He rolled his eyes, then turned his attention back to the prey, waiting for the King's permission. When prey was in camp, especially in the morning, the lions usually eat it. And they had a specific eating order. He sometimes felt bad for that runt cub who couldn't get in with his siblings and get the literal strip of meat. But as a Guard, he got a decent portion. And he didn't feel bad for eating 'till his stomach was full.

Quibli looked over, before licking his jaws. He decided to wait near the guards, eyeing the prey. He knew he couldn't eat yet, but it was tempting. He decided to lick a paw and draw it over an ear, to distract his thoughts from it.

He laid down a bit and glanced around, looking at some bushes.. "hey.. Flank look.." his ears flicked as Meerkats ran around the bushes "maybe we should alert the huntresses.."

He glanced at the meerkats. "I bet we could catch them ourselves." He muttered. "Besides, we'll eat them ourselves. If the huntresses catch them we'll have to share with the pride. And we know we won't get them after that. But I guess it'll distract them from the wildebeest.." he shook his fur. "Do what you want. Im unsure." he muttered, flattening his ears. "Ill catch one though." he stood up, though waited for a reply

he got up as well, doing a stretch and digging his claws into the soft soil "I'm with you on that, never hurts to do some hunting I guess.." he huffed and crouched to sneak up on the meerkats.
