Universe wandered around the dustbins, sniffing the air for some bits of old food. She jumped up, placing her brown paws on the edge of a bin and her nose inside, shuffling and searching. Universe finally found some chicken bone and jumped back down, her nose a bit greasy but the chicken bone strong in her mouth. She happily took her trophy to an abandoned cardboard box and laid down inside, chewing the food she had found.

King walked, with a strong pace, in the alleyways until he reached a box full of rests of a human's feast. He had fed on those bits for seven days now. The elder sniffed the food, to see if it was still eatable and if the humans hadn't yet spilled poison onto it for killing rats and street cats, and then grabbed a big salmon, still fresh and soft. His mighty teeth dug into it so it wouldn't fall down and he strided calmly back the way he came, until he stumbled upon a strange cardboard box with something inside. He stretched his paws in front so his tummy was next to the ground and his head on the ground and he saw Universe inside. He growled and barked, but left her alone. King loved fights but wasn't up to one right now, with his black thoughts and the meat gripped in his mouth. Walking back to where he came from, he disappeared in the mist, a shadow of volume.

Kallea sighed. The pitbull walked around and saw a garbage can. She wasnn't interested in that, a chubby human was putting stuff in it. The stuff didn't interest her, either. Kallea leaped at the fat person, only to stop as a wolf leaped instead. It killed the human. Kallea growled,"Back off! He's mine!" The wolf smiled, nearing her. Kallea leaped on the wolf, biting its ear off. The wolf yelped and ran off. Before the other humans could find out, Kallea took her prize and dragged it into camp. She breathed heavily.
