Pepper looked up at him. "Are there others in this... enclosure?" She was nervous and at the moment, she felt he was the only one she could trust, so she flinched and pressed close to him as a group of humans came by laughing and talking and pointing.

Pepper winced. "Where are they right now?" She mewed quietly. "Can I stay with you? I don't want to be around the other males if they are like that." She shivered.
