Gale looked up as one of his fellow trainees approached him. “O-oh, h-hello” he says not used to speaking to others who he didn’t know well. “W-what brings you here?” He asks trying to gain confidence.

Rose smiles up at Karter and Navii, the smile not reaching her eyes. “Oh, okay. I’ll tell you. Since you’re my friends after all” she says. She wouldn’t be this willing to open up if they weren’t her friends and cats she trusted with her whole heart.

Jasper was pleased to note that their Chief hadn't strayed far from their original meeting spot. He knew she wasn't the type to back away from something, but he supposed the tiniest bit of him wondered if she would do exactly that. However, evidently, that was not the case. "Great," he purred, barely even wasting a second to catch his breath as he turned back towards Shiro. He let his gaze fall back on her once again, whiskers twitching pleasantly at her comment. "What did you catch?" he asked as he ducked past the exit. "And where?"

Jasper was undeniably thrilled to have been given the opportunity to lead a patrol like this. He had never had a Trainee before, so he wasn't overly experienced, but he was a quick learner and an observer, and it didn't seem challenging. The thought of having a higher position had crossed his mind once or twice, and while he had no intentions of ever bringing that up, being put in charge like this was almost like getting a taste for another rank. Neither of those things were the reason behind his request towards Moonlight, though. Jasper genuinely wanted her to come out; only once had he been forced to stay in the camp for weeks, which was during his Trainee days, when he injured his shoulder. Waiting around was aggregating, and Jasper felt confined and claustrophobic within the first week. Their Chief didn't get out much nowadays, given her long list of duties, and the Hunter could only imagine how she felt about that.

His gaze skimmed the mossy area around them as he padded on, his small frame carrying him along in a quiet trot. "I know a location where there are several rabbit holes," he informed the both of them, unsure if this was something Shiro was aware of or not. "But keep your eyes open regardless; this is the first time we've had sunshine in a bit, I don't doubt our prey will be eager to enjoy it."

The comment made by L'Anda brightened Kaliska's spirits, and she felt herself sitting up a bit taller. She was used to receiving compliments in her home tribe; as the Chief's daughter, and only child, she was the gem that needed to be protected. Of course, things changed once the rouges attacked. Not only did they damage her physical beauty, but for a while, her spirits, as well. In fact, the traumatizing incident temporarily changed her completely, and she was deemed as useless with her once-family when they made a new tribe. Perhaps it was the switch from a desperate tribe to a strong pride that helped Kaliska grow a bit more. Selfishly, she needed support like what L'Anda was feeding her to boost her upright once again.

"I think every tribe - pride - needs tension," she mused, her bright blue eyes skimming over the cats yet again. "A utopian atmosphere only seems nice in dreams." Of course, Kali wasn't very fond of this tension, especially when it was directed towards herself. One tomcat in particular made it very clear that she wasn't welcomed in the Pride. She was surprised he hadn't convinced Moonlight to boot her out yet. "Our Chief must respect your word immensely," she continued. "You're the voice of the Pride; you could spread a rumour and everyone would believe you. I admire your honesty, really." Her tail twitched slightly in amusement, and she playfully added: "So I know not to get on your bad side."

The white furred off white eared one realized Gale seemed nervous. "Ah, right, I guess we don't know each other that well..." Then again, they would have been in the nursery together. Didn't mean they necessarily played together or anything as kits. "I'm Snowy," he said as reminder. "I...just wanted to see what you were doing. L'Anda is probably around, I don't think there's any messages to deliver right now. I... decided to come see you," he said, and scuffed a paw in the dirt.

She then shook her head a couple times. "I...guess I should probably head back to the nursery," she then said.

Shade stopped close to the border, she picked up a faint scent, lingering, but nothing more. "Does anyone else notice a fresher scent? I’m not picking up on anything," she admitted. Usually her senses were sharp, but she primarily focused on combat as far as her skill set went, in reality.

Kass slowly breathed out, closing her eyes. This was a lot. She could have a mate one day. She knew that. She’d always assumed she’d have an open-ended or poly relationship at some point, monogamy had never sat well with her, but with the right cat, she figured she could settle down. She was three and a half years old. It was time she ought to be thinking about such things. "Wait, Ada." She gently touched her nose to Ada's shoulder. "It’s a lot to just…leave someone with that out of nowhere. Stay with me a while." She knew she was not permitted into the nursery as a Huntress, unless she was the mate, but…there was no desire to be left alone to think on it. "If you’re interested in me, then would it not be beneficial to sit and talk a while?"

Ryder felt bad in a way. Sure, it was generally the younger, more active cats assigned to more duties, but they were still fully functioning members of this Pride. Ryder had done his own fair share of duties, almost. From the sounds of it though, Wilted couldn’t say the same. Sometimes the only way to remedy such things was to bring it up directly.

"Oh I’m sure. It’s been just shy of a week of rain now." Moonlight kept her voice quiet as they headed out, not wishing to disturb any nearby prey, then fell silent, tuning her senses in. The rustling of leaves in trees and bushes. The earth under her paws and the light breeze that, with a little luck, would soon carry the scent of prey to them. It was hard, she found, to leave control to someone else, but she couldn’t be in charge of everything, and especially not something that wasn’t her field of expertise. Besides, she had her own motives for having accepted the offer, and it meant she couldn't take the lead. Not this time.

He may be the lowest rank of their Pride, but he was still a member of the Pride, and an individual. Then she turned and headed over to their Chief again. "Chief Bat, the cats are gathered. Gale nods, “oh, S-snowy” he says trying out the name he didn’t remember. “Oh, me? You-you’ve come to see me?” Gale rarely had others want to see him, he wasn’t outgoing and talkative, so many didn’t even know his name.

Rose took a deep breath before speaking. “I’ve had different versions of this nightmare, but it’s focused around the pride collapsing, and with me the last one alive” she started. She looked up and met her friends eyes “I usually comes with a erie whisper, scolding me… telling me… telling me” she started to tear up now. “Telling me that I won’t be able to help the pride… be able to save you guys… my friends” she says looking down with tear filled eyes just waiting to fall.

He really was still a kitten, though a trainee. He wasn't a year or a year and a half yet. "Oh! How are you doing?" he asked, wondering. Did Gale need food, water, help, a break, anything at all?
