He nickered to the mares and danced in a circle around them. His dappled coat shone in the sun and his muscles rippled. He nickered, "Hello ladies,"He nipped a rump and sniffed at the air.

Cowgirl watched her brother and rolled her eyes. She looked like his twin, she was just shorter and a little darker. This could be an advantage. The stallions would think she was a stallion and leave her be. She grazed quietly and stopped when she smelled that familiar scent. Shoot, my heat scent. She stamped a hoof and brought up her head, looking for anyone tat had smelled it yet. Her heart had sunk.

HOPE'S ETERNAL FLAME
The dun mare looked over the tall stallion with a type of curious nature that lingered deep within her gentle brown eyes. "Oh?" she nickered "Well yes, but I haven't much choice" she shrugged "There is no shelter and my family are miles away". She wondered what this stallion might be thinking, it was hard to tell with her vision of the broad horse blurred by the snow. She sneezed as another cold shiver ran down her spine, she wasn't the correct breed to be stuck in the snow, but she survived.

A shrill whinny came from the light colored mare. Tossing her head, she gave her dark tail a flick and let her scent spread. maybe she could find a descent stallion this season. Her ears flicking around to the different figures, she searched for some entertainment. A smooth canter led her swiftly through the snow, her odd coat and tail colors she was rather proud of gleaming against the white. Her scent had started up a few days ago, as she had never had a foal it was a larger range of time it was there. Dark eyes scanned over the others, another whinny escaping her.

Approaching a few mares, the tall bay snorted. In search of heat scents, his stud past showing. He tossed his head, his still short mane revealing a muscled neck. Hos long legs moved in stong strides over the snow, little clouds around his hooves. Inferno let out a loud call in a social manner, wishing to talk with anyone around. The Teke was bored now from so much wandering, wondering if his sister would appear like she had said she would one day. It had been ages. Catching one or two faint scents he paused, a cloud sweeping up in front of him and fading away.

Nightingale's mane blew across her face. She snorted looking down at a frozen stream. "None of us will last longer if theres no water." she sighed. Thankful she atleast had a think coat,which gaurdered her mostly from the harsh, winter winds and blizards. She really wished she had a herd. She was so desperate that she didn't care if the stallion was abusive, she just wanted shelter. The sad part was that there were foals out there. The mare sighed, raking her hoof in the snow. The pile leaning against her back leg. Breathing in she let out a long, desperate whinny.

Broken trotted, hopping over the dunes of snow that seemed to grow bigger every year. He snorted his breath visible as cold, bitter smoke. He was quite proud of his athletic build, which helped when it came to piles of the frozen water, or ethier running away from an avalanche. His ears flicked, looking around his sourrundings. Finding it just the same as always. Vacant. With the occasional herd every so often.
