White Flame already had regretted acting up, but when Xavier pulled him to the side to talk to him, each one of Xavier's words hit his heart like a bullet. White Flame turned away so that Xavier wouldn't see the tear slide down his cheek. He quietly left the scene, and as soon as he couldn't be seen anymore, he ran until he was deep in the forest. White Flame had reached the same lake that Star Gazer had been at. He found a large tree, and he curled up underneath it covering himself in leaves hoping he wouldn't be found. He closed his eyes and covered his face with his tail so that no one could hear his sobbing.

Daze didn't even notice White Flame left. He stood beside his alpha.

Inner Angel couldn't help but laugh at Xavier's remark. She looked back at Emerald and shook her head, "I guess he must have been confused and didn't realize he crossed the border. Emerald probably thought that your wolves were trying to steal from us, so he tried to confront you. I assure you that next time he will know where the borders are, and he will be more careful."

Xavier smiled. "Well, be gone then, off with you." He barked, flicking his three tails.

Star Gazer saw White Flame walk past her, and as soon as he was out of sight she followed. She saw him under the tree and sat beside him, curling her tails around her body. "Whats wrong?" She asked softly. She rubbed her head against his back soothingly.

Inner Angel nodded her head to Xavier she nudged Emerald telling him to follow her as she walked back to camp.

Daze snorted he picked up his buck and began to walk back to camp.

White Flame lifted his head and looked at Star Gazer, "It's nothing..." He said looking off towards the lake. "It probably wouldn't matter to you anyway," he mumble barely above a whisper. He thought his problems wouldn't matter to Star Gazer, in fact, they probably wouldn't matter to anyone except himself.

"Hey." Star Gazer said, lifting his chin up with her nose. "Anything that matters to you matters to me." She whispers.

Xavier trotted back to camp.

Emerald followed Inner Angel with his tail and head low.

White Flame smiled at Star Gazer, it is always nice to have a friend. "Well, it's just..... It's just Xavier..." He shook his head and looked the other way, "really, it's no big deal."

Daze put down his kill. He looked around for his brother unable to find him. Daze turned to Xavier, "Do you know where White Flame went off to?"

Emerld layed down in his den and burried his head in embarrasment.

Xavier looked at Daze. "Probably somewere with Star. I saw them both walk off."

Star looked at White Flame in concern. "Well, there has got to be something. Start from the beginning." She says.

"Well... I started this morning when we were hunting. We found this big herd, and I had killed a doe. The doe had a baby fawn. I was going to kill the fawn as well, but when I looked into its eyes, I saw a younger version of myself staring back at me. I couldn't kill it, so Daze killed the fawn before it got away." White Flame shook his head, "It has just been bothering me... While we were hunting, Xavier caught a big buck, but the thing is, the buck had rolled over and hurt Xavier. So, when he was fighting Emerald I was worried about him because he was already hurt, and I didn't know Emerald's status. I thought I could help by pulling Emerald away and stopping the fight, but Xavier just got mad at me... I don't know why, but it just hurt me." White Flame spilled out his story only leaving out a few details.

Daze nodded, but he was still kind of confused. It wasn't like White Flame to go off somewhere after a fight, normally he would check and make sure no one got hurt especially Xavier.

Star nodded. "Yeah, Xavier yells at me a lot. But no wolf has ever had a status higher than Xavier, and Daze was there for backup so I see where Xavier is coming from, but he didn't have to yell at you, so I also see where you are coming from. Maybe you should just tell Xavier how you feel. If you were just a normal wolf he would probably kill you, but your not, your his best friend. I think he will take you feelings to heart." she says with a smile. "I can't relate to you about the fawn though. I am a hunter, born and raised to kill. I just look at my prey and imagine my worst enemy." Star says, looking into his eyes.

White Flame looked down avoiding Star's eyes thinking about what she was saying. "What if I don't know how I feel about Xavier?" He mumble under his breath. White Flame thought for a second and looked up at Star. He was slightly surprised that Star didn't ask about how baby deer who just saw its mom be killed related to him, but he was grateful for Star's advice. White Flame sighed, "Thanks Star, I am really glad you're my friend." White Flame only really had two secrets, one was only an idea that he hid deep in his mind, the other was kind of known by Daze, but the details still stayed scaring his memory. He wondered and kind of feared the day when he would have to share them, but maybe the only way to solve a problem was to face the truth.
