Nova’s eyes never left the pup as he threw a tantrum on going to bed early. Maybe she had worded herself wrong and he did not understand that she wasn’t sending him to bed at that time. That actually was not in her job description to make sure that Alpha’s son was able to get his winks in. Nova laughed with pure bliss at the pup’s defiance on going to bed so early. The sun was still out, beaming across the skylines and looping through clouds. There was no way any of them were going to get any sleep - at least for the next few hours.
“Eros I -” she started to speak again , but was met with a realization that the uproar on slumber was entirely unnecessary. Something shifted in the pup, as he seemed like he was ready to race without saying GO! From what Liberty told her about him , Eros was fast - like a bolt. Nova was risking a lot asking the pup for an old fashioned race. She would have taken a bet that she would have beat him in a race, thinking about the overly full puppy trying to outrun her. Nova’s mentally expression turned over as she thought about the innocent pup growing up behind Liberty - not the one the pack was used to. The one that showed out during their walk earlier. The one who sent shivers down her bones as he threatened to replace her for simply disagreeing with his plan. Something oddly dark from someone that the entire pack put full trust into. Nova had to shake the thought away as the duo were joined by another..
Dark brown eyes rest upon the black and white wolf, as she spoke to her earlier in the day. It was clear that Nova did not get a chance to spend time with the pack like she had hoped. It has only been a few weeks and there are a lot of wolves in this pack. With her being in the high ranks she was swamped with other things with Liberty to secure their future. Her ears tilted forward at Gauge - her apology now finished Nova thought about what she should say. In all actuality , Nova was never upset with Gauge for what she had done earlier. The Beta felt no ill toward Gauge for her behavior earlier. ‘I should ask about that, but Eros is here.’ her thoughts protruded. With Eros still around her, she figured she’d brush it off for now , to not cause anymore potential fuss. “Thank you, Gauge.” her words were calmly spoken. There will never be an adult conversation that Nova would have in front of the pups of the pack. They needed to focus on other things like learning skills and having fun. Not the drama side of life , that crept at its own pace.
Attention now being on Eros - Nova quietly watched as Gauge interacted with him. The pup exclaimed with glee about his dinner crush. Her tail wagged slowly in tune with the excitement the pup had about finishing the chunk of meat that she provided to him before. He had finally , verbally, accepted her offer on the race. Little did he know, his food had yet to digest in his small belly. Nova smirked in confidence that he would not be winning the race they were about to run.

| Star Light | Pup | W/Kairo, Yomi , Kuroi | Present |
Kiyu sat silently between the three as they all went back and forth with conversation. The topic of their conversation did not exactly interest her, especially since they said they were discussing the future. That would be the last thing on Kiyu’s mind. In the future, present Kiyu knew that she would grow up and no longer have the responsibilities of a pup anymore. She would have to have a role in the pack or be a loner , somehow managing to survive every single day. If Kiyu was comfortable enough with the three of them, she would stick her tongue out in disgust for being an adult. Instead, she would use her words to tell them how much she despised the idea of growing up. “The future doesn’t sound… like fun.” she admitted to them.
The topic had quickly changed when Kairo asked her what Louie did not want her to see. Between Scythe scolding her pups and the elder dying - she did not know exactly what to say. Of course, she knew that her father had nothing to do with the death of Kikui. He wouldn’t hurt someone who did not pose a threat to the family. “Well, the wrath that Scythe was delivering to these two.” she dipped her head towards the other girls. Realistically , she could say that he did not want her around the drama that occurred from the pups being at the border earlier that day, but it never crossed her mind to say it.

After a few more laps at the water, Louie felt the coldness stiffen his chest. He figured the water was too cold for him at the moment and he should wait for another time. His eyes never left the fae near him, even after she made herself clear of who she was and where she was from. The oversized grey wolf moved towards her - carefully. Even though they were both from the same pack and unfortunately did not get the chance to be introduced, Louie wanted to remain cautious for now. “I don’t think I met you when we arrived. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Cleo.” he spoke with ease. Once he deemed that he was close enough to her, he stopped in his tracks.
“What brings you to the water, tranquility ?” he questioned her. Surely, she could have been out for a drink like himself or maybe it was a place to escape when the pack grew too chaotic for one wolf to handle. Louie wandered here on his own , while he waited for the call from Dante to remove Kikui from the pack. Maybe she was hiding from the pack at the moment with everything going on. ‘Maybe death is too much for her.’ he thought to himself.

Star Light | Hunter | W/Cypher & Scythe | Panicked |
The huntress completely nuzzled her way under him to lift his head as well as pick up the metallic smell that added to the aroma of their dinner. At first, Athena thought that the smell could have come from the kill - maybe the animal was leaking blood which would not have been out of the ordinary. Her eyes scanned over the prey before them as the others held the animal by its legs. She did not see any leakage from the prey , which soon turned her to see Cypher’s belly covered in red. The wolf quietly whimpered , out of fear no less , that he would not make the trip back to camp.‘ Don't overthink it, just get him home- ‘ her thoughts yelled to her.
Without a second thought, she got him onto her back. His belly was now on her back , which meant she too would be covered in blood - it was just his versus her own. Cypher's head was now on the right side of her as she began to trott carefully back to the camp grounds. She ensured that she did not jump or move with haste to prevent herself from dropping the lead hunter on the ground.
It did not take long for Athena to reach the pack grounds - even with her walking on eggshells through the trees. She slowly made her way to the healer’s den , once she arrived - Athena slowly brought her body to ground level , rolling his body gently off of her back . His body was completely on the ground of the den. She nudged his muzzle softly, pressing her nose against his. “You’re going to be okay.” she whispered to him, before turning her attention to Scythe who was already in the den, seeming to be collecting something.
“Scythe I’m glad you’re here. We were on a hunt and an…” she started to roll words off her tongue , but failed to complete her sentence. She was startled with the overwhelming fact that Cypher was bleeding from underneath. She realized that her freaking out would not help Cypher recover or Scythe with his care. Athena inhaled and exhaled to herself , relaxing her nerves from everything that had happened in the few minutes it took for her to get back to the camp.
Now that she had her composure together, she was sure she could tell Scythe what happened right before the wolf’s demise. “He fainted on our way back from the hunt, and has been bleeding since , a few moments before he was showing signs of - pain.” she finally explained to the healer. Hopefully that was helpful enough for the healer to have a rough idea. Even though the evidence was on her back and his belly. She lowered her haunches to the ground of the den , awaiting for Scythe to say something.
