I let my paw slide noiselessly off a soft, dampened rock I noticed, thoughtfully placed next to a demure and modest berry bush sheltered under shadows. Everything had a slight dew from the melted snow, the sun today melting away about a half-inch of the icy blanket. My tongue tasted the furs of squirrels; it was all I could manage on my own today. Two squirrels. Days had been darker. My ears perked skyhigh as a rustle of leaves jerked overhead, a collection of dry leaves toppling down on me. I shook them off with a grievous glare, taking in account that a small blue jay had somehow managed to just accidentally send a cascade of foliage onto my face. Sinking my teeth in a little deeper to the prey I had tracked, I began to circle back towards camp. On my way, the saliva that pooled in my mouth was relentless as the tangy scent of meat entered my nose with such a welcoming mannerism. I fought my temptation; it happened every time I hunted. I was still getting used to sharing my meal with others, biting down my appetite in order to avoid the callous eyes of judgment.
There was another scent in the air now.. Wolf. A foul wolf. One of which I'm no familiar. I was still gaining my pack scent. But I knew this one was.. Foreign. I felt the need to check up on it, ears so perked that they could have strained. My steps fell from trots to cautious treading as I neared it, the snow underneath my paws feeling eerily colder. He was a brute-wolf. I could smell him now.

Hollow
_____________
LONER
NO CRUSH
LONELY
______________
Shaking himself, the brute walked near the borderline, unaware that he was close to crossing. He knew there was a pack nearby, but he didn't think that anyone would find him hunting there. Lately prey has been moving into pack territory, as if knowing that who's chasing won't go across. It was quite frustrating when that happened, and his stomach growled. Hollow was hungry, and so he was now trying to hunt something.
The hair on his back raised, as something came into attention. There was a slight change in the air around him, and his grey pelt looked spiky. There was a new scent, and one close to him. It must be from someone in the pack. He growled lowly, green eyes gave in to the grey flecks in them, now looking around with dark grey orbs, almost blue. Lowering himself, Hollow waited to see who was it that dared to come near.
@partyrocker ;; Lincoln's a hunter, and Nine will organize a hunting party. I'll post for her when I get home.

I tucked the two plump squirrels I had hunted under the hefty roots of a tree, not planning to leave them long as no wolf enjoyed the taste of an animal touched by frostbite. I felt their blood drip from my fangs, the carmine rose color of red spangling the ground with droplets. I licked my jaws clean, lips still managing to curl back in the discomfort of awareness of another wolf. My mind fogged with thoughts and possibilities, my tail rising until it was outward and stiffly parallel to the ground in warning. There was a snow covered thicket ahead. A tall one. I poked my head around the corner with a breathy huff, spotting the brute immediately. My heart beat forcefully against my chest as I made eye contact, ears flattening as I narrowed my eyes in the mostly subtly threatening way. I wasn't sure how this would be taken. But I had to be prepared for anything.

_________
MIDNIGHT PACK
LEAD HUNTER
NO CRUSH TO SAY
FEELING ALRIGHT
_________Leaving the beta behind, the fae headed to the center of camp, ready to place a call for every hunter. Today they needed big prey. Something like elk. And luckily there was a herd moving close nearby. It would take some long time of traveling, but the will arrive, take it down and drag it back to camp. Possibly scare the elk into their territory. Its's a nasty trick, given that the herd was right in the borderline with Moonlit, but hey, they had to eat. Maybe afterwards bring a few more down. Now that the sun is finally out the food won't freeze until much later, and so will be to their advantage. Sighing, Nine looked around seeing that apparently everyone was running around. There was no one in the clearing where the pack held it's meetings. Well, she was going to call for a meeting, so arching her head back, white fluffy ears pulled back too, she howled a low call for those who wanted to join the hunt to assemble.

His grey orbs roamed the white surface between the thick black trees until he meet the stranger's eyes. It was a fae, given that he could scent her better now, and she was clearly from Midnight pack. Hollow didn't take her as a threat, but he could see that for her he was one. Her stance was not possessive, so he was sure she wasn't an alpha or a beta. She was defensive, meaning that she was some kind of subordinate. His ears flattened against his skull slightly, warning her that he would fight if provoked. He knew that he was in Midnight territory, so he was not in the best position so to speak. Flicking his ears forward, he relaxed, sure that she would not fight him. Capitulating, Hollow turned around and started walking back to were he belonged. Outside. Because he was a loner, and loners like him were not welcomed into packs. He gave her his back, and it was quite rude, considering that he just ranked her as nothing to fight. However, at some point he looked back, to see if she was still there.

Never feared for anything
Never shamed but never free
A laugh that healed the broken heart
With all that it could
Lived the life so endlessly
Saw beyond what others see
I tried to heal your broken heart
With all that I could

Will you stay away forever?

Romgade flicked his ears back at the sound of a howl floating into the air. it was the call of the hunt. the song belonged to a low ranked hunter of the midnight pack. he let out a soft growl, before turning and leaping off the rock he was perched on for most of the morning. his paws sinking into the light snow as he landed. his head held high as he looked around for his beta, or one of his fighters. he had to speak with someone. they were about due for a good trek around the border. re-doing the older scent markers. perhaps making them stronger, and more visible to the wolf nose. with no sight of either, he began to think about howling for one or the other. but decided on not letting his voice echo through the forest. he didn't want to start a howling fight with the pack.
[this is such crap. sorry.... >.<]┏xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx┓

Amsterdam laid upon the soft ground, her tail curled around her. the females eyes were shut, though her ears moved at the sound of birds chirping, showing she was only in a light sleep. the sound of a loud caw made her lift her head quickly. her dark brown ears stood erect on her head as she looked around. the scent of her pack floating through the air, letting her know she was close to the rest of them. or at least the marked border. she rose to a sitting position to listen to the forest, hoping to hear the soft sound of paws on the ground of her pack mates. only she heard nothing but the calls of the birds. without much hesitation she stood up, letting her paws move her forward, and her nose guide her path. her nose caught the strong scent of their alpha, Talekov. her paws stopped where they lay and she took a step back. the thought of running into him made her tuck her tail. she sniffed the air, he wasn't close to her. with much caution she turned, and head to the east. hoping to not run into him, or any other high rank. her ears still laid upon her head in a twinge of fear. she didn't like getting snapped at by the brutes of these high ranks. they always had something rude and terrible to say. or they just attacked her into submission and made her whine. her back legs began to shake at the thought and she needed to stop these thoughts and calm down.
