--The humans came and Kibwana jumped down, seeing they were holding meat. They dropped it on the floor and he hungrily ate it as they applied a leash, harness, muzzle, and some gloves to keep him from clawing people. He looked silly, but the humans thought he looked cute. Kibwana growled as they walked him out the cage.

Adrianna purred as a human took her out of her cage, hooking only a leash on her with a loop rope collar. She had never misbehaved, so she got the privilege of doing what she was about to do. The human handler, a male who was the one who normally fed me and took me for walks, lead me out amongst the crowd of people. She heard oohs and ahhs as he did some simple tricks with her, then he laid her down on the floor and let some of the human cubs come up and pet her with bite safe gloves. She purred and resisted the urge to rub against them in affection, because she knew that she would topple them over if she tried that.

Eshe stared down at the water. Unsheathed her claws, she snagged a fish, a larger one. She could almost see the drool coming down her muzzle, but in haste she flicked it over to Eclipse. Snagging one for herself, she went to sit by the panther. As though reading his mind, she said "I know what it feels like to be cooped up; we all do."

"You don't understand...look at them outside taken for walks" He lowered his head onto the ground when a tall gruff man came up to the cage bars and pointed. "Can I take that one out?" He asked suddenly. The keeper almost looked at him with pure shock. "I'm sorry sir but he is too aggressive and unpredictable." The man sighed but quickly went to his wife and retrieved his wallet. "I'll pay you!" He stuttered. Sighing the human couldn't say no, they needed the money. He cautiously entered Eclipse's cage. The black panther growled as a thick and tight chain was looped over his neck, an unfamiliar feeling."Eshe...looks like I do get to go out after all...my plan may fall into place. I'm trying to escape!" Eclipse whispered as he was dragged out roughly.

Adrianna heard the panther and growled to him, "Eclipse, don't even try. You'll ruin it for all of us!"

I smiled as Adrianna, "And what are you going to do about it?" I asked, tugging already on my leash away from the path.

"Escape?" Eshe gasped out. Having been in a cage her whole life, escape was jut a fantasy. And now Eclipse was going to attempt it! Throwing herself against the bars, she yowled at the humans. " I wanna come too!" Edge suddenly exclaimed, hoping they'd notice her too. Maybe if another cat was trying to escape, so could she! The humans gathered around her, while Eclipse was being dragged out, to watch her protest. "Mommy, can I pet the kitty?" A little girl was whining to her mother, who then gave a skeptical look to one of the keepers. Shrugging, he said "She can get feisty, but I should be able to handle her." The keeper put the cold metal collar on her, and picked her up. He looked surprised when Eshe didn't protest.

Adrianna immediately backed down, flattening her ears and tucking her tail, dipping her head at the larger, stronger male. She was at no size or strength for a fight or argument. She was a runt, and not about to attack the panther. She lowered her head and stuttered, "N-nothing."

Smoke watched all this happen, envy in his eyes as Eshe was picked up out of the cage.

I watched her cower down, a few children staring at how dominant I was over the smaller cats. They smiled and walked over to pet me but the keeper halted them. "No no no no! He is not for small children" I growled, curling my lips into a half snarl, as one of their hands nearly touched me. Watching as Eshe was taken out to, but what seemed to be a family friend.
I walked up to her. "Now when they take us for a walk...they always want a picture. So I heard, they takes us to stand and hand the leash to the child or adult. They hold is loosely." I added, "Then we make a break for it!"

Eshe stared at the panther. "Wow, you've really thought this through!" Eshe wondered if it would actually work. "But will the keepers be ok with families holding your leash?" She questioned, hoping that this plan would be foolproof. Meanwhile, the children that had tried to pet Eclipse had come over to her. She stiffened, tense, but didn't make any aggressive movements. Not only was she surprising the keeper, but also herself. "I like the kitty!" One of the little girls exclaimed. "Can I hold her?" The keeper stared down at Eshe, and said "Why not? She's been very good so far." He handed Eshe to the girl, and she watched as the little girl let the leash drop.
