Cypress paused as a shiver ran down her spine. She was still terrified of water, but she tried to cover it up by giving her fur an awkward shake. It was polite to do what a newcomer wanted, to make them feel more at home. She forced a small grin on her face as she scanned the vast area. “Yeah, there are a couple.. calm lakes around here, clear as crystals. A few ponds, with a bunch of plants, but they aren’t good for.. for swimming, not really. And.. there’s a river around here. Not sure where but I’m certain I can find it.” Cypress shrugged as she named off the water places, then gave a flick of her tail as she remembered another area. “Waterfall- there’s also one if those, if that’s what you like better.”

Acero froze where he was, and mentally cursed himself. I wish I shared my sister's sensitivity. How in the name of the sky-dogs... wait, in the name of US, I guess, be so insensitive!? He asked himself. She was killed by water, no doubt she wouldn’t want to go in it again! "I'm sorry. I didn’t think before I spoke."

Cypress shrugged, slightly embarrassed. “Oh no, don’t worry about it. It’s kind of an irrational fear, I mean, it won’t... won’t suffocate me this time.” She shuffled her paws and stared at the ground. “I probably should have gotten over it a long time ago, but I can’t just.. get rid of it. It’s always there, nagging at my mind.” She glanced at the Warrior, her eyes reflecting his starry fur. “I’m just fairly uncomfortable with being around it, but if that’s what you want to do, feel free! I rather enjoy trying to climb the tall, lush trees that grow near the water.”

"We can do something else," he promised. He’d always loved the water, for whatever reason, but his flaw had always been his lack of thought before speech or action. "That fear isn’t irrational at all."

Cypress offered a small tail wag and smile at the former Warrior. “Anything you want. Trust me.” Her gaze returned to the vast meadow, the light wind ruffling the grass and making it ripple like the waves of a lake. She stood up slowly and stretched her legs for a heartbeat. “Go ahead and name something off the top of your head!” She winked, shuffling her paws. “We probably have it. Peace and serenity is what this place exists for. To relive you of your earthly burdens and let you soar.” She let out a soft laugh, blinking out at the land in front of them. “We could meet up with your friends, too. They’re around here somewhere. Positive.”

"I do have some family up here somewhere, haven’t seen them around yet." Acero tilted his head to the side. First thing off the top of his head. "Well...first thing that comes to mind is hunting, honestly. As a Warrior, I was never allowed to do it in my old Pack, but I picked up enough tricks from my sister Sira to at least know some basics."

Cypress blinked at the Warrior. He didn’t exactly have the best Hunter build, but not everyone did. Besides, this was the realm of the Sky-Dogs. There is no right or wrong. “Okay. I’ll take you to a better spot, I know of some Star-Rabbit nests over in a small glade.” The Trainee began to pad forwards, her translucent coat ruffled by the mild breeze as she trotted along the pale ground, her ears flicking back and fourth, listening to the sounds of her home.

"Star rabbits, huh? I guess there’s a heaven for all creatures," he commented with a small smile, and followed. "That’s the circle of life." There will clearly be much to explore up here.

Cypress giggled a little bit, though cutting it off short. She'd tell him about the.. other place later. He needed to settle in before any more news weighed on his shoulders. She ducked under a blooming, beautiful weeping willow and her ears swiveled. She raised her starry muzzle to the air, trying to catch a whiff of a scent. "Smell anything?" she asked, glancing at the Warrior curiously.

Acero followed her, breathing in the warm, yet refreshing air. "Rabbit, I think?" He wasn’t all too familiar with the different scents of prey creatures, but...he’d get there, sooner or later.
