The she-wolf smiles and gives her mate a lick, "Any chance I can avoid a lecture about not fighting while heavy with pups?" She says with a playful grin, trying to cheer him up. She gently nuzzles him, her heart warming as she does so, she truly cared for this wolf and would risk everything for him.

The brute shakes his head no, "I'd love to hear it." He says with a smile, settling in to listen intently to her tale. After all, this is where his family started, he wanted to know everything.

I look at the brute and settle in, getting ready to tell the story. "Well, my mother was a loner and lived in this den when she was a pup. She met a lovely and strong male. They became mates and my mother became pregnant. Sadly, only two pups were born and neither of them made it. They waited a while and tried once more. My mother was at four week and my father was killed by terrible humans. My mother gave birth alone, in this very den. In fact," I got up and sniffed around. I found a spot that smelled different than the rest of the den. I began to dig at the ground, after a few minutes of digging, I found what I was looking for. "This bone was the only bone that made it through an attack of multiple lone wolves that tried to make a pack. They were looking for territory and tried to attack us for it. All of the bones were destroyed, except this one. This bone was passed down many generations. These markings are actually writing. Each row of marks is actually one of my grandmother's and how many pups they had that were successful in living. My great great great great great grandmothers was first. Then her daughters, then theirs, and so on. My mother's mark was the last. Now I will have to mark it when our pups make it to one month."

The brute nods, listening to the story, by the end his eyes had lit up. He loved the history behind the spot. His tail wags, "Wow, I had no idea! Someday, our pups pups will leave their mark." He states, his heart soaring as he does so.

The fae's heart sinks, her eyes fill with fire and she looks back in the direction Shadow went, she speeds off, as fast as her pump,yet lithe body would take her. She was out for blood, it didn't matter what got her way now, she was on a warpath. Her heart was set on drawing blood, her claws and teeth ache for it. (I won't have her attack the poor wolf again, instead she's taking it out on an NPC) Rather than the usual soft huffs, her breaths came out as snarls. The wolf she was devoted to was hurt, and that wouldn't stand. She races across the snow, nearly running head first into a coal colored brute. The wolf quickly turns to apologize, cut short by Rae's teeth. She tears into the wolf, her mind and heart numb as she does so. She steps back, licking her maw, only fur and crimson pieces left of the wolf. She had to admit, despite it not being Shadow she felt much better,she felt powerful.

I sat in my den, now my eyes were dry. No tears. With so many thoughts running through my head, I came across the thought of my pups. "Oh my gosh!" I said to myself, quietly,"Rae is at 8 weeks! She can give birth any day now!" I got up, and got halfway out of the den. "Wait, is it normally ten or eight weeks?" I asked to no one. Not being able to remember, I turned around and walked into the den. I heard distant snarls. They were from a female wolf. They sounded familiar. Rae! What is she doing? I got up and ran out of the den. Running around, looking for her. No where to be found. It started to snow even harder now, almost a blizzard. I tried to find a scent but the snow covered any recent smell rapidly. I looked around for my mate. I was extremely worried. If she went far, she has a small chance of finding camp. I ran into the woods, crashing into trees and bushes. I hit my leg on a sharp branch, dropping me to my belly. I tried to get up and stumbled, crashing back down. My leg got a deep cut, to deep to walk on. I tried to let out a howl but the cut hurt so much that my howl came out as a light breath.

I look at the wolf in front of me and slightly frown. "I hope so. I saw that those furless weirdos have been cutting down more trees and they have left more junk around. Who knows when the will decide to use their stupid guns or whatever they're called to destroy our dens. Even this one. I don't understand. How are humans brace enough to travel through these woods to this spot. We need to make them more afraid. But, it won't be likely that humans will get scared off by wolves. They only see wolves as jumbled of pelts to steal."

The she-wolf stood panting for a long time, just as quickly as the rage had consumed her, she snapped out of it, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. It was then that she realized-it was snowing,hard. On top of that, the snow and ice easily made its way through her pelt, stinging the skin under it, her eyes began to water. She knew her mate would be worried and tried to call for him, but the aggressive storm nearly knocked the wind out of her. Her small figure was held down only by her very swollen belly. She began to romp through the snow, traveling as fast as she dared. Surely camp wasn't too far? She left a little trail of dripping blood, that is until it froze on her fur. The trail she left was buried as quickly as it was made.

The Brute chuckles softly, "Oh don't worry,love. They will touch none of our pack, that is, unless they have a death wish." He says lightly, his voice had an underlying deep boom to it, his eyes were full of that wild aggression he hid deep inside, and usually saved for the other pack. But these flesh monsters with their fire sticks and pelt paw covers, he would end them as swiftly as he could. Now that he was a father and mate, nothing would stand in his way, the fire in his heart grew tenfold. He had more to lose, more to risk, and more fighting spirit than ever.

I nuzzled the brute. My brute. I noticed that it was snowing a lot harder now. "Thank you, dear. We should head back, it's a blizzard outside." I got up and motioned outside of the den. I heard a howl of distress from my brother. Not caring for it at all.

After a while, the pain eased up the slightest bit. I finally howled to my fae, who, as far as I knew, was not at camp. The howl was loud enough that even my sister would be able to hear.

The large wolf stands and nods, waiting for his mate so that he could protect her from animals and the harsh storm.He hears a distress call from the mangy dog Lukas and smiles, feeling delighted by it.

Finally, the fae hears her mates call and rushes towards the sound before the wind takes it from her, through the storm she could see a dark figure in the distance, she begins to romp towards it, letting out a shrill yelp and her left forepaw lands heavily on a little iced over pool of water, sending her front half plummeting. IT certainly wasn't deep enough to swim in, it went to about her neck. She began to shake harder than before, now covered in frozen blood and water, her eyes and nose running and she trudged through the storm.

Altar walked through the forest, low to the ground. He was hunting. He wanted to find Killian some food, as she hadn't eaten as far as he knew all day. He caught a whiff of something, but lost the scent in the wind. "Argh!!!"
He heard some birds in the distance, and looked up, noticing a hawk circling.
Hawks circle dead things.. maybe I can steal. He thought to himself, going under to where the hawk was circling.

I see a light colored silhouette in the distance. Realizing it was Rae, I stumbled to my paws and ran with three legs over to her. She plummeted into the freezing water and got out, covered with ice and blood. Her crimson maw was now a crimson maw with light strips of ice raging through it. I rested her on my shoulder, the same side as my bad paw and almost fell. I stayed standing though. I gently ran her through the woods and back to our white camp, my bloody paw now frozen in place due to the frozen blood. I took her into the nice and dry den, and covered both of us with a bear pelt. "Are you alright, Rae? What were you thinking?" I asked her, licking my frozen, stinging paw.

I trotted out of the den with the brute avoiding all predators and safely getting back to camp. "Where is everyone?" I asked, getting worried about the terrible blizzard.
