Gossamer caught the scent of Coriander, he didn't want to talk to him, he followed the deer, away from Coriander, Gossamer leapt at the deer but it bucked him off. Gossamer growled and ran after the deer, his feet pounding on the ground, he wanted that deer more than anything at the moment.

He probably doesn't even want to see you, Coriander thought. You're a jerk. He'll be better off if you never see him again.

Coriander cried for a while. How could he have been so stupid?

Gossamer felt a splinter in his foot, he winced and stopped chasing the deer, of course he had to get a splinter in his foot but maybe it was the consequence he got for leaving Coriander behind. He howled in pain and frustration scaring the birds from the trees.
