looked out, looking for any other horses. He walked over to Desi and started grooming her gently.
Gypsy snorted.

Cocoa looked at Royal and around the area. He looked back at Royal and walked over to her.

Snowflake heard a nicker reply back to her whinny and she nickered out. She stopped trotting and waited for a reply from the stallion.

DAKOTA'S WILDFIRE ~ Bay Tobiano, 5, Mare, Alone

ROYALTY ~ Bay Varnish Roan, 6, Mare, Cocoa

Royal lifted her head and started grooming him. She was relaxed, just keeping her guard up still as she watched him. He was a bit young to be a lone bachelor.
ROSE GARDEN ~ Chestnut Manchado, 4, Mare, Cobalt

Rose sniffed his muzzle, then lipped at it. She accidentally bit it, though gently. Her deep brown eyes were kind, though energetic and playful.
DESTINY'S DESIRE ~ Dunalino, 3, Mare, Indian-Gypsy

Desi looked at Indian, swiveling her ears back and forth. Her light scented tail flicked around her back legs as she returned to grazing.
VELVET SWEETHEART ~ Flaxen Liver Chestnut Splash, 6, Mare, Alone

BATTLE CRY ~ Bay Tobiano, 5, Mare, Alone

LIGHTNING BUG ~ Blue Roan, 7, Stallion, Snowflake

Firefly kept following the sound, letting out a whinny in return again. He trotted through the trees until the white mare came into view. He stayed in the trees for a second, studying the mare, though she could probably see him. His ears swiveled back and forth.
COWBOY HEART ~ Dun, 8, Stallion, Holly-Rodeo

Cowboy nudged Holly after her grazing for a few minutes. He tried to stay behind both of them, but had to stop and watch over both when Holly stopped to graze. They got to the 2 trees, and Cowboy stopped to look over both his mares.

Cocoa snorted and continued to groom Royal back. He flicked his ears and listened for any noise. He let is brown striped tail flick.

Cobalt snorted and rubbed his nose against his leg, shaking his mane. He looked back up at Rose and groomed her wither a bit.

Indian groomed the mare, content as he watched Gypsy also, flicking ears around.

Snowflake stopped and looked towards the whinny, seeing a grulla stallion. She snorted and looked on, just flicking her scented tail and going back to grazing. She snorted and flicked her mild scented tail again, flicking an ear towards Firefly as she grazed.

(I got to let Chemical get some of your mares, Fab. XD Cobalt and Indian seem to be trying to dominate every stud else! XD)

the stocky pinto stallion lowered his head slightly as the mare reached out to sniff him, a soft huff escaping his nostrils as she started to back away. four heavy legs carried vegas at a slow pace after her, head bobbing and ears back in a relaxed demeanor, though his dark brown eyes were live with interest, two molten pools swimming with varied emotions. his scarred velvet maw stretched forward as he reached spirit, lipping at the thin hairs of her forelock for a moment before placing a soft nip there, throwing his head back up and dancing to the side with fluid movements; dark gaze waiting to see if she would run in reaction to his attempting to claim her, or be fine with it.

four sharp pink hooves left gouges in the soft green earth as a cocky young stallion threw his long, elegant legs forward in a proud strut, cherry bay head held high and long, delicate oval ears full of interest as horses called out around him. a loud, confident nicker left his strong chest, slipping out from between soft rubbery lips as the colt searched for a new object to lay affection on. jack was not entirely looking to start a herd; he was still young, and full aware that having mares would draw the attention and therefore the wrath of older stallions to him, but this did not mean the young stud could not continue playing his little game, he just had to find a willing subject. early in spring, this was not the easiest task, but if he didn't try, he would grow terribly bored. better to keep himself entertained.

the quiet and the solitude were welcome to the violent appaloosa who had spent the last few days simply picking peacefully at fresh green grass, blissfully alone. no stallion or foals to bother her and disturb her much-loved peace, though she did not doubt that this would change eventually. the aging mare was still a beautiful one, and as she trekked later and later into her estrous cycle, stallion would surely be drawn to her by scent alone. but for now, she had peace. and she had solitude. and she had a field of lush new grass to graze upon until the next arrogant stud strutted her way. the hair of her multicolored tail was thick, bristly, and very knowingly[to the mare it belonged to, anyway] not helping with seclusion as it spread the scent of yet another mare in heat each time it swayed, brushing against dream's haunches and falling into place in a waterfall of black and white, chasing away ever-persistent flies. they were not nearly as aggravating as what was to come.

satsuki had never liked being alone, so now since her former band stallion had passed away and his mares decided to part ways, the gentle little mustang was searching for a new herd. a soft whinny would leave her bay muzzle every few yards she traveled at a lazy pace; calling out to any stallion in the vicinity, trying to make her presence known so that she could settle herself into a new herd instead of stand alone in an empty field. the silence was gnawing at her already, the solitude, the lack of other friendly faces. suki simply was not built to be alone, she craved friendship, craved the company of other equines and the protection that a stallion allowed. after all, horses were herd animals- she figured the craving normal. the need for companionship. satsuki had never been a hard mare to manage; simply give her a herd to coexist with and a foal to raise and the kind-mannered mare was satisfied.

a very demanding, loud nicker was thrown from the stocky palomino mares' maw as her nostrils flared, taking in the unmistakable scent of stallions in the area, and she had gone far to long with out the attention of a handsome stud. her silky cream-tinted tail flicked violent against her velvety haunches, spreading the knowledge that she was in was in the later stages of her heat cycle to the world. two pale blue eyes scanned the bright, life-filled world that she had found herself in as of late, far from the land in which she had been born, and even farther from where she had been separated from her last stallion, the young stallion whom appreciated her as she expected to be appreciated from every equine she came across. jackson had been born and raised a spoiled princess, and expected to be treated as no less now.

thinking back, mary couldn't remember ever not being in a herd- once she left her fathers' she was in several different stallions' bands, but never had she been alone. it was always right from one to the next via getting snaked or her stallion losing a battle- this was a new feeling if freedom that she was not used to, and while she loved the ability to traveled where she wanted to instead of following the lead of a stallion and his lead mare, the quiet was getting tedious. perhaps another mare would offer company should she be able to stumble across one, or perhaps another stallion would find the young dun mare before that. not that she would really resist should the attention of a stallion be directed to her; though she had spent so many weeks now traveling by herself, not having obey the order of a lead, it was not entirely something she wanted to give up. a little huff of air escaped flared nostrils- a sigh, leaving her dark maw as young mary struggled with the choices laid before her.

roulette's muzzle was lowered to the ground, grazing peacefully as the world came to life around her. she could hear birds, calling out eagerly as the sun climbed higher and higher into the blue sky behind her. a low rumbling filled the air- one which young roulette was very familiar with. the sound of stallions and mares alike, calling out to one another, searching for herds. homes. roulette herself was seeking a stallion- her poor isaac had passed away in the winter months, and as soon as the snow began melt his remaining mares had split up, leaving to find new herds. the beautiful palomino mare lifted her head, oval ears twitching as she took in all the different sounds. she was a young mare, a naive one, willing to follow any stallion that pranced by. roulette let a soft nicker drip from her velvet maw- calling out to any nearby equines, telling them she was here, telling she was tired of being alone.

Dahlia walked up to the other mare, curious about her. She sniffed at the other mare's shoulder, not quite touching her. She seemed to tense up again, getting ready to step back quickly just in case.

Rose is sweet and mothering with affectionate feelings, she will never put herself before her foals and will always make sure she's fair with how she treats those within 'her' herd. Rose doesn't enjoy being bossed around and will take every day as it goes, if she must go through it everyday she will.. or, the pretty little arab will throw away the herd, if that means screaming out for hours on end to attract other males.

Rose // Mare // eleven and a half years old // Arabian // 15 hands //  Heat stage 3 // no herd // tags; open

A pretty bay rabicano arabian made her way through the trees of the woods. She was listening cautiously, but not worried much, she'd not seen many 'older' males, and having only seen younger males she'd managed to get away from two, a 5 year old male and a 7 year old male. Simply because she was older, she was arabian and she was smarter. She loved herself really, she was the second fastest breed in the world under the thoroughbred, and she could run for long periods of times without tiring unlike many other breeds which meant unless she wanted to join the herd a stallion would soon need to give in, even, if he were older than herself. Her speed would outwit the male allowing her an escape route no matter what he did. Course, if a stallion wanted an arabian, they would know this and would know snaking was not an option unless the arabian was already injured from something. Arabians were not excellent in fighting off other males, but their speed and quick movements allowed them 10 times as many hits as any other male would gain which would leave most males confused to what to do next. Hence the reason her father had so many mares of many breeds and managed to fight away all stallions at the age of 7. Even the older males who came thinking 'because they were older' they'd win, his quick movements and fast speeds allowed him time to confuse the males.

She grinned, curious if there were any arabian males left other than her half brother Death. He was off somewhere propably, he was born a year before her so he might still be alive with a herd. She shrugged briefly and continued to trot through the trees until she brought herself to a small meadow. She looked around the meadow and flared her nostrils, with a gentle snort she released the air she once sucked in and shifted her nose down to her leg nipping and rubbing her nose against it to relieve an itch. She scrunched up her nose as she smelt a dead animal, she glanced back, a fox, she payed little attention to the carcass and simply trotted off towards the creek bed. The mare arrived by the water and lowered her muzzle, allowing her lips to gather up the water occasionally making a slurping sound. As the mare lifted her nose water dripped from her fine muzzle before she pricked her ears in worry, she turned to the dead animal and watched cautiously as a cougar made it's way over. Though it's interest lay with the carcass, the mare flared her nostrils and jumped the creek and flagged her tail with a small buck she elevated her body into an uphill trot, extending her legs out and taking time before lowering them, making it seem like for a time she was floating with each step. As the lion grabbed it's meal, it's beady eyes watched her, blood drizzled from the sides of it's muzzle and with a small growl the mare took off, cantering swiftly, each step like she were flying as she moved into a gallop. Full speed ahead, in time the mare slowed, her breath fast but within minutes slowed down allowing her to regain her energy. Within 5 minutes she was grazing, not a single breath out of place, she was calm, not yet even sweating, but her sides heaved slightly. In time her sides dropped and no longer moved much other than her regular breathing. She listened cautiously and grazed continuously.

Pompeii // Mare //  six years old // Arabian // 16 hands // Heat stage 2 // no herd // tags; open

The blue roan Rabicano mare walked contently along, each step lifting up water from the stream. A stallion was following her, she was not deep in heat and so deciding to walk in the stream would hide any trace of her, she occasionally stepped out and took several steps into the bush before stepping over a log and then dancing her way back to the stream, making it seem like she ran off that way. She would occasionally also step out and hit her lightly scented tail against a tree. The mare was young and free, she didn't want to be caught right now, especially by an ugly black quarter horse stallion. She'd met quarter horses before, they were so pretty, but this one... he was huge and ugly. She trotted along and soon came into the meadow, freedom! she galloped to a slow speed and then sped up as she came to a hill. She reached the top and looked at the hill which led to the large meadow which spread for miles. It was a long hill and you had to go down to get to the meadow. She groaned, it was steep and rocky and looked dangerous. She placed her hooves carefully. this was dangerous, but an arabian who was nearly always balanced, knew the meadow and hills and had gone down worse, she found it easier than running from a stallion. She trotted down it, not many would dare break a walk, she slipped once on a loose rock but didn't stop, instead when she was about a meter from the bottom she looked and decided simply to jump. So she jumped, on her way down she tripped into a small hole causing her shoulder to yank a few muscles, pulling several in her right shoulder. The mare cried slightly and then began a limp to the river. It came across as nothing when the mare realised she could canter. But little under 10 minutes later the mare found herself laying on her side in agony. Her muscles aching from where she'd pulled them. That's what you get for being cocky. The mare groaned and grunted but remained quiet, not wanting to be sighted just yet.

Soul // Mare // nine years old // Warmblood // 18 hands // Heat stage 2 // no herd // tags; Karma

The large eighteen hand warmblood mare made her way along plateau with her darker bay sister, Karma. She watched the mare and snorted at her warning her. Soul was in charge, Karma was just protective and was the one who shook off the mares who wanted to travel with them because their height and weight would mean strength and safety. The red bay mare made her way through the shoulder length grass and grinned, a fifteen hand horse probably would not be able to see in this. She was cautious, snakes were coming out and she really didn't want to be bitten. It was spring (?) summer would be heading this way which meant snakes, but she'd already seen a few goanna's snakes would be around. The quicker they got out of the grass the better. The mare shook loose her mane and swished her weakly scented tail. The mare stopped and kicked slightly with both hind legs as her sister bumped into her. She squealed and then turned her nose to her hind leg allowing her hoof to come up and scratch behind her ears. As she found satisfaction in her scratch the mare led off at a trot leading her sister to the forest, no doubt they'd find a stallion before they reached the forest.

Karma was grinning, watching as the long grass brushed under her muzzle, tickling her chin. As her sister stopped the mare bumped into her and grunted as her sister kicked her chest. Karma bolted backwards and glared at her sister but nothing else. She groaned and patiently waited for her sister to finish her scratch before Karma trotted off beside her, slightly back from her shoulder knowing Soul liked to be the 'leader'. The mare groaned and snorted softly, her chest a little sore a hoof print dust on her chest, but nothing major. She flared her nostrils as she smelt mares scents on the grass, not hers or her sisters, clearly others had been through here.

Death // Stallion // twelve years old // Arabian // 15.2 hands // Number of coverings // number of mares // tags; Starlit Dream

The chestnut male looked up hearing a mare calling out, she seemed merely a tad desperate for attention. She was young, very, which meant she'd produce him foals for years to come. The stallion turned his muzzle to his shoulder and barrel and nipped harshly pulling loose winter fur from his body causing his coat to look more ragged and untidy, not that he cared of course. Bobbing his head the stallion then pulled his head back and looked to the buckskin mare, a beautiful mare she was indeed. His interest grew but due to her not being in deep heat, he was not desperate. Instead the male watched her from the hill, like an eagle watching a rabbit, but with a much kinder look, a curious look in his eyes as he watched her. Alas the male slowly walked down the rocky hill, carefully watching the rocks around him before walking towards the tree line which circled the meadow the mare was in, he'd managed to see her over the tree line, now however he could not, but he was not worried, he could still smell that the mares scent was there. As he walked into the tree line stopping as a large log, was put in his path, being himself, Death refused to go around it. So with a single step back the stallion flared his nostrils and then took two steps forwards and jumping, his for legs coming up higher than he needed to lift them, landing about a meter away from the log on the opposite side into the meadow, it wasn't easy jumping such a large log from a stand still. The stallion managed a canter after the jump, but contently pulled himself back to a walk and then moved towards the mare. Coming to a sudden stop he turned his head to his back leg he lifted his hind leg scratched the top of his ear and his neck before pulling his muzzle back to the face the mare. Snorting softly he lowered his muzzle to his knee and rubbed it contently before simply taking a small mouthful of grass. He snorted softly and then picked up a walk, his ears pulled out to the sides showing no threat, instead curiosity. The mare was more beautiful than she looked when he was on the hill. Smirking contently he nickered and stretched his muzzle to her, pricking his ears in greeting before snorting and yanking his muzzle back, pinning his ears back and giving a soft squeal with a strike of his leg. With a sudden burst of energy he nudged her gently and then cantered off, bucking, snorting the stallion lowered his head and bucked again, ears pinned he snorted and then looked to her, curious if she'd follow. Coming to a halt the stallion turned his rump and faced her, ears flicking he snorted and called out rearing up striking his hooves showing off some what.

The large dark male walked along contently, his ears pinned back as he called out curious for females. He shook out his mane and nickered gently before stamping his hooves and trotting off. He gave a small kick but who said a warmblood stallion couldn't have fun? so with a small kick came a big kick, bucking as he cantered along, ears pinned back as he bucked again, glorious freedom of spring. He was still thinnish from the winter but would fatten up in weeks and by then, hopefully a reasonably sized herd. With one last final call he patiently waited for a reply.

(My mares are awesome aren't they? XD)
DAKOTA'S WILDFIRE ~ Bay Tobiano, 5, Mare, Alone

Wildfire came back to the river, going through it again. She snorted, letting her head lower to the surface of the water. This was where she had seen the thoroughbred stallion and his black mare, and she hoped he wasn't still here.
ROYALTY ~ Bay Varnish Roan, 6, Mare, Cocoa

Royal stopped grooming and went back to grazing before looking around. "We should get moving," She seemed to say before plodding towards the forest beside them.
ROSE GARDEN ~ Chestnut Manchado, 4, Mare, Cobalt

Rose shied away from the grooming, still not used to being in a herd much..
DESTINY'S DESIRE ~ Dunalino, 3, Mare, Indian-Gypsy

Desi walked away from Indian, towards Gypsy. She sniffed the filly and started grooming her.
VELVET SWEETHEART ~ Flaxen Liver Chestnut Splash, 6, Mare, Alone

Sweetheart grazed. Her flaxen liver chestnut coat had gained the shine as it usually did in this time of year.
BATTLE CRY ~ Bay Tobiano, 5, Mare, Alone

Battle trotted along, ignoring te dust that hung to her coat.
LIGHTNING BUG ~ Blue Roan, 7, Stallion, Snowflake

Firefly walked up to her, letting out a soft nicker. He stretched his nose out to sniff her before grooming her. He could tell she was teasing him.
COWBOY HEART ~ Dun, 8, Stallion, Holly-Rodeo

(I need to let peeps have some of your mares too XD)
(ALSO, yeah go ahead Chemical! Umm.. I will have Cowboy or Firefly go after Roulette and the other go after another? I don't know yet, but have yours go after any of mine! Also, they all might be difficult a bit, but the stallion must be patient to get any of the remaining ones, unless it's Sweetheart as she's a really submissive mare when it comes to stallions, unless she decides she wants to be a loner XD)
(THE NICKNAME ROSE IS ALREADY TAKEN BY MY PRETTY ABOVE X3
ALSO YOU HAS FORGOTTEN THE PHRASE REQUIRED TO JOIN!!)

(XD Chemical, don't forget ya got your other little stallies! They need some friends too!)
(Oh my goodness. XD I wonder what happened to the other stallion rper. I am going to wait to have my stallions go after mares. I'm still getting used to so many horses! XD I'll get the new pics of my horses uploaded to the front! They are going to be so cute!
I find it funny how our longer posts always involve OOC! Ha ha! Silly us.)

Cocoa followed along after her, shaking his head and snorting. He followed behind so no bachelors would sneak up and steal his mare. The young colt was now very protective and responisible. He snorted and used his tail to flick flies away. They were such a pest.

Cobalt flicked an ear at Dahlia, just as Rose moved away. He nosed her softly and grazed at the grass, leaving her alone. He picked up his head again after a few mouth fulls, reaching over and starting to groom Dahlia. She was a sweet mare and kind, too. Cobalt enjoyed the mare's presence, just as much any mare he had gotten. The younger mid aged stud enjoyed having mares and preferred them over the bachelors, not for the desire of a herd, but by their attitudes. They were much more pleasant and less roudy.

Gypsy snorted and started to groom Destiny back, enjoying the presence of a horse of her gender. Not many mares seemed to be around much, but she had been watching a bunch pass. Her father never saw them, but he was only interested if they got close and came to investigate.

Indian watched her walk away. He flicked an ear, looking around for any dangers or predictors. He nibbled on some grass before following after the mare slowly as he grazed. He reached her flank and finished his mouth full of grass before grooming her side nicely and gentle. He worked his way to her flank, seeming to have no intentions of anything but grooming her.

Snowflake looked at Firefly before just continuing grazing. When his muzzle touched her, she brought her head up slightly fast. She looked over at him and sniffed noses with him, squealing and jumping back a little, not use to stallions. She was in her first heat and stallions made her jumpy still, even more now she was in her second stage of heat. She snorted and looked at him, not going to run. She had no reason or intent on running. She was well off where she was and wih him than alone.

Rodeo stood under the tree, flciking her tail. The mare could care less at the moment, and she wouldn't buge from her spot. She was getting on the older side of the wild horse life, and she didn't like going fast anymore. She was fiesty and a bomb waiting to burst, but she never did unless you made her fusterated, or challenged her for lead mare.

Holly snorted, flciking her scented tail around carelessly, shooing away the yearly pest. The flies. Her heat scent was basically not there for her, as she has had it for a long time, so the mare seemed to never notice it. This year though, it was different. She could scent nothing but her heat scent. Being around a stallion didn't help the young mare much. She always got frisky and flirty with stallions. The solid sorrel grazed, her small spear like blaze and her happy snip munched a the grass contently.

(I really need to go and shimmy to the front page to remember my mare's heat stages. XD)

Dahlia started to groom the stallion back, still not sure if she wanted to be in his herd. She figured if there was a stronger stallion she would just be snaked off anyways, so she didn't have to do much. She wasn't the type of mare to leave on her own for long at all.
