Ryuko took a few steps forward and then halted, watching the pinto horse approach. She was happy to see that this horse was friendly, and she also noticed that the horse was a female. She stayed where was, watching Phoenix approach. Phoenix was younger than Ryuko by a few years. She pricked her ears when the younger mare clacked her teeth at her, a submissive gesture that most younger horses did when near an older horse. Ryuko wasn't going to turn away from this mare or lash out at her. She loved being in charge, she wasn't bossy and overly dominant but she did want to be treated with respect. Due to her personality, Ryuko doesn't always get along with everyone but as long as you were kind and respected her, she would do the same to you. When Phoenix stopped she took a few steps closer to her, close enough so that if she reached out she would be able to touch her. "Hey." She greeted, "Who are you?"

City stared at the paint for a moment, still very, very confused. Only bachelor stallion’s could keep alliances. Even then, those bonds were very fragile when mares came into the picture. A band stallion with few mares would surely never be able to sustain an alliance with a younger stallion. The bay let her eyes flicker over to the chestnut before letting her vision fall back on the paint. She was still very unsure of how to react to the situation. She had never been in a "shared" herd before. City swallowed and stood tall, even though she was still quite a bit shorter than the paint. She gave him a steady gaze before lightly bobbing her head, quietly thanking him for not forcing her to move. The mare spun around and started to walk, her black tail flicking behind her. She plodded along for a few paces before she realized that she didn't even know where the stallion even wanted her to go. "Well, my-stallion-that-I-still-do-not-know-the-name-of," She spoke without turning her head around to look at the paint. "Would you please direct me to where you will have me travel? Or shall I just wander until we find another stallion to join your alliance?" The mare's voice was very neutral, but City knew she was testing the stallion. The alliance was not at all a good idea in her mind, and she wanted to let them know. She had no clue how he would react. But the stallion had showed that he was determined to get her. Was he just as determined to keep her?

Mayhem's lip twitched slightly. She had been right. Well, she was always right, but she was right again anyways. The black mare pondered his proposition for a moment. It definitely wouldn't be the worst decision of her life. Mayhem's ears perked back up in a relaxed manner. "Eh, okay." She replied simply. "But don't expect me to move before I want to move." The mare gave him a stern glance to reinforce her statement before dropping her neck down to once again nibble at the grass. This was a great spot in her opinion. There was shade, a nice breeze, and plenty of lush foliage. Also, they were in a pretty isolated area. Mayhem was still surprised that Calcifer had located her in the first place... Oh well. He would be her stallion now, but she would certainly make most of the rules.

The mare broke her gaze away from the stallion as another horse descended towards the watering hole. After a brief glance, Calamity could tell that it was a mare. Her shoulders relaxed. This was great for her. Perfect. She thought quietly. Now, the stallion will hopefully go after her. After all, she's closer and prettier and... oh shi- The mare had been so focused on the new comer that she hadn't noticed that the stallion was on the move... Towards her. Calamity tensed as she noted the bachelor's confident demeanor. He strolled right on up to her, head high, and didn't hesitate to - of course - start flirting. The grey mare stood stiff for a moment, very hesitant of this stallion. Of course he had to trot over to her. "Uh - I was just getting water..." She said, practically stumbling over her words. A moment later, the mare dropped her eyes to the ground, lowering her head down a bit. "Sorry. I-I didn't see you come over." She mumbled sheepishly, shifting her weight around. Social interaction with bachelors was definitely not her thing. Calamity silently prayed that this stranger was kinder than he seemed. She knew that she could never outrun him if he turned out to be the cocky bachelor that he appeared to be.

(If you want you can have your mare find Calcifer and Mayhem)

Calcifer pricked his ears when Mayhem agreed to join him. He opened his mouth to say something but shut it at Mayhem's next statement and noted her stern gaze. Alright. He wasn't going to force a mare to something she didn't want to do...but he wasn't going to let her push him around. He looked around, watching their surroundings. They seemed to be in a safe place, he couldn't see any signs of a threat. They also had plenty of shade and grass to graze on, he was fine with staying her. The black stallion lowered his head and grazed, standing near Mayhem. He was happy that he had a mare now, and he was hoping that he would gain more before spring ended.

Kamina could see that the mare was nervous, was she afraid of him? She was tense and stuttering when she spoke. He was a cocky and confident stallion, and sometimes too reckless for his own good. Like any stallion, he loved mares, yet due to his personality and huge ego many mares didn't think much of him at first glance. He's scared away mares before, and he didn't want to scare this one away. If she did run, well he would resort to snaking but he wanted to try to persuade her to join him. He lost his last herd in a roundup a few years ago, and this mare was a chance for him to start a new herd. "It's fine, there's no need to apologize." He glanced back to the water hole, his ears pricking when he noticed that another horse had appeared. Their coat was white and easy to see, and he could tell they were female. Two lone mares? Today must be his lucky day. He nickered to Winter, inviting her over. Remembering that Calamity was there, he quickly looked back to her, but would glance over to Winter every once and awhile, not wanting to lose sight of her. "Anyways." he spoke, "What's your name? I'm Kamina!"

Cacao is a very interesting mare. This little lady is full of spunk and energy, not to mention an overdose of humor. She is bubbly and will just trot up to anybody and say hello. She is easy to get along with, but if you get her mad (which is insanely hard) she will get mad. Cacao likes to play-fight and loves to roll in the mud. She can be infuriatingly happy in serious situations. She was kicked out of her herd as a filly, and is still a loner. Since she is very social, Cacao desperately wants a herd or just a friend or two.

Hope this is okay c:

The black mare felt a tinge of victorious pride as she watched Calcifer bring his head down to graze near her. She liked this, just the two of them eating in silence. It wasn't very awkward in her opinion; she guessed he didn't have anything to say either. Mayhem enjoyed having a little bit of time to herself with her stallion before other mares joined in. She didn't even know why... She just liked the exclusivity of it. Mayhem waited a moment, soaking up the peaceful silence, before lifting her head up. "I can't be your first mare..." She said softly, hoping not to be rude with her next question. "What happened to your old herd?" Mayhem knew that the question might arouse something in the stallion, but the curiosity in her would have engulfed her if she hadn't asked. "I mean, you don't have to answer if you don't want to." She added quickly. "I just wanted to know..." The mare visibly relaxed her body, hopefully letting Calcifer know that she didn't mean anything rude by it.

Calamity was about to respond in some shape or form when she heard his nicker. Right away, she guessed what he was doing. Her eyes flickered up to the stallion once more. His head was high and his body square, interested in something. No. Not something... Someone else. Calamity's ears fell back, quite hurt actually. She was never accustomed to having stallions have multiple mares to "love". It was always just... Her and Boulder. The grey mare turned her head to the side of the hill slightly, neck still lowered. She wasn't going to answer his question. What would be the point? "I know you don't want me." She said quietly, bringing her tail closer to her body. "Go after the pretty mare.... I'm used to being overlooked." Her voice was a bit shaky, betraying how insecure she felt. The mare stepped slowly to the side, revealing the stallion's path to the other mare. Calamity wasn't quite sure if she wanted this stallion anyways. Well then again, she didn't know if she wanted any stallion... Because none of them were her Boulder. She kept her head low, ears back, and head bent around as she waited for Kamina to leave. They all left her eventually. Maybe she was meant to never have a home.

Calcifer grazed quietly by Mayhem, his black tail flicking every now and then. There was silence, but it wasn't an awkward silence, at least not to Calcifer. It was different. Being with bachelors, he was used to noise. Stallions sparring and fighting, calling for mares and mares responding. Spring was a busy season, so a bit of peace was nice. Hearing Mayhem speak, his ear twitched and he stopped eating once he heard her question. He frowned, and lifted his head to look Mayhem. He wasn't offended and he could see that Mayhem wasn't trying to be rude, she was just curious. "I used to have a herd. Last year I had a herd, a group of seven mares and three foals. A few months ago some bachelors attacked us. Normally bachelors aren't a problem and I can drive them off, but there were some older, stronger stallions in the mix. So they took away my family and left me with nothing." He responded. He wish he still had his family. He missed his mares and his foals, he hoped that they were all okay, and if he would ever see them again. He felt bad, that he couldn't keep them safe and they got stolen from him, but there wasn't much he could do. He was outnumbered and overpowered, he couldn't win that fight. "What about you? I'm sure you've had a herd before? So, what happened to them, if you mind me asking." It was fair, he told her what happened to him and in return she can tell him what happened to her old herd if she had one, but if she didn't want to talk about it she didn't have to.

Kamina frowned a bit at Calamity, who noticed him calling out to the other mare at the water hole. "What? If I didn't want you I would have left already." He snorted. What he said was true, if he wasn't interested he would have gone right over to that other mare but that wouldn't happen. Kamina would never leave a mare, especially a pretty one. Ah...I messed up... He thought as he looked at Calamity, trying to think of something to say but nothing was coming to mind. Her voice, the way her head and ears were positioned, he could tell that she was upset. "Yes, I am interested in her, but I am interested in you too. I'm not going to leave you just because another mare showed up"

Phoenix:
Phoenix raised her head as the mare drew closer. She was growing a bit more confident now that she knew the unfamiliar horse wasn't going to attack. "Hello." She murmured quietly. "My name is Phoenix. What's yours?" She was hoping that the older mare would be able to assist her in learning about stallions and the like. She also needed someone to show her the best water holes and grazing areas. Phoenix's family had been pretty secluded. Her father was an older stallion who kept to remote areas to secure his herd. The small mare paused, thinking for a moment. Perhaps that was why she had been driven away. When his mares went into heat, he quickly bred them so they wouldn't attract stronger stallions, but he couldn't do so with his own daughters. Phoenix sighed, suddenly saddened. This new mare seemed perfect for her old family. Smart, calm, and independent. Maybe it was time the paint mare stopped searching..
((Sorry for this bad reply Marty, but my trainer just got TWO WILD MUSTANGS. I was kinda fangirling over them instead of replying. :3))
