{Just for a heads up, tomarrow I've been made time keeper for the debate tournament at my school so posts wouldn't be so frequent :c

Baylee sat in front of her master, in his rocking chair while Tomac lay at the foot of the fire place, the warmth on his old hip injury soothed him. "You-need-a-good-trim-again-Bay." Their master grunted as he combed the tangles out of her fur. Tomac chuckled slightly as small tufs of fur was extracted from his sisters coat, causing him to sway his tail a little too close to the flames. He yelped and scooted away, a few of his strands of fur were singed. "Best move away ol' boy." His masted chuckled as he put down the brush and slipped Baylee's collar back over her head. "Now I've got to into town early you two, to see about buying a few chicks since that fox got one of our hens-" at this Tomac wimperd slightly, with a thump his head layed on the floor and tail rested at his side. "Now Mac, you know its not your fault, I was the one who didn't tighten the latch enough." The man patted the top of his dog's head as he stood up and walked over to the door and pulled it open. "Be good you two." He said with a smile and shut the door behind him. "Council meeting?" Baylee asked curiously. "Mhmm." Her brother replyed as her turned and slipped through the old wooden dog door, Baylee on his heals as they made their way down the gravled drive way.

[Just finished my post -its on the 5th page- just an FYI, I don't really know why I reserved a place to post...in hindsight thats kinda stupid....I guess this is what happens when you've mostly been writing stories to adopt an adoptable and have been completing character forms for too long XD]

Shadows all around you as you surface from the dark
Emerging from the gentle grip of night's unfolding arms
Darkness, darkness everywhere, do you feel all alone?
The subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone

-----------------
you are the moon
-----------------
You don't see what you possess, a beauty calm and clear
It floods the sky and blurs the darkness like a chandelier
All the light that you possess is skewed by lakes and seas
The shattered surface, so imperfect, is all that you believe

Shear and Dusty arrived at the field, and went to Shadow, dipping their heads as they walked past Gervasious. Shear trotted through the night air, breathing in deep. the smell of the the early moring air was like heven to her. the soft, dewy grass felt good under paw, and the whole scene just felt welcoming to the both of them. "Good moring, Shadow." Shear said, sitting in before him. Dusty did the same, staring at nothing in particular. Shear got up, bowed her head again to Shadow, and walked off with Dusty.

"Shear, why do you have meetings?" Dusty asked her as they chose a spot to sit. "Becuse, it keeps the town dogs in order. The coucil is the head of the pack, and we need them to be able to direct us. so they hold meetings." Shear replied, looking around again. "i cant wait till it's over, so we can run!" Dusty whispered exiteively. Shear just shook her head and chuckled. the moon shone down on them, making Shear and Dusty's fur glow. Shear lied down, laying her ears against her head. "what is taking them so long?" Shear asked herself, watching the direction of the town.

((awwwwww, ok.))

The white shepherd perched on a rocky outcrop, his long, white fur buffetted by small gusts of wind. Below his hill, the sheep grazed. They looked like puffy clouds dotting the lush field. Their small bleats sounded distant and his ears pricked to catch them. Nothing sounded out of place and no one was panicking. Everything seemed peaceful, and Ghost let out a small sigh of relief. He had to be careful nowadays, there was danger everywhere. Even in the form of the companion dog. It still left him speechless when he remembered other dogs had attacked and ate livestock. Dogs were not supposed to do that! They were supposed to protect them, herd them, do whatever their owners told them to. Not eat them! What a stupid, hairbrained thing to do. Those kind of attacks was supposed to be left for wolves. Not dogs. A sharp, shrill wistle caught his attention and he swiveled his head towards the sound. His master was calling for him. With a soft sigh, he got to his feet and started to race towards the old man. Time for work.

It was some time before Ghost could slip it outside unnoticed. It was a pack meeting tonight and he had to attend and see what the Council was going to do about these traitors. His large paws carried him swiftly to the clearing, his blue eyes darting around for danger. Not that he was worried. The traitors attack livestock, not other dogs. Atleast they hadn't yet. He stepped into the clearing, his fur catching the light and making him have a slight phosphorescent glow. He noticed the other dogs and slowly padded to the group. He sat down not to far away and his ears cocked slightly as he listened to their chatter.

[Oh, I am done with my traitor. His form is with Ghost's.]

Shear raised her head to Goast's approach. "morning, Goast!" Shear called out, looking at him. Dusty sat there, listing what she liked in her brain. Shear turned back to Dusty, laying her head on her paws. The rutle in the wind clamed her, almost to the point of sleep. She sat up, not wanting to be lazy. she looked around again, and sented the air. the sent of all the dogs filled her nose, along with another..."hm?" She said, now wide alert.

((SO sorry that my posts are getting sparse, i am running out of things to post!!! we need to kick up some drama..... ))

"Hey...hey, Gabe." His ear twitched and he grumbled a little, but didn't wake up. Zephyr sighed and resorted to the only other way she knew of waking him: licking his ear repeatedly. His grumbling intensified to a small growl as he shook his head, blinking blearily in the faint light. "Council meeting, remember?" The Weimeraner/Doberman mix whispered as she sat down, ear perked as she obseved him. The Boxadore sighed and placed his head back on his paws.
"They always have to have it so early in the morning, don't they..." he mumbled, eyes slowly slipping shut again. Zephyr pawed his head this time, getting annoyed with how lackadaisical he was acting.
"Yes, for good reason. The humans aren't awake and therefore, they don't miss us." She hated explaining it over and over again. Gabriel winced at her paw's pressure and yawned, rising to his feet. He gave himself a good shake and then slowly padded over to the dog door.
"I'm glad for that..."
"Don't you care about the attacks?" Zephyr asked, getting more annoyed by the moment with her adopted brother. Gabriel sighed after taking a deep breath of the pre-dawn air. Everything was so still. Nothing had disturbed the droplets of dew on every blade of grass yet. Not even the birds were singing.
"Of course I do, Zephyr. Quit being such a worry-wart..." he grumbled as he got his stiff legs moving. Zephyr was right beside him, trotting along as if she had been awake for a while already. There was a good chance that was a true statement.
"Let's get to the field quickly. You know how Gervasious doesn't it like waiting on us," his adopted sister said as she moved into a ground-eating lope through the quiet streets of the town towards the meeting field. Gabriel groaned and goaded himself into a matching pace.
"Gervasious doesn't like anything..." he grumbled to himself.

Their pace quickly brought them within sight of the meeting field and of the other dogs already present at the meeting spot. Zephyr caught her breath at the number; they were bound to be slightly reprimanded at this point. She promised herself that next time, she would leave Gabriel to his dreams and be exactly on time for once instead of slightly late. She saw three Council members, Shadow, Gervasious and Knyte. Shear, Dusty, and Ghost were also present.
"Hello, everyone," she called out softly, slowing down to a walk as she neared the group. "I'm here, and Gabriel is somewhere behind me."
"Not that far behind you, Zeph," Gabriel called as he appeared from the gloom a few seconds later. "Hey all," he panted, a goofy smile on his face as he took a seat beside Zephyr.
