{ ♥ the simple things in life

    "My name is Chenoa. My mother used to tell me that when I was born, I was as pure as the winter snow. She felt as though it would have been unoriginal to name me after something so lifeless, so why not name me after a beautiful bird? That's where my name comes from. Chenoa in a Native American language simply means 'dove'. Sometimes I don't understand her reasoning, considering my personality, but I do love it because she gave it to me."

    "I'd like to think I'm older than three years, but that comes with time, doesn't it? Other wolves always note how I do not seem like I'm three. I suppose it's due to the fact that I prefer mentoring young pups, talking with the elders and controlling the situation. That's a different story, though."

    "If you cannot tell my gender by now, I think those traitors aren't the only ones with problems. Obviously, I am a female and proud to be one. Although, we always have quite the responsibility. We have to be healthy and raise the best pups so that they can protect us when we become elders, and so on."

    "My place in the pack is actually quite nice, mostly because I love what I do. I'm one of the hunters, although one day I truly hope to become Delta Female."

    Chenoa is a petite wolf, standing at about twenty-six inches just above her fore-head, which causes her to be all the more agile. Despite her slender build, the meat on her limbs is pure muscle rather than fat or simply fur. Her coat is pure-toned, or 'dove white', with a few hints of grey in places such as her muzzle, auditories, tail, spine, and stomach. Her irises are a hue of amber with sprays and whisks of a lighter brown.

{ ♥ take a look through my eyes

    "I guess you can say I'm all over the place,
    as far as personality goes. The easiest thing to do is dissect it,
    correct? So, let's go with three parts to my personality.

    As Sharp As Nails

    Some wolves tell me I have an attitude or a tongue as sharp as nails, which I'm not sure if I should take that as a compliment or them being rude. I'm not always stubborn and hard-headed, but I can be often. I don't like to make many decisions as I'm afraid the opposite will not like my choice, so do not ask me to do something alike to it. I won't choose where to go, what to hunt or anything else, unless I'm really sure about it. Plus, I don't want to do something wrong or embarrass myself. I can be very defensive around the people I care for, which apparently isn't that many. Yes, I was born a Rogue, but I've been on my own for quite some time. I've never found other Rogues that I actually liked to be around, as a matter of fact I've only come across a couple. As long as you don't cross me or piss me off, we'll be fine.

    As Blank As Snow

    I guess I have what's called 'armor' or a 'mask' that I often wear. Not just around others, but in general. Sometimes others ask me why I act so fake or why I can be so guarded, but it's not like I want to be. I wear my mask so that I trust the right wolves and only certain ones - I suppose I just don't want to get hurt or heartbroken. I will often smile or brush off any bad situation when I have that bubble of protection around me, so don't expect too much emotion.

    As Delicate As A Fawn

    If I'm honest, I'm not as tough as I act around others. Yes, I'm defensive of wolves that I care for and defensive of younglings but that doesn't mean that I'm hard-core. I often find myself being too sensitive and sweet to others, which I suppose is how I got into a huge mess with a male I was in love with. I took everything for granted and figured I wouldn't get hurt, so I completely put myself out there. You can assume how that went. Anyway, if you are close enough to me I can be very kind-hearted and often have to check up on you to make sure you're okay. If you do one thing to break my trust, I can't promise you that I will want to see you after that."

    "My likes? Well, I guess I like to be around other wolves. Although, that doesn't happen to often considering we're practically outcasts. I'm looking for other Rogues, so maybe I'll find buddies there. I love to be in the company of pups as well, and don't mind playing with them. It's those flirty young ones I'm not sure I can stand. I also love the snow and love to run through fields, with or without snow. I enjoy hunting and basking in the summer sun, usually perched on some sort of stone or boulder so it's warmer. I know I like and love other things, but there's too many to speak of. Just ask me, instead."

    "I dislike flirty males and the ones that think they can catch you with a smirk or a wink of their droopy eyelid. Just because they're naturally larger and stronger, they think they're all that. I also don't like it when people speak badly of their parents or of Rogues, but I guess that's natural because of what happened to my family. If there's anything else I don't like, you'll know."

{ ♥ make your own trail

    "I don't really remember my background as a pup, but I do remember the stories that my mom used to speak to me about. Well, real stories, not myths or lies. I was born as a longer, or some say 'rogue', and nothing else, due to my parents being rogues before me. When I was a young pup my mother knew there might be a day when I would live on my own, so she started teaching me life-skills when I was quite little. At a year old I was fascinated by hunting, captivated by every scent and enjoyed the odd feelings of the four season. She taught me how to sniff my way to where wolverines would hide their meat, to listen carefully for the signs of nearby water and how to always make sure I watched my back. I wasn't looking to get killed, either, so I was constantly listening. When I was a year old, or about that old, my parents were taken away from me by unknown wolves. I remember that day when I went out to search for them and never got a reply. In my heart, I know they're dead, but now they're watching over me instead. For a few years, now, I have lived in the sanctuary of our pack and have earned my place as Hunter. One day I hope to earn the trust of the Alpha and gain a higher status."

    "Well I was born as a rogue because of my parents, but they were murdered by unknown wolves over two years ago. I've learned to adapt, but I'd rather not talk about that anymore. I've never known about any siblings, either, so I'm not sure if I even have any. I don't have a crush either, so it would be nice if people stopped asking and guessing."

{ ♥ the simple things in life

    "The Son of Chaos - I guess I deserved that name, as a pup. I spent much of my time as a youngling getting myself into trouble, and I suppose my parents could tell I would the day I was brought into this Hell-hole. If The Son of Chaos is too much for you to handle, you can simply call me Chaos. It's less of a mouth-full, I presume."

    "Last time I checked, I'm four winters and six full moons old - or four years and six months, if you're that clueless. I prefer to be around those my age, which means I don't want to be around those..younglings."

    "Are you kidding me? I bet six squirrels that I'm larger than you, not to mention my great, manly complexion. Of course I'm a brute, alright? Just try and take me on."

    "Well, I was once I fighter, but I'm hoping to rank up to Lead Fighter at this point. I have grown strong and ready to take on the position of protecting this pack. I hope to even be honored enough to, one day, become an Alpha Guard. But for now I am happy with the rank I have."

    The Son of Chaos has a deep coat, often leaning towards black in places along his skull, spine and tail. His fur is a deep red-brown, often lightening down towards his chest and under-belly, but tends to stay dark through all seasons - which bothers him most in the heat of the summer. Chaos is a large wolf, ranging around thirty-six inches tall and eighty-seven pounds heavy. He has light amber eyes that tend to shine bright, causing them to seem yellow. Since he is such a large wolf he tends to stick to the better fighting and hunting ranks, also due to how muscular he is.

{ ♥ take a look through my eyes

    "There's really not that much to me, I'm not as complicated as some of the brutes and most females. Boy, do they get complicated. Ever since I was a pup I loved to go on adventures and get myself into trouble, so I suppose you could call me mischievous. There hasn't been a single time where I haven't turned down a hunt or trip to somewhere other than our camp. I often like to wander places where I don't belong and check out things that most other wolves are afraid of - such as the occasional bear tracks, human traps, things like that. I'm careful, but I like doing what I do.

    If someone were to come up to me and ask for a fight, I would not turn them down. There are occasions when I'm too lazy or tired to fight and will give them a better time later on, but I won't even say 'no'. It doesn't matter what the fight is for - a female, over a mark on the territory, or just a play fight. I will never turn it down. So, I guess you can say I'm a fierce fighter and pretty defensive. The largest amount of defense I tend to put up is when someone threatens a pack-mate that I'm fond of or myself, so I suggest you not doing that with me.

    Despite my hard features and parts of my personality that are rough around the edges, I can be kind to those who don't get on my nerves - so just don't get on them. If I get angry at someone, they have given me a reason to be angry. I often become closer to those who want to play fight, hunt or simply be around me. Those who don't try, won't get to know me. Simple as that. Simple as me."

    "My favorite thing to do is hunt fish - it's relaxing and fun, especially when others are around and they fall into the water. I also like females. I like to be around them, flirt, etcetera. Another one of my hobbies is basking in the sun on a tanning rock or in a large amount of grass, that way I'm not on the cold, hard surface of the ground. There are small things I like such as play fighting, howling to the moon, eating, and sleeping, but those aren't as important to know."

    "I hate, with an extreme passion, wolves who think they're better than myself. Especially those who think they're good enough to bring the fight to me and then brag about it, before it even happens. I absolutely hate it. I guess some dislikes I have are mouth-talkers, chatter boxes and wolves that cower at any chance they get."

{ ♥ make your own trail

    "I grew up in the pack I'm currently in, raised for a few years by my parents and then by a pup-sitter named Salika. My parents lost their lives on a rough winter, about five seasons ago, and from their Salika became a mother-figure in my eyes. She knew I was much to deal with, but took on the challenge anyway. She died just a season ago, but it was her time to go. My history isn't too complicated - basically, I was born and raised in this pack and still belong, now becoming an Alpha Guard. I hope to make a future in this pack and build on my history, maybe even with some danger or mischief."

    "Do you see anyone beside me? Clearly I don't have a family. I like females, but don't currently have a crush or mate. If I had a crush, I would still be flirting, but I suppose if I had a mate I wouldn't. That's how you will know when I finally get one, if that ever happens."

{ Okeey, decide now if you want your wolf to be in the pack or not to start off, and eveyone is up. If you don't like your rank, please tell me. Don't let your wolves be anti-social, either (unless that's their personality) ^__^ ~

Plink...plink...plink

Small hollowed drops of rain echoed into the alphess's ears. She slowly fluttered her eyelids open, displaying her liquid-gold orbs. They blinked away sleep, though it ebbed away quickly because of the cold. No fight. To cold to do anything but move. The chilled dame yawned and slid two feet and her head out of the den, a strip of leaves dragging on her clean snow-white fur. Dream noted no snow and shook her pelt, quietly padding off to her alpha rock. Fresh dew from the bedraggled grass crunched loudly and she took a deep breath for fresh air. Her routine was same-old; her getting up first, scanning camp, waiting for her pack to wake, and sometimes they'd fetch breakfast. Mostly game nowadays, for though the snow has yet to scour the hills, at the slightest cold breath the elk migrated.

The white fae jumped gracefully and curled her tail over her paws to warm the ice that grew in her fur overnight. Ears alert and swiveling, nose twitching, eyes sharp: not even a bird chirp could be heard. In the dead silence Dream heard faint crushing to her left. Her head shot out with such sharpness her neck grew warm with pain. The alphess cleared her throat, rolled her haunches backward and scenting the air. Wolves. And...Void? Ever Black Void looked so much like their father Jagger. Except for the eyes, for Void's were a a deep forest green like their uncle. It was in fact the anniversary of their mother's passing, but she didn't have the guts to inform her brother. It would bring back to many bad memories, and probably disrupt the bickering packs. Dream was known as the better one in spirit, Void's said to be wicked because of Jagger. Her brother fixed it though. Kind of. If there is one thing she learned from her vile memories, it is they can't be erased.

Winter Dreams on a Summer Night scanned her territory. She would renew the markings today for any intruders, but didn't necassarily want to. Small sprouts of yellowed grass poked up from the cold dirt, lacking what it had been in the summer time. The frigid-ness of it all dragged her back to the past. Someone in particular was pulling her. The very same wolf who is searching for them and out for blood. Dream shivered at the thought and her pelt twitched slightly. Quickly, she darted of alpha rock at the scent of other strange wolves. With the sun behind her head, she looked somewhat of a spirit. She was quite lovely, with her ivory colored pelt and bright gold eyes, but never really cared, nor thought so. When given attention, she shies away like the bashful pup she used to be.

Though young, merely two-and-a-half, she had a lot of experience under her belt. Her training was vigorous and she is classified deadly in a fight. Mostly, she'll use her small, elegant body to dart away from blows, but given the right spot to attack, she'll g for the kill. Most underestimate her, which she likes. A hidden power ad poker-face are her best allies in a fight.

Shaking her head clear, Dream wondered what she could accomplish today. She was proud of her growing pack, and would give most the day off besides eary morning duties. In case everyone was not up, she tilted her head back and ommitted a some-what soft howl, a friendly reminder that the sun was here.

{Ash}

Ash awoke to the sound of her alpha's howl. She rose from her resting spot, the chill of the early morning greeting her. She shook herself off, the few leaves that had landed on her in the night drifting off her pelt and on to the floor. "Good morning sun." She said, happy for another day. Blinking away sleep from her eyes, she walked into the main part of camp. "Good morning Dream." She said quietly, dipping her head. The young fae was still a little confused on how to show and what was the required amount of respect for the alpha-ess.

Ash continued on her walk, wondering whether to go get her own food, or wait for the hunters to bring it back. She thought it would be logical for them to do the hunting, as it was their job, but she could do it herself. After all, she had done so before she joined Shining Moon. Though she didn't eat much, she didn't want to go get something for herself and not have anything for anyone else.

Smelling the air, Ash smelled Void, the beta, and some other wolves. She thought nothing of it, as it didn't seem to her they were in the territory. Besides, Dream didn't appear to be worried about it. Another scent registered in her brain. Rain! It wasn't raining all that much, but she was surprised she hadn't noticed it earlier. Not rain even, just dew, still falling from the sky. The sun was just barely rising, not yet warm enough to stop the dew from falling.

Sitting in a patch of sunlight, Ash waited for the sun to warm her up a bit. The warmth hit her pelt, and it seemed to seep into her skin and then her bones. Stretching, she felt a yawn creeping up on her. Letting it out, she suddenly felt more awake. Standing up, she paced around waiting for the rest of the pack to wake up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
{Dusket}
Dusket was awake before Dream's waking howl. He had chosen not to leave his resting spot until absolutely necessary. He had had a mainly restless sleep the night before. Standing up, he stretched, his muscles seemingly awaken as well. His large, muscular frame moved smoothly into the main part of camp. "'Morning Dream." Dusket said, dipping his head.
The alpha guard smelled the air in front of him, looking for Chaos. Chaos was the other alpha guard, his partner of sorts. Both of them were, in a sense, sworn to protect the alphas, betas, and deltas. At this present moment in time, there were no deltas in the pack, and neither alpha nor beta had a mate. So basically, they protected two other wolves. Go figure.
Tipping his face upward, Dusket scented the air. "Void. Other wolves." He thought, the scents registering in his mind. The other wolves may or may not be suspicious, so he decided to linger with in sight of Dream. Void, he figured, could defend himself, seeing as he had left long before everyone else was awake. Even with his scent, Dusket still couldn't discern where the beta was.
Planting himself in a patch of sunlight, Dusket gazed around the camp, deciding not to go back to sleep. The rest of the pack would be up soon, and he didn't want to be asleep when they did. Looking at the sky, he waited for everyone else to wake up.
Tsunami || Male || Lead Hunter
Waking Up || Tired/Groggy || No one || No Love Interest
-A cold gust of wind tearing through the entrance to the den was what awoke Tsunami that morning. Allowing instinct to take control he jolted away from the blast, keeping his back to it. Of course his eyes remained firmly shut, wanting to avoid any sort of wind hitting their surface. When their force began to die down he slowly opened one eye, testing to see if the wind would come back as strong as before. After a few seconds of nothing happening he opened his other one. There was no surprise wind that hit him, which was good. Because he was tired and didn’t exactly think he could deal with such a thing this early in the morning.
-Turning his entire body he took a step closer to the entrance. His head poked out first, taking in the frigid air of the morning. Taking in his surroundings he noticed that the alpha, Dream, and beta, Void, seemed to be the only others up. Which he didn’t mind, he preferred being up as one of the first. It offered more time to wake up before being talked to by any other wolves. Which of course he didn’t mind, but it was still strange for him. He hadn’t been in a pack for a while, though it seemed this one was different. Not led by an imbecile alpha that was too young to take the place. Who made others do their duties and then took all the credit. Despicable, which was what he thought of it. An alpha should be willing to get up every once and a while and do some work. Not force their pack to do it all. And while he did understand that wolves had ranks, certain responsibilities that were theirs, so did an alpha.
-Shaking the thoughts from his head he took a moment to bask in the wonderful coolness of winter. There was something about it that he loved. Maybe it was the fact that prey was always more of a challenge, or maybe it was the whistling winds that lulled him to sleep in the night. Whatever it was, one could only guess so many times. Hearing two new paw sets moving he looked to notice Ash and Dusket arising. He himself knew that with more wolves awaking he would need to pull the hunters together to hunt, something that should be getting done already. He let the rest of his body trickle into the open, paw pads meeting the wet grass. Turning his head he looked up at Dream, falling into more of his serious mode. A mode specifically for hunting. “P-permission to pull t-together a hunt?” He asked, and while his voice was not too shy, he still stumbled over a few words. Something very common for the wolf.
{I'll post for Temple either later tonight or early tomorrow. I lost my work for Tsunami alone three different times before successfully posting it. My muse has run thin..}
{Fluer-De-Lis {{ Loner || No Crush
"All you left behind... is a chalk outline."
          Lily woke to a faint howl. She looks to Admiral, hope lingering her amber eyes. It sounded like the type of howl an Alpha would give off. This gave Lily hope as she hauled herself to her feet. Her tail and head low, the gray fae moved towards the howl, pulling her ears back. Suddenly, her slinking movements came to a complete and utter stop. She smelt pack boundaries, and she didn't want to cause trouble. The quiet wolf, Admiral, moved to her side. She wanted to join this pack, but knew naught what the Alpha would think.
          Lily is a scrawny fae at this point. She has had the scrapping of other packs, packs that were nomadic. The elk had left and Lily had lost her touch with hunting. Lily was used to picking off baby deer in spring or taking down bull elks with other hunters. But she didn't have a pack. She had tried to take on squirrels and rabbits, but the stupid animals were too fast. Lily felt shamed for not being able to take down the simplest of animals.
          Lily decided it would be best to take her chances with this pack. She lifted her head and let out her trademark howl. All of her howls seemed to be the same. Long and light, like it was natural for her to howl. It sounded feminine, to her. It could sound like a brute from a few miles away, but the fae doubted it. She didn't let out another howl, waiting for a response or a wolf. She lefted her left front paw, put it down and lifted the other. She was nervous and cold. Lily kept this going for a little bit then stopped.
{Admiral {{ Loner || No Crush
"I've been shattered by the ones I thought I loved.
          Admiral woke to a faint howl. He glanced to his companion, Lily. He saw hope in those eyes, and it broke his heart. The younger fae had kept hope in her heart this whole time. He hoped the Alpha of this pack was nice. He slunk to her side as she stopped and listened to the melodic howl. He was hungry, the duo hadn't been very able to hunt. Everything evaded them and elk had moved on. He knew the fae's shame.
          The older brute watched her quirky habits. He had found an unlikely friend in the fae, even though she was quiet in fall and winter. But in spring and summer... a whole different story. She was so happy and outgoing then. It was a wonder to him why packs had moved away from them. The two were an odd pairing, he gave them that, but it's not like he or her would do anything to hurt them. Perhaps Lily's history got around.
          Admiral was one of the few to know Lily's history. It was horrid, and he understood why she didn't want it known. He felt bad for the fae. She seemed so sensitive to what others think of her. He knew all she wants is to be friends with everyone. Boy, is she in for a rude awakening. It she gets a mate that someone else wants to be mates with then she will most likely end up with an enemy on her hands. He hoped she would make many friends though.
