Sky turned Shimmer toward the trails and nudged her into a trott.

Shimmer neighed, she kicked out her hooves and bolted forward.

"Good luck racing. I entered Snowflake in a cross country jumping course." Star said with a smile. She looked at the loose mare running. "Snowflake!" She said, getting up and going after the mare. "Stop playing games!" She said with a smile and a laugh.

Snowflake thought this was fun. "A game of tag!" She whinnied as she ran around. She jumped the pasture gate with ease and played in the pasture.

Linka thought she heard hoof beats, so she stopped and listened. If some one was going any faster then a trot here then they could misstep on this trail. Epona had been on this trail so many times Linka didn't worry about it, but about the hoof beats. She wondered who they were anyway.

Sky slowed Shimmer down to a trott, he patted her neck then looked ahead at the trail in front of them.

Shimmer held her head high with her ears pushed forward as she trotted down the trail.

Linka continued at a walk with Epona. She heard the hoof beats coming closer, but didn't care anymore. "Hey Epona, let's just go the free way." Linka said, meaning something different then what it sounded like.

Epona snorted. "Okay! Will the other horse come?" She wondered.

Sky strocked Shimmers neck as she trotted along the trail "What do you think about this girl? It's better then at the boarding stables we were at before we came here don't you think?"

Shimmer nodded her head in reply "I don't remember much about the other place because of me being so young at the time but from what I do remember this place i much more pretty" she said

Epona stopped and reared up on Linka, a snake in front of her. "A snake!" She whinnied, slightly scared by it.

Linka gripped the sides of the saddle and leaned forward as Epona reared on her, again.

Shimmer flicked her ears around then forward again when she hear Epona's whinny, she reared up suddenly which caused Sky to fall backward off her. She stomped her hooves then galloped in the direction of Epona's whinny.

Sky landed on his back hard, he watched Shimmer gallope away as he tried to get his breath back. He sat up and rubbed the back of his head.

"Epona! Stop that right now! Your just being fussy!" Linka told Epona. She nearly fell off foward as Epona landed, like usual. She looked down the trail and saw Shimmering Star. "Shimmer!" She called out, in a surprised voice, calling to the young mare.

Epona flicked her ears back. "Shimmer! What are you doing here?" She asked, very curious.

Shimmer saw Epona and Linka as she got closer with her ears pushed forward. She slowed down as she got closer "I heard your whinny Epona" she said

Linka didn't see Sky on Shimmer. "Stay here Epona!" She said as she dismounted. She ran back along the trail. She saw Sky on the ground. "Are you okay?" She asked him, bending down and offering a hand to help him up.

Epona looked at Shimmer. "Yea, I saw a snake. Every spring I get scared by them." Epona said, knowing it was something silly.
