voodoo tossed his head, his bi-colored mane draped down his neck and shoulders. the heat of the day had just begun, and voodoo was cooling off in the river. his creme colored hooves clicked against the river rocks while he lowered his muzzle to the water for a drink. suddenly his frame lifted from the water with a squeal of excitement, his hooves thrashing. water was thrown in all directions as voodoo thrashed around, bucking, rearing, and kicking out. voodoo settled quickly and cautiously walked down the river a short distance. he flicked his tail onto his rump at a couple pesky deer flies. he heard a noise to his left, out in the prairie, through the brush. his ears perked up as he noticed a spotted figure a short ways out. voodoo emitted a soft nicker before heading up the riverbank and through the shrubbery. he lifted his tail with an arch to his neck and flaunted his masculine figure. he swished his tail from side to side before picking up a steady, casual canter. he had hoped this horse was a mare, of course, however he stopped a few paces from her to allow her to either come to him and accept him or try to bolt.
