The bay stallion trotted from the woods into an open meadow full of horses. He could see two stallions fighting over a mare, so he
veered away from them uncomfortably. Dream Catcher didn't want to get into a fight at the moment, especially with so many mares that were in the surrounding field. His ears swiveled to the side as he heard a mare that was calling out. Tocho trotted towards her, keeping his pace slow enough that it wouldn't frighten the mare or annoy her. His dark mane was blown by the wind, but he didn't pay any heed to this minor annoyance. The stallion stopped once he was a few feet away from the mare, digging his hoof through the dirt and snorting.

Seeing a stallion approaching, the mare pricked her ears and slowed to a halt. She stood, waiting for him to reach her. She took this time to study him. He was a large bay stallion, he seemed to be a bachelor but he could be a band stallion and she just couldn't see his mares. Tocho was about the same height as Viper, but he was bulkier. So far, she was impressed. He looked like an able stallion, he was fit and old enough to have a herd of his own. When he stopped, she gave him a nicker and walked forward. She took a few steps towards him and then stopped, bumping her muzzle against his in greeting.

The bay stallion saw the white mare approach him and bump her muzzle against his in greeting. He let out a high pitched neigh as he greeted the mare and introduced himself. ''I am Dreamcatcher,'' he said as he threw a sideways glance towards the two stallions who still seemed to be fighting. ''May I ask who you are?'' The mare was about his height, but she seemed to be slimmer than he was. The bay stallion had the powerful build that a purebred Belgian Draft would have. He tried to silently guess the mare's name as he waited to hear what she would say. His ears were pricked forward curiously.

Seeing him look at something, the white mare followed his gaze, looking to the fighting stallions. They were trading blows, rearing and biting and kicking at each other. She was surprised that they were still at it, she thought that one of them would have given up by now. The mare they were fighting for stood a few feet away from the stallions, looking bored as she watched them fight. When Dreamcatcher asked her a question she quickly turned her attention back to him. "My name is Desert Queen. You may call me Viper." She introduced herself, swishing her white tail. She glanced around briefly, then looked back to Dreamcatcher. "Where is your herd? Do you have one?" She asked.

The bay stallion watched as she turned her gaze back towards him and spoke to him. ''That's a lovely name. No, I don't have a herd,'' he curiously wondered if the mare would be uninterested in him because he didn't have one. Dream Catcher drug his hoof through the soft soil beneath them, leaving a hoof mark. He focused his eyes back up towards the white mare. ''Although, I do want a herd.'' His dark tail swept from side to side in a vain attempt to keep the pesky flies away from him. The fight between the two stallions that were behind them sounded like it had settled down some, but the stallion didn't pay them any attention.

She had a feeling that he was a bachelor, and she was right. Him being a bachelor didn't bother her. She wondered if he ever had a herd, was he a bachelor his whole life or did he have a herd in the past? "Well I don't have a herd either and I have been looking for a stallion to join..." She trailed off, giving him a small smile.

Being compassionate is one of her good qualities, but she also tends to be short tempered and indignant when stallions or mares try to boss her around. Deck Of Cards has a hard time warming up to other horses, but she is extremely friendly and loyal once she does. ♥
