(Sugar gliders are marsupials actually, so they are related to kangaroos and koalas rather than rats and hamsters.)

gins long tail dragged behind him leaving a soft trail in the dirt as he walked around the area, sniffing the ground with every few steps. it seemed he was in an area with other animals not to far behind, which kind of animal he wasn't sure though. his ears twitched softly as he trotted to a nearby bush, ducking under it.

Flame was gliding around the island, finding a little rat on the ground and gliding down to him. The grayish orange flying squirrel flicked her tail slowly as she landed, looking at the little rat slowly. “Hello, what’s your name?” She asked him.
