Drake walked along the edge of the park were it was separated from the side walk by a small stone wall. He sniffed the ground along the wall his tail waging slightly behind him as he walk. He soon stopped and looked over the wall to see Bella walking bye. He let out a friendly bark his tail beginning to wag more now as he got in a playful mode.

Bella turned her head and looked at the other dog, Drake. She smiled when he wagged his tail and barked. She barked back playfully and padded over to him. She turned her attention from her sad past to the playful dog in front of her. She bowed down to play and wagged her tail. She looked at him with her chocolate brown eyes, full of depression and despair. She tried to hide how she really felt.
