Xavier watched the sky begin to lighten. He walked to the newly filled kill pile, and began to naw on a buck. Being a bigger wolf, he was going to eat almost all of it. He continued munching on its flesh.

Star peeked out of her den, and watched the alpha, her brother, eat. Next White Flame would eat, then Daze, then herself, then the omega, then the new girl, Candy, since she had not yet been fully accepted into the pack yet. Star Gazer desparatley wanted to spend another day with White Flame, but she knew today was the day she would test Candy to see if she was a huntress or not. She watched the alpha eat patiently.

Xavier smiled at his sister as he finished up his fill. He licked his maw, wiping the blood from his purple fur. He approached Star Gazer and sat beside her. They were just outside the hunting den. "How are you, Star Gazer?"

"I'm fine thank you, brother." She replied with a smile. She rubbed herself affectionately against Xaviers back.

White Flame stood outside of his den, smelling the crisp, morning air. He spotted Xavier and Star in the clearing and padded over to them. "Hey Star and Xavier!" He barked picking out a small doe from the overflowing kill pile. He last near Xavier, his gaze fell onto Xavier for a moment or so before he began to eat his prey. "It looks like we are not going to hunt for a while," White Flame joked to Star nodded to the kill pile and looked back to Star.

Daze sat, awaiting White Flame to pick out his food from his den. When his brother settled down he went out himself to pick out some prey. He pulled out a medium sized buck, glancing back to the den where Candy was. He knew she would have to pick out her prey last, so he lay down near Xavier, Star and White Flame. He looked up trying to catch his brother's eye, but White Flame refused to look at him.

Star started to frown as everyone approached the entrance of her den, feeling uneasy. People rarely came to the huntress den, except Xavier. Then she smiled remembering they were all friends and it wouldn't matter much. They just wanted to have breakfast together. As Daze settled down Star bounded forward taking a fawn from the pile. She settled back down next to her brother.

Xavier smiled at his friends and began affectionately grooming Star as she ate.

She slid out of her den to see the rest of the pack already eating. She didn't want to get a whole deer for herself, she knew she couldn't finish it. She decided to wait and she would have what ever was left over from someone else's deer. She sat down and waited to eat, she didn't mind waiting she wasn't to hungry anyway.

Electra Heart

The wolf yawned and trotted out of the camp for a morning walk. She loved the mornings for some reason. To her they were always different. But in a way she liked! She smiled looking up into the trees then back down at the grass in front of her. She shook out her blue fur and continued on her walk. Maybe she could catch something out this early. She slowed a little more careful of where she was stepping. She lowered herself to the ground and stalked forward her eyes narrowed.

Candy Hearts

She woke up and yawned. She had had a good nights sleep and was feeling ready for a day of hunting. But she stayed in a laying position. She could still get some more rest. (WB)

Daze finished up with his prey and cleaned his paws. He glanced at Xavier and Star, feeling envy spike inside of him. He wanted a brother or anyone he could trust or rely and be close with. Daze stood up and bowed his head to Xavier, "I am going to patrol the border," he stated to his alpha knowing that it was part of duty being a warrior.

White Flame looked up at his brother slightly confused, Daze never really volunteered to do something on a regular bases. He knew something was up and glanced over at Xavier.

Daze swished his tail as he turned and walking into the forest. There had been so many things nagging at him and he needed some time to himself. He felt the breeze ruffle his fur and he turned to glance back at White Flame.

Star also knew something was up with Daze. She watched Candy wake up but not move. "Will on of you howl when Candy is ready? I think I'll help Daze." She stated and got up, leaving her bones behind.

Xavier nodded to Daze, and then to Star. "I'll howl." As she left Xavier returned his glance to White Flame. "How have you been, beta?" He asked.

White Flame looked over at Xavier, his face started to heat up under Xavier's gaze. They had been friends for a while and it had almost never been awkward between them, and he intended to keep it that way. "It has been pretty interesting lately," White Flame said, thinking about what to say, "I mean it isn't everyday you get the chance to learn something drastically new." He commented, looked back at the past day's events. "But how have you been?" He asked, "Alpha," White Flame added, a grin spreading across his face.

Daze looked over his shoulder at Star, "What made you decide to come with me?" He asked, letting his tail brush against the floor. He glanced around the forest as they headed towards the border. Daze looked back Star, expecting to come up with some long explanation saying that it had nothing to do with him. He hoped that this wasn't the case and that maybe she wanted to spend time with him. Daze smirked and flicked his tail, unable to contain all of flirtation behavior. Over the years he learned that she wasn't the best when it came to Star, and being extremely flirtation with her never turned out good.

Star rolled her eyes at Daze, but felt her heart pounding in her chest. No, she didn't like him, and yes, sometimes he was very annoying, but secretly, she was actually flattered by his flirting. "I couldn't trust you out here alone. You might just find another loner and get with her too.." She said with a slight frown. She walked infront of him, her fur brushing against him as she passed.

Xavier laughed in his deep hearty way. "Oh White Flame," He laughed, "You can always make me laugh." He smiled, and returned to his more business like actions. Of coarse, it was warmer than how he usually acted, since he had known White Flame from birth. No, not directly related, but their mothers were in the nursury together. "I have been just fine."

Daze laughed and slightly shook his head, "I guess then you shouldn't trust me," he joked, reflecting on what happened with Candy. He didn't show it, but he felt a little bit of disappointment, for he had hoped that maybe.... No, she would never like him, Star has made that very clear. "So what's up?" He asked, breaking the silence.

White Flame smiled at Xavier wider at his laugh. He was careful not to take it directly to his heart and create false hope, but he did feel better spirited. "So tell me, why is the flawless alpha who everyone looks up to only feeling 'just fine'?" He asked. There was no envy in his voice, only humor, sincereness, and even a little bit of concern sounded in his words.
