Wings touched his muzzle to her shoulder softly then turned his side to her as if he was asking her to get on his back.

Shimmer nodded her head then said "ready, 1...2...3" she lept into a gallop but not at full speed.

Star patted him. "Sure. If it's okay with you." Star said, boosting herself on. At first she was sitting side saddle, then crossed one of her legs over to the other side.

Snowflake set off after her, just behind her wither, then pulling ahead so her wither was at Shimmer's nose. She smiled over at her. "Lengthen your strides." She said, giving advise.

Wings let out a nicker and shook his mane as he started off at a walk.

Shimmer did as Snowflake said but didn't go much faster, she may have a lot of energy like her father but she was saving it for later in the race.

Star tucked her toes under his belly and made sure her heels were down. She held onto his mane and smiled.

Snowflake watched Shimmer. She knew most racing tactics, but not all. This was a common one, save your energy for the end. Snowflake had no intent on winning, but just helping Shimmer improve. "It takes time to strengthen your muscles to make your strides lengthen." She informed. Most she had learn from Star rambling on about how to do some things. She had taken the advice, and gotten better. She couldn't wait for the races. She was going to be in the Triple Crown, the most famous races of the years. Then her mind came back to the race.

Wings moved into a trott, he didn't want to go to fast with Star on his back incase she fell off due to not having a saddle after all not everyone was good at riding bareback.

Shimmer sped up a little bit "thanks Snowflake" she said and shook her mane then let it steam out behind her.

Gwen ran up to Sovereign. " Help! Linka! Stacy! Sovereign's bleeding! I think he fell down the mountain!" she said, panicking. She was wearing a clean tee shirt, so she grabbed her pocket knife and cut a few pieces to put on Sovereign's head. She hoped Linka or Stacy had heard her.

Snowflake stayed the same pace, looking over at Shimmer. "I'm happy to help." She smiled, putting in more effort into her hind legs to speed her pace.

Sovereign had lost consciousness and neither Linka nor Stacy had appeared. She called Stacy on her cell. " Stacy! Where the heck are you! Sovereigns bleeding and unconscious, I think he tripped and fell down the mountain. I called the vet, and they're gonna be here in about 15 minutes."
