Coal - Stallion - Mares: Thea - His Herd - Following Thea

Coal knew that Thea was afraid, he could smell the fear scent. He didn't want to hurt her, so he hung back. He bent his head to graze on the short, frosty cold grass shoots that poked through their frosty covering. The shoots were moist and refreshing, he just needed to find a stream and he wouldn't have to look for food for the next couple of days.

She sighed slightly as Night left to go find Inferno. Now here she xtood, alone outside the bay stallions cave. She was still seriously considering leaving since she had only caused trouble so far, but she did really like Inferno, he seemed kind and genuinely caring, unlike some stallions who pretended to actually give a sh*t so they could get foals. She pricked her ears and looked around, she figured she should just wait for him to return instead of going to distract him now
(I actually love this mare X3)

He smiled and gave Dee a nuzzle of affection, proud that this mare would be the first and probably the only mare to carry his foal this season. He was so assured that the foal would be wonderful, with a pure heart like his sweet mother but also a strong will. He was excited for Dee and would support her every step of the way. He pricked his ears at the sound of two stallions who seemed to be fighting over a mare and stood close beside his mare.

She looked as a few of Inferno's mares appeared and nodded to them in greeting. "Well, be sure to say hello to her for me when she wakes" she nickered gently to the stallion, feeling a little better knowing he wouldn't be here alone with the fallen mare. She looked around all of them "It was nice meeting you, I hope she is all better soon" she said gently and trotted back to stand beside Cloud, nudging his shoulder gently. "So, do you have anywhere in mind?" she asked curiously, wondering what sort of place he might take her to live.

Thea struggled to surpress a whinny as she nearly plowed into Jewel. Her panic stiken eyes watched her for a moment. "Oh..s-sorry..." She sputtered out. Her heart was pounding in her ears. She swept a glance around.

Nightingale nickered running back to the Cave. "My apoligies Dancer" she said giving a small bow. "Inferno shall return when he pleases" she said looking behind her. "I'm going to travel temporarily...I'll reutrn" she added her forelock turning stained with the Crimson that was all over the shelter "Care to come along?" she asked not favoring the idea of being a soloist

The cremello eagerly pricked her ears as she heard a voice. She turned to see Night returning and she smiled sheepishly at the mare. She thought over that offer for a bit, it would be good to take her mind off things, and she was pretty sure Inferno wouldn't be too happy about Night venturing out on her own, not after all he had just been through with Iris. "Yes thanks Night, I wouldn't mind going along with you" she nickered gently and trotted over to stand next to the mare, feeling quite small next to the shire. She flicked her silky tail with content, liking the fact that she seemed to be making a few friends now. Perhaps her life was about to get better.

Nightingale smiled nosing her gently "We'll return..I'd like to see the whole land before though..we should make a note" she said walking towards the dirt, using the best she could of her hooves. She wrote that She and Dancer would be exploring..and they would return soon. The shire smiled drawing to stick-figure horses. Laughing she returned to Dancer, gazing over the land. She was a bit worried...worried that they'd be snaked or forced into a herd. Inferno wouldn't be with them for it...the shire looked back at the cave, before trotting down the hill, into the valley

Dee leaned on Edge a few moments. "Thanks for sticking around." She smled and nosed his neck. Giving her mane a shake she relaxed a bit. She was excited to be carrying for Edge. He was better than perfect in her mind. Watching for anything of interest she bent to try and pick out some grass hidden in the snow.
