She sighed and wandered back to the cave and looked at Night. "Take care of him, he is a good stallion" she nickered gently. She would have loved to stick around and get to know him better, to help him, but she knew she would only make it worse for him, he didn't want a mare around who was always getting into trouble, and one that was hopeless mothering material.

Her head shot up as a stallion approached. He seemed to know the wounded mare, perhaps she had been running from him? She stood defensively in front of the out cold mare, wanting to protect her it simply wouldn't be fair for him to be here and possibly take advantage of her while she was in this state.

He nodded in agreement to Dee's statement. "What makes it worse is those stallions who miss out are only going to go nuts" he snorted and turned to the pretty young mare. It was sort of obvious that he was holding his breath slightly as Dee's heat scent was very strong and was slowly captivating him. "But I'll always protect you from stallions like them" he promised

Dee grinned and nosed Edge. The mare saw his discomfort and pinned her dark tail to her hocks, giving a sheepish smile of apology.She thought the fresh air out here would help. Dang. Her dark eyes turned toward the stallions, watching for their reactions. Giving her mane a shake she rose her head from nibbling at the grass and hoped her scent would not catch her the same attention.They would probably move on to prey on another mare. "It is just an odd system of natural selection. Apparently effective though. I find it weird seeing as the mare chooses and not the stallion. " Dee observed with a thoughtful flick of her ears.

Nightingale stood her hooves. Finding them unusually sore and tender, wincing she lifted on of them. Peering down at 'nail' she found them to be chipped and worn. She sighed shifting them every few minutes. Watching Inferno from the corner of her eye, He really seemed to like Iris. REALLY liked, she's never seen anything like it! He seemed to be..obsessed. Shrugging she curled in the corner of the cave, finding her hooves more irritated when they were stood on.

He scolded himself on the inside for slowly losing his self control. He took a breath of air and collected himself and walked over to stand beside Dee. "Well, unless they are possessive, stallions tend to respect mares opinions. as long as the mares are sane" he added the last part with a slight smile. He his head away as her heat scent continued to linger to him "sorry" he murmured apologetically.

Dee nodded. She chickled lightly at his smile and nosed him. "No you are fine." The mare shifted her hooves and nipped at his mane a few times to clean it. Her tail only fanned twice before she noticed it, which was good. It was only instinct for her to spread it anyway. Antlly harshing herself the mare shook her tri colored mane and gkanced back to Edge. "I mean, you and Cloud decided by yourselves. I am not.implying that I am sane or anything," Dee began with a smirk. "But it made sense. Anyway," She looked at him a moment and smiled before turning back to the grass. She had bo idea how to change the subject anyways so decided to leave it there.

The tall stallion began to get used to it as he forced himself to breathe so he wouldn't pass out. He stood beside her and chuckled as he bent his head to sweep aside some snow and get some grass from under it. "I wouldn't believe that you were for a second" he teased with a gentle nudge to the mares shoulder.

((Ugh, WB. Was up until like 5 AM last night))

Cloud As he walked he came across a stallion and two mares (iris, inferno, and flightless bird). He saw one mare passed out and the other mare guarding the mare from the stallion. He trotted up to them "what in the world is going on here?" he asked concerned. Cloud made sure he was no threat to the mare and looked at the mare who seemed to be on guard "is the other mare ok?" he asked kindly.
Jewel She smiled at lucky and happily trotted with him. She nuzzled him back and looked at him "maybe we could try for a foal this year, don't think I'm crazy,but i really do like you" she said to him. She felt so safe, and happy with lucky, which was a very different feeling than what she had with her first stallions. She was just lucky she got away from him, and was able to find someone as kind as lucky.

Feather almost jumped out of her skin as she heard another voice. She sighed in relief as she saw it was only another stallion. But who had the mare been running from. The faced both of them, looking as brave as she could as she stood protectively in front of the blue roan mare. "She crashed into a tree" she stated. "She's been out for a while now" she nickered. The stallion seemed kind, but the Akhal Teke she was wary of.
