.: Senja :.

She simply acknowledged Cavalia by pinning her ears menacingly against her skull. She had hoped to come here by herself--no bachelors, no lone mares, no herds, just her alone. But would nature allow it? Of course not. This was just her luck. Running wasn't an option; though she looked stunning, her eyes felt heavy and she felt as if she would collapse, even if you couldn't really tell. She was very tired, and wanted nothing more than to surrender to sleep, but she was parched and had to get a drink.

Ash jolted awake, breathing hard. Her terrified neighs were just like in her dream . . . the feeling of extreme pain was the same at 2 years ago . . .
She nuzzled Cavalia softly, as if telling him she needed some time of her own, hoping her understood. Her fever was gone, the terror had cured it.
Ash galloped to a small meadow and tried to regain her composure. Calm down, she told herself. It was only a dream. A dream that's real.

Comet trotted over to Senja. He looked at her. "You look like your tired." he said to her, only a few yards away, giving her, her space if she wanted it. He wondered what the mare would say in reply to him, though he was always polite if he was able to be and not in a rush.

Cavalia nickered at Senja. After gently nudging Ash gain in responce, he walked over to Senja. He understood Ash needed time by herself so he decide to introduce himself to the new mare. He nickered softly to her. He trotted toward her his muscles rippling. He slid to a stop and stared into her eyes.

Ash shook her mane. She wasn't at home; no carrots now. No apples or rides, either.

Cavalia reared up at the siht of the other stallion. He neighed loudly. His hooves hit the ground hard and he pawed the ground. His muscles rippled at his movements. He tossed his head agitatedly as his mane rippled in the wind.

Ash looked around. She didn't see any stallions, not even Pozar, who she thought she'd see again eventually. She grazed for a while until she heard a twig snap.

Her head whipped up, ready to run, but it was too late. The bear lumbered toward her, ready for its next feast. She didn't make a sound.

Ash's mane rippled in the wind. She was brave. She could take on a bear - if she wasn't so thin. She snorted quietly, wanting to fight him alone.

.: Senja :.

She whirled on Comet, her electric blue eyes narrowed into slits. "Oh, really?" She shot back at him, thick sarcasm dripping from her voice. She began to back up, glaring coldly at the two stallions. What was worse, she was in heat, like all the mares. She did her best to avoid moving her tail, but the wind still spread her scent a bit.

The night was silent as bear and horse stared each other down. Suddenly, the grizzly leapt, ripping through her flank, and wounding her. She didn't cry out. She pawed her hooves. She gave him a sharp kick in the nose. The bear roared in rage and she snorted, pleased.
