Inferno gave a happy whinny as Iris showed more movement. "Iris?" He nickered quietly and nosed her neck. He shifted back so she could have more space. The bay fixed excited dark eyes on the pretty roan. Shifting to stand himself he nosed her again, wondering if he was dreaming or she really was getting back up. As much as he desired for her to stay he would let her go, just as long as she was alive.

Iris shook out her black mane and her knees buckled, sending her back down to the cave floor. She snorted loudly before standing up again and this time managing to get to a cave wall and lean against it. She panted softly, her sides heaving. She glanced around the cave with wide eyes. She looked like a filly that was just learning to walk. Iris leaned her body against the cave wall. She clamped her tail down automatically when her eyes flicked across Inferno. She pinned her ears and bared her teeth at him, stepping backwards to press her rump against the wall. "Who are you? Where am I? How do you know my name?" She snarled.

Nightingale sqealed running behind Inferno. The shire's curly mane covering her face. "What does she mean?" she asked her stallion. The mare was both frightened and worried. Teribbly worried. One moment Iris is sweet..and the next. She acts like she didn't reconginze them.

"My name is Inferno. I helped save you from freezing to death. You warmed up here...must have lost your memory. I swear on my life I would never lie to you or hurt you.: Hus eyes were soft and honest. Flicking his ears back in a dip of his head he watched her cauriously, glancing back at Night with a nicker. "Please just...try to relax..."

Iris kept her ears pinned. "I don't believe one word that comes out of your muzzle. I know for one fact that I would never ever join a stallions herd and let him help me!" She snarled and pressed herself harder against the back of the cave keeping her ears pinned and her tail clamped. "So tell me the truth!" She demanded harshly. "And I will not obey any command that you give me. I am a mare. Not a machine that you use for bloodline expanding."

The cremello mare looked at the blur roan in curiosity. "Iris? I believe that is your name right?" she asked, for once the young mare's tone was quiet and soothing. "It's alright, you're safe. Inferno saved you" she said gently, her blue eyes showing calmness. She kept her distance as she didn't want to frighten the mare.

He nudged some of the food Cloud had collected closer to the mare, but didn't say a word. Edge knew that one of the stallions would have to leave over Spring, but he also knew that Cloud and Dee had grown close and that the stallion wouldn't leave easily. It was also probably true that Cloud would make a better sire than he, since he was so caring and gentle.

The icy breeze had calmed slightly. Feather swerved her ears sheepishly as she picked up on her own heat scent. She clamped her tail to her rump and trotted through the winter snow, her eyes looking around for any other horses. She was a little tired after walking for so long, but she wanted to find others of her kind.

The dun mares head shot up as she awoke from her nightmare. She calmed instantly as she saw Pixar was still right there beside her. She rested her head down on the ground to await the waking of the grey stallion. She sighed as she realized she was in heat. Spring... A difficult season but still one of her favorites. She adored seeing all the baby animals

Nightingale moved back alittle. "Do you remember anything?" she asked calmly. Making sure she was a safe distance incase she were to get attacked on. maybe it was the heat? Ofcourse Night wouldn't know since she's infertile. The shire layed near the cave, keeping awatchful eye

It was everything he coould to keep sane. "I...No...you are not in my herd..." His eyes remained on the ground, full of hurt. His body language displayed defeat. He saved her...for this...? "I would never use a mare for some type of foal machiene...Night here" He gestured to his beloved black shire mare. " She is incapable of having foals. But I would never let her go. I love her. And I know Mares are strong. Most stronger than me. To have to deal with stallions...I really thought you were some kind of gift to me...This is my fault. Go ahead. Beat me up. But if you go out there...I would never be the same." Inferno frowned. It hurt just to imagine her leaving.


Dee ate a but that Edge had given her and flicked her tail, quickly regretting it. She sheepishly smiled to Edge and scooted closer to the entrance away from them both.

He looked at Dee "You don't have to hide it from us" he nickered calmly, his long tail flicking gently behind him. "Self Control" he assured her softly.

Iris snorted. "Go ahead and love her and don't think that I love you. I'd never love a stallion. Even if you say you wouldn't use me for a machine. I don't believe you. All of you stallions are the same. Don't deny it." She snarled and ignored Dancer. "Don't even try finding me by the way." She snapped before stalking out of the cave, her hooves clopping against the cave floor. She sank into the snow but ignored it pushing herself farther and farther away from Inferno. Her body was full of anger and hatred.

Pixar raised his dapple grey head and nuzzled Hope. "Quite early for you to be up no?" He murmured softly grooming her creamy colored mane softly. He twitched his ears to the outside of the cave, smiling softly. The storm was somewhat over. It was lightening up which was great. He snorted softly as Hopes scent filled his nose, but he liked her scent. It was sweet like her.
