An unusually calm look had settled across Jasper's delicate features as he let his question float in the air. It was almost ironic, how much things had changed for him since the time he had become an official Hunter. Moonlight had once made him extremely nervous, undoubtedly due to her rank over his own. Now, though, while he wouldn't consider them official friends, they were acquaintances. Companions. He held onto anything and everything they said; she wasn't Elder-old, but her words were often laced with a lot of wisdom. He frequently wondered where she scrambled all that up.

When she did speak, he allowed himself to tune back into the moment, fixating his gaze upon her own. "We'll go easy on you," he murmured in response, the quickest flick of his tail indicating he was teasing, which was relatively uncommon for the tomcat. "It would be nice to get out and stretch your legs; it might not seem like it, but it gets crampy in the camp." Jasper rose to his paws, his long legs swivelling him around. "I'll go collect a few others," he told her, dipping his head quickly before trotting off. His attention was captured by movement in the corner, and when he turned his head, he was delighted to see Shiro strolling back into camp. "Shiro," he called, turning yet again to head in her direction. "I see you've been busy already, but I was wondering if you'd like to join Moonlight and I on an early morning hunt?"

Bramble couldn't define himself as a lazy cat, someone who despised work. He did his job, and when he put his mind to it, he did it well. He simply wasn't a workaholic. It was a bit of a conflicting situation, really; he was naturally a very antsy cat, eager to stretch his legs and do something other than laying around, but at the same time, unless he really wanted to, he didn't usually perk up and bound over to every single cat within the camp to see if there was extra work that needed to be done. His job was mellow; how often did two rivalry prides willingly want to speak to one another? In fact, since Shiyu was appointed Messenger Trainee, they had only had one message to deliver. He crinkled his nose. "I'm bored," he responded, tone almost bitter. "The Chief has little to say to Earth Pride nowadays, and everyone seems to forget that I can do more than just walk and talk." That was almost ironic, since Bramble surely did have a lot to say at all hours of the day. "I feel bad for Shiyu, though," he continued, his tone almost a bit softer, more sympathetic. "I don't think he's been learning much. It would even be nice if Bat asked me to deliver a fake message or something, just to get Shiyu's paws wet. You know? It's fine, though," he sighed, arching his back for yet another satisfying stretch. "I'm happy cat watching."

Even at that, though, there wasn't much happening within the pride. Bramble loved hearing about the latest drama regarding two cats, and yet, even that had been limited lately. Things seemed peaceful. Too peaceful. "Maybe it's just the whole 'I need to choose a Second' scenario that's thrown things off, but nothing's happening around here. It used to be fun. Now I feel like everyone's just grim and dull and..." Bramble's voice cut off and he crinkled his nose yet again. "I'm ready for some action."

Kali wasn't sure how long she was hanging around, doing little more than observing. Watching the way the cats intermingled with one another, watching how the sun created a perfect outline of the trees that gave them infinite protection. Watching the way a fatigued snail slunk by, leaving a trail of shimmery slime behind, marking its presence. Snails were such fascinating creatures.

She caught sight of a figure brushing past her, drawing her attention away from the little creature. Long, black fur; ears up and alert; head drooping low, indicating she was still filled with sleep. L'Anda. Kaliska didn't speak to the she-cat very often. To Kali, L'Anda had a respectable, important position, and Kaliska didn't wish to interfere with that. That said, she couldn't help but acknowledge the tinkling in her paws, urging her to approach the Messenger. Only hesitating a split second, Kaliska pushed herself upright, carefully holding her injured leg up higher than the rest as she headed towards the Messenger. She only stopped once, and that was to flick her tail in greeting as she passed by Micah, one of her friends in the Pride. Then she was off again.

"Good morning, L'Anda," she greeted after she was within a decent enough distance to know she wouldn't be practically yelling her greetings. "What's the plan for today? Any exciting news to deliver?"

The black healer padded out of the healer's den, looking around the camp for the others, her eyes stopped at the Karter and Bat for a moment but shook her head then 'stupid heart...' they thought. Looking to the fresh-kill pile she thought to take a small breakfast, before asking for someone to accompany her to get some herbs the herd storage was low off.

He looked around for a moment, nodding to his sister there, and looked over to his mother too, which was talking with the Morain there. As he noticed his mentor he dashed toward the larger tom "Bramble... morning Kazill" he responded with a small nod to the guard.

She looked at the two talking there, not wanting to disturb them in any way. She turned to Morain when it seemed like the chief was leaving "Could I organize patrols for this morning? It seems like the pride is pretty much awakened by now" she said silently her eyes wandering around her pride mates.

He peeked out of the omegas den, hating to be there, but what could he do about that. He did the mistake and now is getting his punishment for that. His eyes narrowed as he looked at some of the guards there, any of them may take his place as a lead guard anytime soon, it sure made him angry. As an omega, he needs to start his hard work to get into the more suitable ranks again, maybe never getting into any of them any longer.

He rolled his eyes "no you're wrong buddy, your mentor was pretty much awakened...so you could get up now before she comes there to pick you up" he responded. He flicked his tail as he thought "I could get to my mentor too, so come on and let's start the day" he called out with a loud meow. ¨
He left the den, giving a quick look to see if the other trainee was getting out too, smiling as he did so. Flicking his tail he half run to the scout there "hola my lovely mentor? anything for us to do today?" he asked excitedly.

Yawning the black she-cat walked up to the den, blinking her eyes she looked around the camp to see who was up and who wasn't. Stretching she eyed the fresh-kill pile there, but there was not that many, which was nothing new at this early as likely only a few hunters were gone out for solo hunts.

She didn't have much time to relax after getting some small prey to the camp for her solo hunts before the other hunter approved her. She managed to do a quick face wash before looking over at Jasper "Mornings Jasper" she purred softly listening to the rest he needed to say "yes I was out yes, but it was just a small hunt, I am not tired or anything so..yes I am up for more hunts" she responded to the tom, she did find very handsome and he was nice.

He sighed as he listened to the scout trainee there "always so noisy aren't we...buddy" he said with another deep yawn before he jumped up to his paws. He gave a few licks to his chest fur and looked over at Arashi "yes, you're right...it's the time to get up and go" he meowed. He walked out of the den, his eyes looking over to the small group around the Gale, the other young tom who seriously caught his attention.

He flicked his ears before blinking toward the speaker, a small snarl escaped to his mouth "Of course it is, is always time to wake up...why does the best part in life the night goes so fast?" he murmured with a sight. He narrowed his eyes with a yawn "so what do you need? what do we do?" he asked rather an uninterest to anything at the moment, except to get some more sleep.

She looked as she left to take some supplies, she took some wet moss to the walls for the warmness. She looked back at the hunter when she got back "well, small but not too small, paw-sized, slender, must not be round which can roll away... branches light and slender, pretty much simple branches could be the best ones...maybe birch twigs or if found so willow" she tried to explain.

"You’re right." Kaz would’ve been bitter in Bramble's position too, given a Trainee and yet nothing for them to train about. Only one message in all that time though? Really? "Have you brought it up with the Chief? Or Reimei?" With No Vice-Captain at the moment, the duties of both the Vice-Captain and Leads would fall on the Captain's shoulders until someone was appointed. "Heck, even Móraín? Chief Bat listens to her."

Kaz was jealous of that sometimes. When had the last time HE'D made a suggestion and been listened to by one of the higher ups been? He couldn’t remember. "Maybe once Bat actually chooses Leads and a Second, we'll be in a better setup for getting things done around here," he suggested hopefully.

Kesteral was quiet as he listened to the she-cats as they conversed, his pelt prickled with embarrassment as he thought over his comment from earlier 'of course I wouldnt attack unprovoked never the less start a war' he thought to himself, flicking an ear he picked up his pace until he was beside Katherine "the tension between the Pride's will always be there but that doesnt me that we cant be peaceful with one another and make life a little easier for everyone" Kesteral chimed in.

narrowing her eyes in return the orange tabby let out a small grumble "well what I want you to do is get your hindquarters out of that nest and get something to eat" she huffed before pulling her head from the den, allowing him to exit "you're gonna need the energy for the training we are gonna do" Crowley added as she drew a paw over her head.

Kaz glanced over his shoulder at Shiyu as he approached. "Good morning, Shiyu. If you guys need some time, I can find somewhere else to be." Far be it from him to interrupt a learning Trainee, after all! That said, Bramble had just said there wasn’t much to do. Maybe it was time to talk to someone about that.

"Oh I’m not accusing anyone, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t intend it to come off that way." Shade flicked her black striped tail back and forth. Being this close to the border always made her a bit antsy, only proving Kesteral's previous point. "I should hope that with time, things will settle enough that we at least won’t have to walk on eggshells when we want to get out and stretch out legs," she added after a moment. "That’s all I wish for, honestly."

Móraín turned her gaze to the Captain, tilting her head to the side. "Why are you asking me? I’m a Guard and Advisor, not a cat of command," she pointed out, but it was still nice to know that someone looked up to her, in a way. "I’m sure our lovely Chief would appreciate it if you did," she agreed.

"You could probably steal a nap if you needed to. I do it all the time," Karter admitted. Of course, regularly waking up with the sun may contribute a bit to that. "I’ll cover whatever you're assigned to if I can," he offered. A genuine offer. He didn’t usually put himself out there, but friends were different.

"You wanted to let her know you were feeling a bit neglected after all this time, right? Incorporate it somewhere in there? Just like that, but maybe like 'is there anything I can help with? I feel like I haven’t been doing enough.' or something along those lines. Not accusatory, but getting a point across," Ryder suggested.

Hunter's dark eyes lazily flicked over the cats in camp, settling on one of them staring at the dwindling prey pile. He rose to his paws and shook out his pale coat. "Well, are you going to grab some before another cat gets to it first, or not?" He prompted, walking over to join her, Kade at his side, more to keep him in check than anything, for fear of his companion getting sharp with yet another of their Pridemates.

"Gotcha!" Micah winked. Then she rushed off, darting out into the forest. It took a while, gathering what she hoped would be enough supplies, but it was nice to get out of camp for a few minutes, as well as helping a friend. When she returned, she unceremoniously dumped the supplies. "Will this be enough?"

Crescent heaved himself onto his paws. He yawned and stretched himself out. He walked into camp, where he saw some cats awake and moving already. He blinked, letting his eyes adjust to the morning light.

Jasper came to a halt in front of her upon realizing he appeared far too rushed, requesting her time before having even stopped to say hello. Flickering his ears back in slight embarrassment, he dipped his head in return. "Good morning, Shiro," he said, as if restarting the conversation. "I hope your hunt went well." Shiro was a good Hunter, an impressive one who deserved full respect. Even though Jasper was nothing more than a Hunter, an equal amongst the other Hunters, he still couldn't help but feel grateful for her dedication. And a little surprised that he hadn't seen her out when he had gone.

Within seconds, he was back to business, as if suddenly remembering why he had approached her in the first place. He let his bright green eyes connect with her pretty blue ones, holding her gaze with ease. "That would be great," he returned. "I'll go get our Chief." Jasper only paused for a fleeting second, unsure if Shiro would wait there or follow him, but didn't wait for her to make a final decision. Instead, he trotted back over to Moonlight, flicking the tip of his tail to catch her attention. "Shiro has accepted my request," he informed the Chief. "Are you ready to leave now?"

Off the top of his head, Bramble couldn't remember whether or not Kaz had been given a trainee to take under his wing before. Kaz was younger than Bramble by a few months; he did remember a brief moment of sharing a den with the now-Guard. He supposed he hadn't paid much attention to what the others were doing, though. Trainees came and went. They hadn't had very many within the last bit, though. It was almost a bit concerning. "Móraín or Reimei are my best options," he said in a matter-of-fact tone. Bramble hadn't ever openly spoken bitterly about Bat, and while he had grown to respect him as Chief, Bat's naive nature did make Bramble question his upcoming decisions quite a bit. He had nothing personal against Bat... his quiet nature just sided away from what Bramble had always envisioned as a leader. "He's a bit... slow." Bramble made sure to keep his tone low and choose his words carefully; there were always one or two cats that would rat out anyone and everyone if given the chance. "I've often found it concerning, how much he relies on others. But what do I know? I'm the cat without a job to do." A thick amount of sarcasm rolled off that last phrase, and with a shake of his head, he looked away.

He was hooked on Kaz's choice of the word "actually". While he wasn't about to openly confront Kaz about it, Bramble couldn't help but wonder what Kaz's own opinions were regarding the black cat. "One day something'll happen," he sighed. "And we can only hope we'll be prepared."

He tilted his head to the right as a black and white pelt came into view, partially blocking the little line of sun that was beaming down on Bramble's coat. His head perked up a bit more upon realizing who it was, and he adjusted his position so that he was sitting up a bit more upright. "G'morning," he echoed in greeting. "Good sleep?" He glanced back over at Kaz as he perked up again. "Not yet," he assured the Guard. "Unless a Hunter or someone asks us to come with. Or better yet, Bat will have something personal for us to tackle."

It gave her great pleasure, hearing her name come out of the mouth of the Messenger. Kaliska felt relatively accepted within the Pride, with the exception of a small handful of cats, but she hadn't been there long. Just under two months, to be exact. And she was an Omega; she knew how some of the camp members viewed the role. Even though Kali did her best not to let the low rank get to her head, for a rank was simply a title and she was more than willing to do whatever she needed to to prove her stay as worthy, she certainly didn't expect many cats to really know who she was. So it was nice to come to the understanding that L'Anda was indeed one of those cats.

"You've got a good eye!" she chirped, ears perking up. Sure, Kaliska enjoyed watching the cats interact every now and then, but they all seemed close and friendly with one another. Relationships, the Messenger thought? Kali hadn't suspected anything along those lines, but now she was utterly curious. "Tensions... in a bad way?" Her eyes grew wider as she fixated her attention on the she-cat. "Is that spoken by your role as a Messenger, or as a cat living within Earth Pride?" L'Anda seemed like someone who had a good head on her shoulders; Kaliska believed what she said, even if she hadn't caught onto it herself. When the question was returned back onto her, it took the Omega an extra moment to respond, despite the simplicity in her answer; "Oh, I'm just fine! I haven't experienced anything new or out of the ordinary... just doing the usual side chores, as required."

The friendly and playful, cuddly and sweet cute little boy yawned. The stubborn, hard headed, shy and sometimes nervous one blinked golden eyes. The white furred off white eared one walked along. He hadn't seen the messenger, his trainer, yet that day. He headed to the medicine den, hoping he was allowed...He found Gale there, saying "H...ahem, hello Gale."

The average height but slender light brown beauty looked at her paws a moment. She shook her head a couple times. She raised her head when the black she cat spoke. She kept green eyes on her this time, and took another breath. "Ro- romantic- it's a crush!" she exclaimed, then shook herself. She sighed and calmed herself, then said "It's a crush, yes..."

The sweet and gentle pretty little red thing was still sleeping. She jerked a bit, paws moving and tail flicking about quickly. The shy and nervous brown patched one, with high white, shivered. The tabby (in the red) she cat finally jerked awake. Brown eyes glanced about, and white whiskers twitched. The darker pink nosed one shook her head and stood.

The green eyed fluffy black she cat made a small sound. She asked "Is she...alright? Is she sick?" she asked, knowing the she cat was older. It was easier for them to get sick or hurt. She then shook her head a couple times. She said "Nothing new with me, and my life's been...good I guess. It's basically the same as usual," she laughed. She then went back to the beginning of the conversation. "I know you'll be better, make time for me or whatever when you can." Glancing to Rose, she said "Karter is right, you can go nap. I'm sure our great and wonderful leader won't mind just this once."

The gentle, sweet, friendly, and playful slightly smaller and slender male began to eat his bird. The other three were engrossed in conversation. It didn't bother him at all. Gave him more time to eat his food, so he could find a captain or someone to ask.

The happy go lucky but cold and cruel (when needed) handsome golden male yawned. He'd gone scouting, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. He watched a bird fly over head. Shaking his head, the slightly bigger semi fluffy golden male hurried back to camp. Seeing that bird had made him hungry. Blue eyes were immediately drawn to the prey pile.
