Flo yelped as something stood on her paw, and ducked lower. She slowly lifted her head as the smoke cleared.

Zina knew something had trod on her tail. It hurt. But at leastshe was alive.

[Ash flight.]

King's eyes suddenly widened as the buffalo stampeded. Growling, he leapt out onto the back of the leading, teeth sinking into it's shoulder. The large bull snorted in disgust and pulled to a halt, throwing the canine off. It puffed and kept running - and the point of him attacking it was to give the rest of the dogs enough time. The ex-police dog yelped as a hoof landed on his back, but luckily he had raced out in time for his spine to be in okay shape, only his hind leg was trampled. He needed to get out of the centre of it all, and fast. As another hoof came and landed once again on his rear end, King yelped and bounded forwards, leaping into the air with mustered up energy and landing with a thud and limp movement onto the ledge. Both legs were broken, the brute knew, but he tried his best to distract the herd or are least slow it down.

Nim stood up from behind the log and felt dizzy. Her eye was swollen shut from a hoof to the eye, and she was furious at Flo. She slowly made her way to the closest injured dog, King. "Are you alright?" She panted.

When the buffalo cleared, Flo helped Zina up, then walked away.

[Ash flight.]

King shook his head. "Do I look all right?!" He snapped, not meaning to sound so harsh. And even so, he wouldn't accept a gesture of help. Laying back on his side with his limp legs sprawled out behind him, the shepherd flicked his ears. "Sorry...I'll be fine, I'd worry about someone else if I were you." The dog sighed and pulled his front paws up along with his head.

[Sorry to pester you guys again, but are they in a forest? I know they probably are, I just wanted to make sure so I didn't make any embarrassing mistakes ^^]

Zina smiled. "Thanks." Then she looked over at King, and walked his way.

(Yup, they are in the forest.)

Idaho snapped her head up, her nose twitching as she sniffed the air. Wolf, she thought, a growl rising in her throat. Great, now I'll have to fight my way outta here. She started walking briskly away from the scent, but found herself slowing down and eventually stopping. They might let me join their pack, and then I wouldn't have to keep running from other packs. She turned around hesitantly, then started walking, following her trail back to where she had smelled the wolf.

Nim was unwilling to go near Flo, even though it was clear King didn't want help. Plus it looked like both his legs were broken. She saw Zina walking over. "Well it looks like you're going to be fussed over whether you want it or not," she said quietly and smiled.
