She startled at the sound of the wolf. "Hey, sheesh!" Her words seemed careless, as if she wasn't on edge. Her body language, however, spoke differently. Castle reacted to the tense body language of this mysterious wolf, and her hackles rose. "C'mon out. Just come out. I don't know what you're talking about, I've treaded this path a million times over." She relaxed, beckoning this stranger out of the woods. The trees blocked the sunlight for the most part, leaving the forest a shade darker than the world around it. Castle could make out the outline of the female, and her scent, but not much more than that. Hopefully she'd be friendly and not some kind of Midnight scout. "Who are you?"

He laughed, relaxing a little. "I love you, Spirit." The words flowed naturally, despite the fact he'd never said them to her. As much as he'd liked to. Finally Duke had found the courage to voice his emotions. He knew for sure he loved Spirit. Licking her cheek, he wagged his tail softly, showing his contentment and pleasure in the company of Spirit. Sunlight made his black-and-white-splattered paws seemed bright and glowing compared to the darkness of the rest of the cave. Duke looked down at his paws and laughed. It seemed as if his toes were some sort of glow in the dark. He quickly returned his undivided attention to Spirit, giving her time to talk.

"Oh.. Yes." Dutch felt that this topic was covered; neither found Midnight ruling the forest an acceptable option. Dutch would fight. Not for Jasper, no. But he would fight against Midnight. When he had first joined Midnight, it seemed to perfectly match him. But deep down, Dutch was good. Midnight was truly evil. "Anyways.. How's hunting coming lately?" The question was fairly random, but Dutch hadn't done much hunting in his life. He was a fighter, not a hunter, and he assumed that Lily, as a rogue, had done lots. Best to hear from the experts, Dutch figured. "I was a fighter, you see. Not that I am unable to hunt, of course. I just don't spend much time on it. I'll have to now, fending for myself." He grumbled softly. Packs were good for helping each other, but Dutch had no intention of joining Jasper, and certainly not Midnight. NightShade? Too, well, shady for Dutch to like.

Ah, revenge. A common factor of the stay-and-fight response. Trisha understood her words yet still, she didn't agree. All the wolves that Midnight would kill could be brought with them. "But isn't this battle just going to kill more? Although I hate the idea of them ruling the forest, as well.." It was quite the controversy.. The Midnights in charge would be awful, but so would the deaths brought on by the war. "Now that you're in the fight, just win it." Trisha knew the Jaspers couldn't back down now and she didn't want to make Anaya regret her decision because she was already injured and under stress. She smiled encouragingly.

The body language presented by this threatening female was almost laughable. She threatened, and then shuffled her paws with a look of a am-I-about-to-be-scolded pup look on her face. "Meh. Dutch considered it, deciding quickly. "Sure." He normally wouldn't do something like that, or stay with anyone, but he needed somewhere to be. "Okay, that would work." He felt the tiredness come onto him like a very heavy blanket. The war was exhausting.. Fighting in general took a lot out of you. "I'm rather tired. Fighting depletes me." He said, voice just above a mutter. It seemed that being tired was sometimes a sign of weakness, but right now he only wanted to shut his eyes. His fur felt so warm and cozy, the perfect self-made bed. He laid down his head softly on to his tail, and closed his eyes.

Anaya sounded so sure. Trisha would very much like to believe her, and she did. They had great fighters within Jasper, and even some loners and NightShades couldn't bear the thought of Midnight ruling. It seemed most of the valley was united against Midnight, putting Jasper as the top pack to rule the forest. "That's good to hear. I believe in you and the pack." She realized that Kai was gone, and she sighed softly and sadly. Anaya must be crushed. Trisha gently licked her cheek, then met the female's eyes to tell her that she knew what had happened. Kai was either missing or dead, and neither were good. "Are you hungry?" She nodded to the large deer she'd hunted. "You can eat some; you must be famished."
