Thea flicked her ears at the question and began to stand to leave. The mare staggered. "I--" her eyes filed with fear at the stallion that came in. The event flashing through her mind she backed away. There wasa reaskn her side was scraped up and mud crusted on her back. Thea lowered her head and flattened her ears, still moving back. "No I'm not." She managed from her trembling in her own defense at Coal's statement.

Cloud He heard what sounded like a stallion yelling come from the woods not far from where he and feather were. "Lets go see whats going on" he said to her. He trotted towards the sound and saw two stallions and the mare from before. He figured out that this stallion was what the mare was running from. He reared up at the buckskin stallion "She wants you to leave her alone!"he said loudly. He looked behind him and made sure he was in front of feather so he could protect her as well.

Coal turned as another stallion and a mare showed up. The buckskin, already uncomfortable, nearly lost his temper.

"And it's none of your buisness, shorty." Coal said to Cloud.

"Yeah, you don't have to be the savior every time, jeez, can't you mind your own buisness and grow a pair?" Coal snorted, shaking his black mane at the smaller stallion.

He'd about had enough of the mustang, and really he just wanted to be alone so he could talk to Thea and try to get her to see his point of view.

Cloud He looked at the stallion who was not that much bigger than him "well theres a reason she's so afraid of you, and she obviously does not want you near her." he said calmly. He turned around and walked up to feather "I wonder what his problem is" he whispered quietly into her ear. He nuzzled her "Come on lets get away from this jerk" he added in a low whisper.

Lucky rolled his eyes at Coal's statement. "What EVA. I'm not looking for mares. Someone wants to be a real stallion, unlike you!" He yelled at Coal. He kept his head low, and as the new stallion, Cloud yelled at Coal too, he scraped his hoof on the snow. He was going to fight with Coal, if he needed to. No mare was going to be hurt or feel uncomfortable with Luck around. But I can't fight! I'm on a mission without anyone, to become a true, better stallion! Luck thought to himself in a sulk. He stopped everything, lifted his head, then just stared at the action.

Thea watched Cloud wordlessly, the mare not knowing what to do. She was not his possession. She was free to choose right? Maybe she could just slip away...Looking around she Flicked her ears and backed up more, looking for a way out. There had to be a way out. Her heart raced nervously.

Coal - Stallion - No Mares - His Herd - Defeated

"Fine! You know what, I've decided I don't like being around here. I was better off alone! You're all a bunch of procrastinators. I was told that the stallions out here could take what they pleased, but evidently they were all lies. You're all liars." Coal yelled, turning and galloping away. He splased across the freezing lake where Lucky had cleaned his wounds. If the mare didn't want him around, fine. If Cloud was going to be a goody-goody, then obviously the mustang didn't need any help. The only decent horse there was Lucky. Lucky. The young grey seemed to be alright, but one could never be too sure. Coal tossed his head and tried to calm his angry heart, but to no avail. He searched for a place to sleep for the night and settled on a stand of sparsely covered evergreen trees, huddling in the midst of them for warmth.
