City stared at the paint for a moment, still very, very confused. Only bachelor stallion’s could keep alliances. Even then, those bonds were very fragile when mares came into the picture. A band stallion with few mares would surely never be able to sustain an alliance with a younger stallion. The bay let her eyes flicker over to the chestnut before letting her vision fall back on the paint. She was still very unsure of how to react to the situation. She had never been in a "shared" herd before. City swallowed and stood tall, even though she was still quite a bit shorter than the paint. She gave him a steady gaze before lightly bobbing her head, quietly thanking him for not forcing her to move. The mare spun around and started to walk, her black tail flicking behind her. She plodded along for a few paces before she realized that she didn't even know where the stallion even wanted her to go. "Well, my-stallion-that-I-still-do-not-know-the-name-of," She spoke without turning her head around to look at the paint. "Would you please direct me to where you will have me travel? Or shall I just wander until we find another stallion to join your alliance?" The mare's voice was very neutral, but City knew she was testing the stallion. The alliance was not at all a good idea in her mind, and she wanted to let them know. She had no clue how he would react. But the stallion had showed that he was determined to get her. Was he just as determined to keep her?

Mayhem's lip twitched slightly. She had been right. Well, she was always right, but she was right again anyways. The black mare pondered his proposition for a moment. It definitely wouldn't be the worst decision of her life. Mayhem's ears perked back up in a relaxed manner. "Eh, okay." She replied simply. "But don't expect me to move before I want to move." The mare gave him a stern glance to reinforce her statement before dropping her neck down to once again nibble at the grass. This was a great spot in her opinion. There was shade, a nice breeze, and plenty of lush foliage. Also, they were in a pretty isolated area. Mayhem was still surprised that Calcifer had located her in the first place... Oh well. He would be her stallion now, but she would certainly make most of the rules.

The mare broke her gaze away from the stallion as another horse descended towards the watering hole. After a brief glance, Calamity could tell that it was a mare. Her shoulders relaxed. This was great for her. Perfect. She thought quietly. Now, the stallion will hopefully go after her. After all, she's closer and prettier and... oh shi- The mare had been so focused on the new comer that she hadn't noticed that the stallion was on the move... Towards her. Calamity tensed as she noted the bachelor's confident demeanor. He strolled right on up to her, head high, and didn't hesitate to - of course - start flirting. The grey mare stood stiff for a moment, very hesitant of this stallion. Of course he had to trot over to her. "Uh - I was just getting water..." She said, practically stumbling over her words. A moment later, the mare dropped her eyes to the ground, lowering her head down a bit. "Sorry. I-I didn't see you come over." She mumbled sheepishly, shifting her weight around. Social interaction with bachelors was definitely not her thing. Calamity silently prayed that this stranger was kinder than he seemed. She knew that she could never outrun him if he turned out to be the cocky bachelor that he appeared to be.
