Red glanced at Erle as he got up and moved away, but quickly returned her gaze to Arian as the Lead Warrior explained herself.
"You speak of a spy... I didn't realize there was one, just that you made the first move. Who did Shadow send to spy on us and how did it come about? I have yet to hear the full story and I should like to get a better understanding of it, if you'll indulge me." She said and sat down. "We both seem to be waiting for Max to appear, so we may as well pass the time, right? Unless you have something more important to be doing, of course. I wouldn't want to prevent you from making a patrol for this morning or some such."

"There will be a patrol once more of the wolves are awake. I have yet to see many of our Warriors." Arian couldn’t help a flicker of annoyance at that. Wasn’t it high time everyone had wakened by now? However, she tore her thoughts away from that matter and to the untold story. "A Trainee. They mentioned him being a Healer Trainee when he had been at the border, made an even more exaggerated show of anger than I would’ve expected from ANYONE, but he had no business there and just HAPPENED to show up on our side of the borders after prolonged silence from the enemy. Funny half their Pack showed up within less than five minutes to make the exact same argument and tell me I’m in the wrong. I’ve heard of spies before. It’s always the last wolf we would expect to be sent. A youngster claiming to be a Healer? There were plenty of herbs I could SEE on their side of the border. They used him as both a spy, and, when that failed, as an excuse to launch an attack and blame us for being the 'bad guys' here. I mentioned they’d sent him over here. I didn’t even say the word spy at first, it was one of his pathetic Packmates who declared they’d never sent a spy. Only makes me all the more suspicious."

Arian had thought about it a lot, she knew she’d made mistakes in life, and she knew perhaps she’d reacted harshly, but she’d firmly believed he was a spy. "I acknowledge my way of approaching things were backwards. They want Fire wolves to be harsh though, and that’s exactly what they’ll have from me. In my own way, I was defending my Pack. Eliminate the threat before it can do any harm."

Smoke nodded. She’d finished off her share of the meal and rose to her paws, scanning the camp, finding Fish and Rain in a quiet corner. Starting a training session? Talking? No matter. Surely it would be good experience for the young Trainee to have some paws-on training, and it wouldn't kill Fish to do her job now and then. "Yeah, for sure! Would you run and grab Fish? I have to go let Oak know we're headed out." She glanced at Nadia and Cosmo. "I’ll be back in a few minutes!" Then she took off to find the Lead. "Oak? I’m taking Cosmo, Fish and Rain with me to patrol the border real quick. We have Nadia and Basil too, so we'll be multitasking. Is that okay with you?"

"Here is perfect!" Fish chirped. She had already checked the Trainee for wounds, but gave her one more quick once-over. "Okay, so did you pick up anything new in the battle?" She asked. Later she’d have to check in how Rain was holding up emotionally and mentally. Seeing a battle like that— especially at such a young age— could be scarring.

She sighs and lays there with them "it's okay if you don't feel like getting up today... I wish I could lay here with you, but I can't. There's still more wolves to treat" she says laying her head on her paws

Storm wagged her tail easily and had started to cross towards the camp exit, pleased that she got Karter to follow her and happy to vent about the emotional battle she'd involved herself with the night before.
"You're gonna be shocked when you hear what happened." She assured Karter. "It all started when-" She found herself being cut off when Axis interjected himself into their conversation and she curled her lip in annoyance, before shaking out her fur.

"Heeeey Axis." She greeted the other warrior. "Look, I was just about to take Karter out on a hunting patrol - ya know, with him as my warrior escort and all. I'm sorry to bail - though really any way you look at it, you're interrupting us here - but we should totally catch up later, mmkay? Okaythankstalklater!" She said and with a meaningful look to Karter, she trotted through the camp exit. She wouldn't forgive him if he stood her up for another pack mate again!

Apollo was up early, he had grabbed some sticks and was trying to sneak it into the prey pile.

Oak turns as Smoke approached. He listened, “ok, that sounds fine. Just be careful ok? We don’t know what the Fire wolves could do” he says. He turns back to his mate and chuckles, “Spark will learn soon enough that pinecones don’t taste very good” he says.

Axis glare at Storm, he was just trying to make conversation. “Fine!” He says, “no need to be rude about it!” He says then with a huff, walks off.

Basil smiles, "Sure, I'll come with you to find the two" She says.

Kiwi waited for her mentor’s response. “Terrain awareness? Sounds interesting” she says. She’d never heard about terrain awareness before.

Kotori nods once more still not speaking.

"Oh man…it was really that bad?" Sadly, he could believe it. If it involve Terra…well, their family seemed to have a knack for quick tempers. Toby was the most tame, but Karter and Terra? Loose cannons. This was going to be good. "Promise I won’t tell her ya said anythin' behind her back," he assured her, just before a voice called out to them.

Karter shot Axis an apologetic glance. "Sorry, I did promise, and it’s long overdue. If you’re lookin' for someone to chill with though, I think Toby's just hangin' 'round, or Terra could probably use help with the aftermath of the battle," he suggested. Then he turned and darted after Storm. No WAY was he going to be on her bad side. He liked Axis, he really did. He could see the similarities between them, but also the differences, and in the BEST way. But Storm had been his friend for sky-dogs only knew how long now.

The beautiful lighter tan she wolf twitched black lined ears. The amber eyed one looked to Cosmo, and said "Okay."

She then nodded to Smoke once more, and said "Okay, well wait here." It seemed Basil had been the one told to go find Fish. She looked around and spotted them herself. They didn't really need to be found, but they needed to be told.

The kind and caring but shy and nervous black one heard Saffron. S/he quickly looked over to their trainer. S/he said "I'm doing better today," and offered a smile. "How are you doing?" they then politely asked their trainer.

The pretty chocolate one, with a white muzzle and chest patch went to look for Stryker. They couldn't find him...but did find Talon (and Coal?) "Talon... have you seen Stryker today at all?" they asked. They then waited for an answer.

The black nosed dark gray one said "He...He is gone, yes...You're right that there are others though," they said. "In fact, Mercy is one of them; Mercy is my trainer," they said.

The beautiful amber eyed gray wolf nodded to both of them. She then asked "Are you waiting for Mercy to come get you? I'd assume you'll have more training to do today, Ami."

"We certainly don't have the luxury of getting to choose when or when not to kill anymore. Maybe things would be different if..." She shook her head. "I suppose there's no point in discussing potential differences. We're living in the way things are currently." She heaved a sigh. "I just wonder what the endgame is here. How many wolves will have to die before something's going to give?" She side-eyed Arian. "You probably know the answer to this question better than I do, being one of our leading members and all... What's the goal of this war, Arian? What are we trying to accomplish, beyond simply surviving it?" She inquired of the Lead Warrior.
